Abstract

Oyster mushrooms are known as one of the food products with high economic value, easy to cultivate, and have significant health benefits. Karang Taruna in Codo Village as a youth organization provides great opportunities for developing village potential. Improving skills in oyster mushroom harvesting techniques is expected to provide new insights for Karang Taruna members in developing their businesses. The training implementation method is carried out using a theoretical approach. To ensure participant understanding, the training ended with an evaluation and feedback session. The training was conducted at the Codo Village Meeting Hall in July 2013. Participants were 18 members of Karang Taruna and Codo village officials. This training received a positive response from Karang Taruna members and the Codo Village community. They felt helped by this training because they could gain new skills that were useful in improving the village economy.

Abstract

Training on the Completeness and Function of First Aid Medicines for UKS administrator students at SDN Codo 02, Codo Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency, was held by the State University of Malang KKN Team with the aim of increasing the understanding and skills of UKS administrators in handling health emergencies in the school environment . This activity aims to introduce the importance of having complete medicines in a first aid kit, as well as teaching how to use medicines and first aid equipment correctly in emergency situations. The methods applied in this training include lectures, demonstrations, direct practice, and group discussions. Lectures are used to provide a basic understanding of the types of medicines that should be in the first aid kit and their functions. Then, a demonstration was carried out to show how to use first aid equipment and medicines. Participants are also given the opportunity to practice first aid for minor injuries through direct practice guided by the KKN team. Group discussions were held to encourage participants to think critically and work together in dealing with emergency situations. Through this training, UKS administrators are expected to be more prepared and confident in dealing with emergency conditions that may occur at school, such as accidents or minor health problems. This activity also aims to increase awareness of the importance of providing complete medication and its correct use, so as to minimize health risks and create a safe and healthy school environment. This training is expected to have a positive impact on UKS administrators and students at SDN Codo 02.

Abstract

Pagersari Village, located in Ngantang District, Malang Regency, East Java, is a hidden gem that offers natural beauty and rich economic potential. The diversity of agricultural and livestock products serves as the main source of income for the local community. The Community Service Program (PMT) conducted at SDN 2 Pagersari aims to enhance the quality of education and environmental awareness through various activities. One of the main activities is training in the use of the Canva application for creating educational posters, including posters on the 5 steps of proper handwashing and anti-bullying. Additionally, students also conduct training in creating Pop-Up Book learning media that explains the human body interactively. These activities not only improve graphic design skills and creativity among students but also provide a better understanding of health and hygiene. The students also participate in ecoprint training, which teaches natural fabric dyeing techniques using environmentally friendly materials, thereby raising awareness of the importance of environmental preservation. Through this program, it is hoped that students can develop a love for learning and an awareness of the importance of maintaining cleanliness while understanding health concepts in an enjoyable way. The interaction between students and the Pagersari community strengthens social bonds and benefits both parties. Thus, the PMT at SDN 2 Pagersari positively contributes to the development of local education and economy, as well as environmental preservation.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of the PMT (Integrated Internship Program) Eco print program at SDN 4 Sidodadi, Ngantang District, Malang Regency. The purpose of this program is to increase students' environmental awareness through the introduction of eco print techniques on fabric media as a form of creativity based on the utilization of natural materials. This program also aims to introduce environmentally friendly concepts from an early age and hone students' skills in creating artworks. Through a direct practice approach, it is expected that students can understand the importance of environmental conservation and foster a love for nature.

Abstract

The training activity of making key chains from feather wire was carried out at MIS Hidayatul Muhajirin as a form of contribution in improving fine motor skills and creativity of fourth grade students. Based on the initial observation, it is known that students have not been much involved in creative activities based on hand skills, so efforts are needed to provide appropriate stimulation. The main problem identified was the limited opportunities for students to develop creativity and skills through fun hands-on activities. This training was carried out through several stages, namely identification of needs, activity planning, counseling on tools and materials, exposure to keychain making, and practical sessions accompanied by facilitators. The results of the activity showed that the students participated in the training with enthusiasm and were able to produce diverse and creative works. Analysis of the results showed an increase in students' skills in technical and attitudinal aspects, such as independence, accuracy, cooperation, and self-confidence. The implementation of this activity also provides space for students to express ideas freely and fun. With documentation of the work as a form of evaluation, this training is expected to be a model of educational activities that are applicable and able to enrich the learning process at the SD / MI level. In addition, this activity encourages students' active involvement in the learning process that not only focuses on cognitive aspects, but also affective and psychomotor aspects. Thus, this training makes a significant contribution to students' character building and creates an inclusive, creative and fun learning environment for all learners.

Abstract

The implementation of guidance and counseling in elementary schools is the task of the class teacher. This is related to the rare availability of BK teachers or special counselors on duty in elementary schools. In fact, based on the results of observations during the implementation of the research in June-July 2022 at SD Negeri 1 Kekeri, teachers have not implemented BK services optimally. Therefore, the PGSD FKIP Universitas Mataram service team carried out community service with the title "Workshop on the Urgency of Utilizing Innovative Learning Media in Guidance and Counseling in Elementary Schools". To achieve the objectives of counseling and training as implied in the title of this community service, several methods are used, namely lectures, questions and answers or discussions and mentoring. After Community Service. After community service is completed, it is required to meet the targets, namely: (1) mandatory output in the form of one scientific paper in the form of an article in the interactive journal JIP FKIP UNRAM; and (2) additional output in the form of a statement letter on the use of IPTEK by Partners. This workshop was held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 with an interactive and practical approach. Participants were not only given theoretical materials, but also involved in discussions, simulations, and direct practice using learning media. During the workshop, some of the main materials discussed included: basic concepts of guidance and counseling at the elementary school level, the importance of utilizing innovative learning media, types of media that can be used in guidance and counseling, and ways to utilize these media effectively. The results of the pretest and posttest showed that the implementation of the workshop had a positive impact. Participants experienced an increase in understanding of all the materials presented. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world in 2020 has forced all educational institutions, including the University of Mataram, to quickly adapt to online learning systems. In response to this, the Laboratory of Educational Development and Learning Technology (LPPTP) FKIP, University of Mataram held online mentoring activities aimed at improving lecturers' competence in utilizing the Zoom and Moodle platforms as a means of distance learning. This activity was carried out through several interactive training sessions involving experienced facilitators and attended by all lecturers in the department. The training materials included mastery of Zoom features for synchronous lectures and the use of Moodle as a Learning Management System for managing online classes. The results of the mentoring showed an increase in the technical and pedagogical abilities of lecturers in designing and implementing online learning more effectively and interactively. Evaluation of activities through questionnaires and open discussions indicated that this activity was very useful and relevant to learning needs during the crisis. This activity is also the first step towards a more structured and sustainable digital transformation of education in the FKIP environment of the University of Mataram.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower residents of Ketindan Village, Lawang District, Malang Regency, through the creation of a Family Medicinal Plant Garden (TOGA) as an effort to increase awareness of the importance of utilizing traditional medicinal plants in maintaining family health. This activity was carried out by students of the 2015 Malang State University Community Service Program (KKN) with a participatory and educational approach. The implementation method includes initial observation, socialization, TOGA cultivation training, and the construction of a demonstration garden on strategic land owned by the village. The results of the activity showed an increase in community knowledge of the benefits of medicinal plants and the emergence of community initiatives to develop TOGA independently in their yards. The TOGA Garden is not only a means of providing medicinal plants, but also a space for education and social interaction for residents. This program proves that interventions based on local potential and active community participation can encourage sustainable social change at the village level.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve teachers' ability to utilize technology as an innovative learning medium through training in the use of PowerPoint and iSpring. The target of this activity is teachers at SDN Pengengat, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, who have so far predominantly used conventional methods in the teaching and learning process. The method of implementing the activity is carried out in a participatory manner and is based on direct practice, including basic introduction sessions, media creation practices, and ongoing mentoring. The results of the activity show a significant increase in teachers' understanding and skills in creating interactive teaching media. Teachers are able to integrate various multimedia features, such as animation, audio, video, and interactive quizzes into learning materials. In addition to improving technical skills, there is also a positive change in attitude towards the use of technology in learning. Although there are still obstacles such as limited devices and networks, this activity proves that appropriate training can encourage learning innovation at the elementary school level. This activity is a form of real contribution from Kampus Mengajar students in supporting sustainable educational transformation in the region.

Abstract

Purworejo Village in Malang Regency has great potential in local arts and culture, supported by strong traditions and a high spirit of community cooperation. At SD 2 Purworejo, students show a strong interest in the arts, although access to structured training is still limited. Therefore, an arts training program was held in preparation for the National Student Art Festival and Competition (FLS2N) to develop students’ creativity and self-confidence. This program involved first- to fourth-grade students who were interested in the arts, focusing on Nusantara Dance, Pantomime, Painting, and Storytelling. The training was conducted through intensive guidance and mentoring by students of the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Program at Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University (UNITRI) through the Internship and Applied Program (PMT). Throughout the sessions, students were encouraged to explore creativity and develop continuous self-expression. The results showed significant improvement in creativity and self-confidence, especially in expressing themselves and performing in public. With a participatory approach and a supportive atmosphere, the program succeeded in creating an enjoyable and productive learning environment while optimizing students’ artistic potential.
