Abstract

Traditional Javanese drama often portrays stories of political polemics and patriarchal leadership within the kingdom. Javanese culture typically places women in the shadow of men, relegating them to roles such as supporters who fulfill traditional functions of serving, adorning, and cooking. Traditional Javanese drama, including ketoprak, frequently narrates these themes. Ketoprak Gaul, through its play Kalinyamat as a primary source, positions women as central figures, necessitating examination to uncover codes of resistance against patriarchal constraints within Javanese cultural contexts. Through John Fiske's semiotic analysis, employing qualitative approaches and descriptive methods with data collection via observation and note-taking techniques, it is revealed that there are feminist values of (1) determined women, (2) confident women, (3) courageous women, and (4) strong women. Thus, the struggle for gender equality among women must begin with a desire, reinforced by conviction, and fortified with courage as a source of strength.

Using descriptive qualitative method and the theoretical approach of Alfred Scutz and Max Webber's social action, the following answers were obtained: First, Because of the motive for choosing a role as a transgender man is motivated by: Wanting to take part in the carnival event in Nganjuk in a different way; Simplicity and cost-effectiveness. Second, the Motive Inorder to carnival participants want to convey a message: Restoring carnival as a medium for people's entertainment; The courage to express in public as long as it does not interfere with existing norms; and Not judging people by their external appearance alone. The two findings of this research reinforce Webber's social action theory, that every action taken is deliberate and has an important meaning for the perpetrator.

The relationship between the media and political actors will be seen from the intensity of the coverage, the closeness that has the potential to give birth to exclusivity, the availability of more opportunities for media coverage. This is difficult to ignore in the era of democratic parties. Political actors and the media may have a special relationship that can influence the news. As we know, MetroTV and Surya Paloh are two inseparable things. Abstract

This study examines the community's reliance on mangrove forests, particularly through the establishment of charcoal kiln businesses as a primary livelihood in Batu Ampar Village, following the decline of sawmill operations. The production of charcoal requires large quantities of mangrove wood, leading to significant environmental impacts, including the reduction of mangrove forests, increased carbon emissions, and deteriorating public health. In response to these challenges, social movements among mangrove honey farming groups have emerged, focusing on ecological revitalization efforts. This research aims to explore the role of social movement strengthening through mentoring by PKM-KI students from the Sharia Economics Master's program, specifically in the development of digital platform-based marketing strategies for mangrove honey businesses. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes field data to evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing in promoting mangrove honey as an alternative livelihood. The results highlight the potential of digital platforms in expanding the market for local mangrove honey products, offering a sustainable livelihood for the community while supporting environmental conservation.
