Abstract

Recently, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) has high mortality in the world. In severe TBI, secondary brain injury can occur. ElectrSolyte disorders are the most common in secondary brain insult especially sodium disorders. It remains unclear whether hyponatremia or hypernatremia can cause worse clinical outcome in TBI patients. This study aimed to determine association between serum sodium level with clinical outcome in severe TBI patients at RSUD Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda. A cross sectional analytical study by taking samples to the patients with diagnosed severe TBI (GCS ≤ 8) which were hospitalized at RSUD Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda in the period of January-December 2018 that complied inclusion and exclusion criteria. Research variables are sodium serum level and clinical outcome that was assessed by structured interviews for Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS). The relationship between variables was done using the Fisher's Exact test. A total of 41 severe TBI patients were administered. The characteristics of the sample were the most patients in 20s-40s (46.3%), patients were dominated by male (82.9%) and the most common CT scan characteristic were epidural hematoma (29.3%). The most of patients showed normonatremia in 25 patients (61%), 9 patients (22%) had hypernatremia and 7 patients (17.1%) had hyponatremia. The most clinical outcome on severe TBI patients were worse outcome with 70.7% while good outcome with 29.3%. Statistical result showed there’s no association between serum sodium level (hyponatremia and hypernatremia) with clinical outcome in severe TBI patients with p values, 1.000 and 0.225, respectively. There’s no association between serum sodium level with clinical outcome in severe TBI patients.

Abstract

Measuring the quality dimensions of health service is essential and should be done along with patient satisfaction surveys. The level of patient satisfaction with hospital health services may use the five-dimensional Service Quality (ServQual) method, that is, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, concern and tangible form. The study was conducted to determine the level of outpatient satisfaction with the quality of services provided by The Cilandak Marinir Hospital Pharmacy Installation. The research design is Observational by survey methods, conducted on JKN outpatients, with a total sample of 106 respondents. Inclusion criteria; patients who redeem a prescription at a hospital pharmacy installation at least 2 times; patients who are willing to fill out the questionnaire, sign the questionnaire, and approve the informed consent; patients aged ≥ 15 years. Exclusion criteria are patients who are hospital employees; HIV / AIDS patients. This study was also complemented with data collection permits from the hospital and ethical approval from the ethics research committee of the Universitas Pembangunan Veteran Jakarta. The instrument used is in the form of a questionnaire to measure patient satisfaction about pharmacy services at the pharmacy. The results of the validity test of 0.383-0.950 (components of expectations) and 0.362-0.928 (components of performance) are declared valid. The reliability test results are 0.954-0.961 (expectation component) and 0.951-0.960 (performance component); these results indicate that the questionnaire can be used because all questions are reliable (> 0.60 Cronbach Alpha scores). Data analysis uses the Service Quality method (Service Quality score = Performance - Expectation). A positive score indicates that customer expectations are met so that services on specific dimensions can be perceived as high quality and vice versa. Ideally, the value of the gap between expectations and perceptions is zero. ServQual analysis results based on the gap showed that the most significant value of the gap in the dimensions of reliability -0.18, responsiveness (responsiveness) -0.12, awareness (empathy) -0.08, assurance -0, 07, and tangible form (tangible) -0.03. Based on these results, It can be concluded that pharmaceutical services still need improvement because they still have a negative gap value for the five dimensions.

Abstract

Foot odor is a common body odor problem. The smell of feet makes oneself and people around uncomfortable, the smell of feet can be eliminated by washing the foot using soap, using a tabun powder. However, the foot wash using soap or powder is assessed less practical. Footsanitizer Spray is a new innovation of foot odor relievers that are practical and efficient use. Stirring process will affect product quality especially particle size distribution. So in this study aims to assess the effect of speed and time stirring of physical characteristics of the preparation of the foot sanitizer spray. In this research has been done variation of speed and stirring time, variation of stirring speed is done by varying the stirring speed at 300 rpm, 500 rpm and 700 rpm. Variation in stirring time is done by varying the stirring time for 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours. From the results of this research can be concluded that coffee beans extract and ginger rhizome can be used as a spray footsanitizer. And the greater the speed of the mixing form of the Footsanitizer spray the more cloudy and the viscosity value and type weight is getting bigger. The longer the stirring also leads to greater viscosity and density values.
