Jurnal Teknologi Informasi untuk Masyarakat selanjutnya disebut Jurnal Teknokrat dengan e-ISSN: 3030-8151 adalah Open Journal System (OJS) yang dikelola oleh Fakultas Teknik Universitas Hamzanwadi. Abstract

This community service activity aims to assist Posyandu cadres in Presak Sakra Village in developing and utilizing an automatic height measurement system based on an ultrasonic sensor. The background of this program is the predominant use of manual measuring tools, which is less efficient, prone to reading errors, and often causes long queues when many toddlers are being served. The developed system employs an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, an Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller, and a 16x2 LCD to display measurement results in real time, making the device more practical and easier to operate for Posyandu cadres. The implementation method includes hardware and software design, laboratory testing of the device, implementation at the Posyandu, training for cadres, and evaluation of system effectiveness in routine health services. Test results indicate that the device can measure body height with a deviation of 0 to 1 cm from the actual height, which is still acceptable for basic health services. In addition to improving efficiency and accuracy, this activity strengthens the role of higher education institutions in transferring appropriate technology and is expected to be replicated in other Posyandu to support improved quality of community health services.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital information and communication technology has brought positive and negative impacts, as well as new challenges for adolescents, especially in the use of social media. One problem that often arises is cyberbullying, which can negatively impact students' mental and social health. Cyberbullying is bullying carried out through social media or digital media, which can disrupt the victim's mental health. To reduce this incident, we conducted cyberbullying prevention education at the junior high school level. This activity aims to provide education on cyberbullying prevention through the use of digital technology to students of SMPN 1 Sembalun. The implementation method included interactive socialization and discussions on the safe and responsible use of social media. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' knowledge and awareness of the dangers and ways to prevent cyberbullying on social media. In addition, students were able to practice digital ethics in their daily online interactions. This activity is expected to be the first step in establishing a positive digital literacy culture in the school environment and can prove that digital technology-based education is effective in improving digital literacy and shaping students' positive character in the digital era.

Abstract

Technological progress has undeniably made it easier for students to access information and complete their daily tasks. However, it has also introduced a set of emerging challenges, including the rapid spread of online gambling, misinformation, and a noticeable decline in digital manners among young users. Responding to these concerns, the Internet Sehat socialization program was initiated at MA NWDI Mujahidin Pringgasela. The program aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of safe, polite, and responsible internet use while emphasizing the serious legal consequences associated with online gambling. An educative–informative model was adopted because it aligns well with the characteristics of the students, the needs of the partner institution, and the nature of the material presented. This model integrates educational explanation with clear, direct, and contextually relevant information. Given that senior high school students are at a cognitive stage where they benefit most from concrete examples, real-life cases, and two-way interaction, this approach helps ensure that the material is easy to understand.. The results of the activity were highly encouraging. The satisfaction level among the 50 participating students reached 87.8%, with most responses falling into the “very satisfied” and “satisfied” categories. Observations during the session further indicated increased enthusiasm and improved comprehension regarding the dangers of online gambling and the importance of practicing safer and more ethical online behavior. Equally important, the program helped strengthen cooperation between the school, the university team, the police, and the village administration, reinforcing their shared commitment to protecting students from various digital threats.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on the learning process, including in Graphic Design subjects at the Vocational High School (SMK) level. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of utilizing AI as a digital-based learning medium that can improve creativity, technical skills, and design process efficiency in students. The research method used is a systematic literature review by reviewing relevant research from 2021–2025, including studies on the integration of AI in design education, the use of generative AI, its impact on creativity, and the adoption of educational technology in vocational environments. The results of the study indicate that the use of AI such as generative design tools, AI image generation, and adaptive learning platforms significantly improves visual exploration skills, accelerates the ideation process, and helps students understand basic design principles more interactively. However, the study also identified several challenges, such as the potential for design fixation, dependence on technology, issues of work authenticity, and limited teacher competency in operating AI-based devices. Overall, the use of AI in Graphic Design learning at vocational high schools has made a positive contribution to the quality of learning and students' readiness to face the digital-based creative industry. This study found that students' graphic design skills increased by 20.37%, which was carried out using pre-testing and an ethical AI usage policy to ensure that this technology can be utilized optimally and sustainably in education.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to assist Karang Baru Timur Village in developing a website-based Community Complaint Information System as a solution to improve the quality of public services and enhance transparency in village governance. The main problem faced by the village was that the complaint submission process was previously conducted manually, unstructured, and difficult to track. The proposed solution involved designing and implementing a website-based complaint information system that enables centralized, validated, and traceable documentation of community reports. Through the stages of needs observation, system design, implementation, and training, a website was developed to facilitate community complaint submission and provide report management features for village administrators. The system is also equipped with a National Identification Number (NIK) management feature to ensure the validity of complainant data. The testing results showed that all main system functions operated properly according to the defined scenarios, including complaint submission, data validation, report processing, and status tracking. The impact of this activity is reflected in increased efficiency of village administrative services, improved organization of complaint documentation, and greater ease and participation of the community in submitting complaints in a transparent and structured manner. Therefore, this system has the potential to serve as a long-term solution for promoting modern, responsive, and transparent public services at the village level.

Abstract

The increasing issue of global climate change and population growth also pose new challenges in meeting the food needs of the community. Seasonal anomalies and unpredictable weather also disrupt community planting patterns, leading to increases in food commodity prices. One good practice in improving community food security is to implement a fish and vegetable cultivation system often referred to as aquaponics. Considering the size of the area and the optimization of green open spaces, the aquaponics system is considered to be an alternative for utilizing unused yards. The aquaponics training in Tetebatu Village not only focused on knowledge transfer, but also encouraged a transformation in the community's perspective on modern, environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The training program is divided into three stages: socialization and counseling, technical training, and continuous mentoring. During the mentoring process, several factors are considered influential in maintaining and developing this aquaponics system, including the need for collaboration and innovation with partners and the involvement of all parties, such as the youth community in the digital ecosystem, to support the social and economic sustainability of the program. In addition to being environmentally friendly, aquaponics technology can also strengthen the principles of the circular economy in communities. The successful implementation of aquaponics technology in Tetebatu Village, which is a low-cost, high- impact initiative, is clear evidence that technological transformation and innovation based on local communities can be a concrete step towards sustainable development.

Abstract

The integration of technology in education, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Computing, is crucial in facing the Society 5.0 era. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of AI and cloud technology training and its impact on students' understanding and perception. The research method utilized a quantitative descriptive approach through pre-implementation and post-implementation questionnaires distributed to 35 respondents, predominantly aged 16-18 years. Initial survey results indicated that while 77.1% of students had heard of AI, there was a gap in understanding, with 34.3% of respondents feeling they had poor or no understanding at all. Furthermore, cloud technology usage remained low, with 48.6% of students stating they had never used it. Following the training implementation, evaluation showed significant improvement, where 77.1% of respondents felt they understood the utilization of AI and cloud technology better. Participant satisfaction was high, with 85.8% rating the material as useful to very useful. The primary challenge identified was a lack of foundational understanding (65.7%). Overall, the program successfully enhanced participants' digital literacy, with 77.1% of students hoping that these technologies will improve the quality of learning in the future.

Abstract

The increasingly advanced digital era and the development of technology and information through WhatsApp Groups (WAG) currently provide convenience in communicating and quickly obtaining information, but at the same time also quickly in the misuse of information dissemination. Therefore, this wise educational activity in the use of technology and information through WhatsApp Groups (WAG) aims to increase digital literacy and awareness of healthy social media for members of the Embung Kandong Village Youth Organization. The methods used include delivering materials, interactive discussions, and providing case examples related to digital ethics, data security, and preventing the spread of false information. The results of the activity show that members of the Youth Organization have increased their understanding of the responsible use of social media, including the ability to sort information, maintain privacy, and communicate ethically in the digital space. Education through WAG has proven effective as a flexible, easily accessible learning tool and is able to encourage active participation of participants. Thus, this activity contributes to forming wiser and more productive digital behavior among village youth so that they are wiser in using social media.

Abstract

The utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education continues to expand, including through platforms such as Gamma AI, which supports automatic, structured, and time-efficient digital presentation creation. This activity aims to improve technological literacy among students of SMK Negeri 1 Arosbaya through training on the use of Gamma AI as a supporting tool for developing digital presentations. The method consists of needs analysis, training, hands-on practice, evaluation, and reflection. A total of 25 students from the Computer and Network Engineering program participated in this activity. The results indicate an improvement in students’ ability to create more structured, engaging, and informative presentations compared to their previous work prior to training. Based on the questionnaire responses, 87% of students reported that Gamma AI significantly helped accelerate the presentation-making process, while 13% required additional adaptation time. These findings demonstrate that Gamma AI is effective as a learning support tool and can enhance students' creativity and technological literacy skills. Therefore, the implementation of Gamma AI serves as an innovative solution to support students in producing high-quality digital content and encourage technology-based learning habits in schools.

Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is increasingly rapid and has been widely applied in various fields ranging from industry, health, agriculture to education. However, the understanding of vocational middle level students regarding IoT concepts and implementations is still limited, especially in the application of simple hardware such as ESP32. This condition is a challenge as well as an opportunity to provide basic IoT introduction and training so that students can improve their technological competence according to the needs of the digital era. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to provide a basic understanding of the concept of IoT and train SMK NU Tasikmalaya students in using the ESP32 Microcontroller for simple projects. Through this training, it is hoped that students will be able to get to know IoT hardware, understand data communication flows and be able to build basic applications such as real-time sensor monitoring. The method of implementing PkM is carried out through a short workshop approach consisting of delivering basic IoT concept materials, introduction to ESP32 devices and direct practice of making simple IoT projects. This training is carried out with demonstration methods and independent practice so that students can more easily understand and be able to apply the knowledge obtained. This activity is expected to improve students' digital literacy and basic skills in the field of IoT so that it can be a provision to develop competencies in the world of work and continue higher education.
