Abstract

To create quality education in the future, education in Indonesia should pay more attention to the quality of education. For example, prioritizing teacher abilities, a good educational curriculum, then thinking about creating outstanding students. The objectives of this research are: 1) To describe the increase in student learning achievement in learning changes in electrical energy through the Demonstration and Experiment Method, 2) To find out how complete the students' learning is in learning changes in electrical energy after using the Demonstration and Experiment Method. This research uses demonstration and experimental methods with the Kemmis and Taggart model of classroom action research (PTK) approach which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The research was conducted at SDN 1 Bayung Lencir on 20-28 October 2024, involving 38 students (11 boys and 9 girls). Data is collected through observation, learning results tests, and documentation, then analyzed using observation techniques, evaluation of test results, and documentation. From the results of this research, it was found that student learning achievement increased from each cycle, namely cycle I 50%, and cycle II 100%. This research shows that the application of the Demonstration and Experiment Method effectively increases student learning achievement in learning about changes in electrical energy. The results show an increase in student learning completeness from 50% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II. This proves that this method is able to help students understand concepts better through direct and interactive experience. The implications of this research are good for teachers, students and schools as well as other researchers.

Abstract

This research aims to review the influence of Classroom Action Research (PTK) on student learning outcomes at elementary school (SD) level. The method used in this research is a literature review study, by collecting and analyzing scientific articles related to the implementation of PTK in elementary schools. The data collection technique used is analysis, which will later function to collect relevant data and sources in this research. The type of data used is qualitative, chosen because the method applied is a literature study. From analysis of various sources, it was found that the implementation of CAR had a significant impact in improving student learning outcomes. This method allows teachers to identify learning problems, plan improvements, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies implemented on an ongoing basis. This study combines six literature studies with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to examine the influence of the Card Sort, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Jigsaw, Course Review Horay, and Guided Discovery learning methods on achieving learning outcomes. The results of the analysis show that interactive and collaborative methods, such as Card Sort, Jigsaw, and PBL, are able to increase student participation, understanding, and learning motivation. Meanwhile, the influence of social media on learning outcomes emphasizes the important role of parents and teachers in guiding the use of social media to remain productive. Overall, active and collaborative learning methods and improvements to improve the quality of learning at the basic level.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the visual-spatial intelligence of early childhood through building block play. Visual-spatial intelligence refers to the ability to understand, process, and think visually, including recognizing shapes, sizes, colors, and the capability to create and comprehend visual information in two or three dimensions. The research method employed is a literature review, analyzing relevant books and journal articles. The findings indicate that building block play stimulates children’s creativity, imagination, and logical thinking skills. This activity allows children to learn essential concepts such as shapes, sizes, patterns, and directions, significantly supporting the development of their visual-spatial abilities. Additionally, the play enhances children’s social, emotional, and collaborative skills through group interactions. Using a systematic approach involving stages such as introduction, observation, construction, creative challenges, and evaluation, building block play proves to be an enjoyable and effective educational tool for early childhood. This study recommends that educators and parents integrate building block play into daily learning activities as an effective means to support the development of visual-spatial intelligence, creativity, and critical thinking skills in young children. Appropriate support from the surrounding environment will maximize children’s learning potential, enabling them to grow and develop optimally.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of digital interactive media in improving mathematics learning outcomes in elementary schools. The method employed is qualitative research, with data collection techniques involving a literature review of 15 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2014 and 2024. The data is analyzed in depth to identify patterns, themes, or relationships relevant to the research topic. Data collection techniques include content analysis of articles related to the use of interactive digital media in mathematics learning. The instrument used in this study is an analysis form designed to evaluate the quality and impact of interactive media in the context of mathematics education. The analysis results indicate that the use of digital interactive media, such as educational applications and learning videos, can significantly enhance students' motivation and understanding of mathematical concepts. The use of appropriate media not only addresses students' negative perceptions of mathematics but also increases engagement and provides a more enjoyable learning experience. These findings highlight the importance of integrating technology into mathematics education to create a more effective and interactive learning process, which positively impacts students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in shaping the character and social behavior of students, especially in elementary schools. The formation of students' sociality does not only occur through academic teaching, but also through social interactions at school, which involve relationships with peers, teachers, and the school environment as a whole. This article aims to analyze the role of education in the formation of students' sociality in elementary schools using the literature study method. This study examines various literature related to social education, school environment, and social interactions that support the development of students' character. The results of the study indicate that social education in schools has a significant role in developing students' social skills, such as empathy, cooperation, and responsibility. In addition, external factors such as support from family and community also contribute to the formation of students' sociality. The conclusion of this study confirms that education is not only aimed at improving students' academic abilities, but also at shaping students into individuals who are able to interact positively in society. The implication of this study is the need for close cooperation between schools, families, and communities to create an educational environment that supports the formation of students' sociality holistically, so that students can adapt well in diverse social environments.

Abstract

This study reviews the application of various innovative learning models in the context of 21st century education in Indonesia, with a focus on the application of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and other cooperative learning methods. This study refers to the latest research (2020-2024) which examines the effectiveness of implementing TPACK in the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program, Classroom Action Research (PTK) training oriented towards 21st century learning, as well as the use of creative digital learning media. like a webtoon comic. The method used in this research is a literature review study, by collecting and analyzing scientific articles related to the implementation of PTK in elementary schools. The data collection technique used is analysis, which will later function to collect relevant data and sources in this research. The type of data used is qualitative, chosen because the method applied is a literature study. The results of this study show that the application of TPACK and other innovative learning methods has a positive impact in increasing teacher competence, student interest and involvement, as well as student learning outcomes. Technology-based learning models such as TPACK and Problem Based Learning (PBL) strategies combined with the Talking Stick method, have been proven to be able to improve students' critical thinking skills and activity in learning. This study concludes that collaboration between technology and pedagogy in learning has an important role in building an education system that is responsive to the demands and challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the learning outcomes of the make a match type cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes on temperature and heat material in class V semester II of SD Eka Tjipta Mandang Seruyan. This research is classroom action research (PTK) with the research subjects being class V students at SD Eka Tjipta. Data collection techniques through science learning tests. The test consists of 10 multiple choice questions and 5 essay questions. Analysis is obtained through observation and tests. Based on the results of observations, it shows that out of 41 students, 24 students were still below the KKM in Class V SD Eka Tjipta Mandang Seruyan, 24 students were below the KKM with a class average score of 59.27. The results of the research show that the make a match type cooperative learning model is effective in improving cycle 1 science learning outcomes, showing a student learning completion level of 68% with an average score of 70.61. In cycle 2, the level of completeness of student learning outcomes was 95% with an average score of 87.88. This research proves that the application of the make a match type cooperative learning model can improve science learning outcomes in class V at SD II Eka Tjipta Mandang Seruyan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in increasing student participation, as viewed from the pedagogical competence of teachers. Pedagogical competence is an essential element that determines the effectiveness of learning, including in the implementation of PBL, which requires the teacher’s ability to design, manage, and evaluate problem-based learning processes. This study uses a library research approach, referring to various academic literature such as books, scholarly journals, and relevant dissertations. Data were collected from various sources discussing learning strategies, research methodologies, and the implementation of PBL in the educational context. Data analysis was conducted using a content analysis approach, through the process of identifying patterns, themes, and relationships in the analyzed literature. The research findings indicate that good pedagogical competence allows teachers to create a collaborative learning environment, motivate students to think critically, and enhance their involvement in the learning process. Furthermore, effective implementation of PBL requires teachers’ skills in guiding students to solve problems independently, so that active student participation can be realized. This study concludes that improving teachers' pedagogical competence, especially in the context of PBL, has significant implications for the success of learning based on active participation. Therefore, teacher professional development through training and pedagogical competence development programs is an essential step to support the optimal implementation of PBL. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing strategies to improve the quality of education through strengthening teachers' pedagogical competence.

Abstract

The implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in second-grade elementary classrooms at MI Al Munawwar focuses on enhancing students' understanding of the topic Keluargaku Unik (My Unique Family). This learning approach aims to improve students' comprehension of descriptive texts, sentence construction, and self-expression through active and innovative participation. The research involved two classes, with one employing PBL and the other using traditional teaching methods. Conducted over two weeks, the study assessed students' understanding through pretests, posttests, and classroom observations. The results revealed that PBL significantly improved students' comprehension and engagement compared to traditional methods, with a noticeable increase in their ability to describe family uniqueness and construct coherent sentences. The students' positive responses and active participation demonstrate PBL's effectiveness in fostering critical thinking and meaningful learning experiences. This activity not only promotes academic achievement but also encourages collaborative and reflective learning, essential for holistic development.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media in the form of a board game called "PACAROLI" to improve the early reading skills of first grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Aimas, Sorong Regency. This study uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The results of the study indicate that the "PACAROLI" board game media is valid, practical, and effective to be used as a learning media. The validity of the media is proven by the average score from the experts of 96%. Practicality is measured through student responses, with more than 70% of students giving positive responses. The effectiveness of the media is shown through the results of the pre-test and post-test which showed a significant increase (p <0.05). Thus, the "PACAROLI" media can be an innovative solution in improving the reading skills of first grade students. The researcher provides suggestions to several parties in the world of education. For students who often do playing activities, it is expected that they can increase their knowledge through learning activities while playing. For teachers, so that they can sort and utilize learning media that are in accordance with student characteristics and can foster student interest in learning. For the principal, to be able to consider the use of learning media that are in accordance with the characteristics of students and the demands of today's education. For further researchers, it is expected to be able to develop products from this research that are in accordance with the development of the times, and consider the feasibility, effectiveness, and practicality of the media for further research.
