Abstract

The chemical industry is associated with high occupational risks due to hazardous chemicals, pressurized equipment, and complex production processes. Therefore, the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is essential to prevent workplace accidents and support sustainable industrial operations. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of OHS in the Production Plant-1 environment of PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia and identify areas requiring improvement. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using primary and secondary data collected through direct observation, interviews, documentation studies, and analysis of the company’s I’m Safe program records. Data were processed through reduction, classification, tabulation, and presentation to assess OHS practices comprehensively. The findings show that workers consistently comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and that emergency preparedness systems, including fire extinguishers, evacuation routes, Emergency Response Teams (ERT), and safety training programs, have been implemented effectively. However, deficiencies were identified in pipeline identification and safety signage systems. Most production pipelines lacked flow direction markers, and several work areas were not adequately equipped with safety signs. In addition, inconsistencies were observed in Pre-Start Briefing implementation and procedural compliance despite high participation in the I’m Safe program. As an improvement measure, flow direction markers were installed on production pipelines. Overall, PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia has demonstrated a strong commitment to OHSMS implementation, although improvements in hazard communication, risk control, and procedural consistency remain necessary. Keywords : OHS, Safety Management System, Hazard Communication, Chemical Industry, Pipeline IdentificationTerdiri

Abstract

Indonesia’s labor market continues to face structural challenges characterized by disparities in human capital quality, regional economic inequality, and variations in open unemployment rates across provinces. This study aims to analyze the effect of human capital quality on labor market conditions, proxied by the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in 2024. Human capital is measured using the Human Development Index (HDI) and Mean Years of Schooling (MYS), while control variables include Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita and poverty rate. This study employs a quantitative approach using cross-sectional secondary data from 34 provinces obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS). A binary logistic regression model is applied to estimate the probability of provinces falling into a high unemployment category. The results indicate that the model is appropriate, with a Nagelkerke R² of 0.598 and a classification accuracy of 79.4%. Partially, HDI has a negative and significant effect on high unemployment, with an odds ratio of 0.724, implying that a one-point increase in HDI reduces the likelihood of high unemployment by 27.6%. In contrast, MYS has a positive and significant effect, with an odds ratio of 2.574, indicating a mismatch between educational attainment and labor market absorption. Meanwhile, GRDP per capita and poverty rate are statistically insignificant. These findings suggest that improvements in human capital have not been fully accompanied by structural economic transformation capable of absorbing educated labor. Keywords : Binary Logistic Regression, Human Development Index, Labor Market, Mean Years of Schooling, Open Unemployment Rate

Abstract

Digital transformation has created opportunities and challenges for halal SMEs in Indonesia, particularly regarding their ability to utilize technology and apply Islamic principles to digital business activities. This study aims to analyze the influence of attitudes toward technology, digital capabilities, and environmental factors on the competitive behavior of halal SMEs, as well as test the mediating role of digital Islamic literacy. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, data were collected via questionnaires from 220 active halal SME participants utilizing digital platforms and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that attitudes toward technology and digital capabilities had a positive significant effect on digital Islamic literacy, whereas environmental factors had no significant effect. Furthermore, attitudes toward technology, environmental factors, and digital Islamic literacy had a positive significant influence on competitive behavior, while digital capabilities had a negative significant influence. Digital Islamic literacy was found to mediate the influence of attitudes toward technology and digital capabilities on competitive behavior but did not mediate the effect of environmental factors. These findings suggest that digital Islamic literacy is an important mechanism in converting digital skills into competitive advantages for halal SMEs in the digital era. Keywords : halal MSMEs, competitive behavior, Sharia digital literacy, digital transformation, PLS-SEM

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Islamic financial literacy, product knowledge, and religiosity on the decision to use Islamic banking services, with trust and brand image as mediating variables. The study was motivated by the low market share of Islamic banking in Indonesia despite the country having the largest Muslim population in the world. This research employed a quantitative approach using explanatory research design. Data were collected through online questionnaires distributed to 251 respondents who had used Islamic banking services in the Greater Jakarta area. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The findings reveal that Islamic financial literacy, product knowledge, and brand image have a positive and significant effect on the decision to use Islamic banking services. In contrast, religiosity and trust do not significantly influence usage decisions. Furthermore, brand image successfully mediates the relationship between Islamic financial literacy and product knowledge toward the decision to use Islamic banking services, while trust fails to act as a significant mediating variable. These findings indicate that functional and psychological factors, particularly brand image, play a more dominant role than religiosity in influencing the use of Islamic banking services among urban communitiesKeywords : Brand image, Islamic banking, Islamic financial literacy, product knowledge, religiosity.

Abstract

The Indonesian Islamic Banking Development and Strengthening Roadmap (RP3SI) 2023-2027 represents a strategic framework for transforming the national Islamic banking industry. This research analyzes the ideological meaning of Pillar 1 on Strengthening Industrial Structure and Resilience through Hans-Georg Gadamer2019; philosophical hermeneutics approach, particularly the concept of fusion of horizons. Using an interpretive qualitative method, this study explores the dialogue between the technocratic horizon emphasizing efficiency and consolidation with the Islamic values horizon centered on maqashid shariah. The results show that RP3SI tends to be technocratic with dominant dictions such as ,consolidation, operational efficiency, competitiveness, without explicit articulation of distributive justice and advocacy for vulnerable groups. The BUS-BPRS consolidation and UUS spin-off strategies have potential to improve industry stability but contain risks of marginalizing small Islamic banks and MSMEs. This research concludes that policy reorientation is needed to integrate structural efficiency with maqashid shariah values to ensure Islamic banking remains inclusive, just, and oriented toward social welfare. Keywords: Islamic Banking Roadmap, RP3SI, Gadamerian Hermeneutics, Fusion of Horizons, Maqashid Shariah.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of e-commerce in Indonesia has created new opportunities and challenges for promoting environmentally friendly consumption. This study investigates the intention–behavior gap in green purchasing on e-commerce platforms by focusing on three key constructs: perceived convenience, trust-based online shopping expectations, and green purchase intention/behavior. Data from an online survey of 174 active e-commerce users, selected via purposive sampling, were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The measurement model demonstrates satisfactory reliability and convergent validity for all three constructs. The results show that perceived convenience significantly enhances trust-based expectations and green purchase intentions, while trust-based expectations strongly predict intention. Green purchase intention is very closely associated with actual green purchasing behavior, yet a small but meaningful intention–behavior gap persists at the aggregate level. The study also identifies a dual gap: an objective discrepancy between intention and behavior, and a subjective tendency among consumers to underestimate this inconsistency, indicating optimism bias. Theoretically, the findings confirm an integrated TPB–TAM–UTAUT model in the context of green e-commerce, highlighting the mediating roles of convenience and trust-based expectations. Practically, the results emphasize the importance of aligning online shopping experiences with perceived convenience and trust to effectively convert strong pro-environmental intentions into consistent green purchasing behavior in Indonesia’s expanding e-commerce market. Keywords: Intention–behavior gap; perceived convenience; online shopping expectation; trust-based expectation; green purchase intention; green purchasing behavior; e-commerce Indonesia

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic priority in the banking industry, requiring organizations to strengthen not only technological capabilities but also human resource competencies. Knowledge Management (KM) plays a crucial role in supporting human resource development by facilitating knowledge creation, acquisition, storage, sharing, and application. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Knowledge Management as a human resource development strategy to support digital transformation at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving managers and employees directly engaged in Knowledge Management and human resource development initiatives. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that Knowledge Management has evolved beyond information management into a strategic organizational capability that enhances digital competencies, organizational learning, innovation, and employee adaptability. The implementation of Learning Management Systems, knowledge sharing, coaching, mentoring, and communities of practice significantly strengthens workforce readiness for digital transformation. Leadership commitment, learning culture, and digital infrastructure were identified as key enabling factors, while differences in digital competencies, resistance to change, and limited knowledge-sharing practices remain major challenges. The study concludes that Knowledge Management is a strategic mechanism for developing human capital and ensuring sustainable digital transformation in the banking sector. Keywords: Digital transformation, Human resource development, Knowledge management, Learning organization, Organizational learning
