The transfer of land rights in Indonesia is governed by various positive laws currently in force. This research aims to analyze the law of online buying and selling during Friday sermons from the perspective of the Syafi'i School of Islamic jurisprudence. The focus is on transactions conducted through various online platforms or direct orders via private channels during Friday worship. Case studies were conducted in several mosques in the Medan Maimun District of Medan City, where many congregants were observed engaging in online transactions, thereby ignoring the sermon. The study employs a conceptual approach combined with living case studies to determine whether the legal ruling for online transactions during Friday sermons aligns with those conducted offline. Data were collected through observations and interviews with congregants who participated in online transactions during the sermons. The findings indicate that while online transactions conducted during Friday sermons are legally valid according to the Syafi'i School, they are considered Makruh (undesirable). This ruling applies because these actions distract individuals from the obligatory act of listening to the Friday sermon. Consequently, participants who engage in such transactions are deemed sinful for neglecting the sermon, as the primary obligation during this time is to pay attention to the sermon delivered by the Imam. The study highlights the need for greater awareness and adherence to religious obligations during Friday worship to maintain the sanctity and purpose of the sermon.

This research aims to analyze the representation of gender roles in the character "Jeng Yah" from the Kretek Girl film series, focusing on the interplay of reality, representation, and ideology. The study responds to the significant shifts brought about by the modern feminist movement, which has motivated many women to engage in feminist activism and pursue higher education. Employing John Fiske's semiotic analysis, this qualitative research examines three dimensions: reality, representation, and ideology, as portrayed in the Kretek Girl series. The analysis of the first episode yields three primary findings: (1) At the reality level, the film employs various codes—appearance, movement, expression, conversation, and behavior—to construct gender roles. (2) At the representation level, the film utilizes camera work, lighting, and music to visually and aurally reinforce the narrative's meanings. (3) At the ideological level, the character Jeng Yah embodies feminist ideals as she seeks personal liberation. The study concludes that the use of signs and codes in the film serves to convey feminist ideologies, with visual and narrative elements contributing significantly to this ideological expression. Ultimately, the research suggests that the film encourages women to comprehend and incorporate feminist principles into their everyday lives.

This study aims to examine the challenges faced by Islamic dawah in a contemporary context, particularly in responding to arguments that attempt to undermine fundamental Islamic teachings, including concepts of divinity and prophethood. This issue aligns with the challenges encountered by Prophet Muhammad during his mission in Medina, especially in addressing the arguments presented by the Jewish community. Understanding how Allah and Prophet Muhammad provided counterarguments and refutations against these claims can offer valuable guidance for contemporary dawah efforts. The methodology employed in this research is a literature review with a descriptive analysis approach. The data sources consist of relevant verses from the Qur'an and historical accounts that document the rebuttals made against the Jews. This study analyzes the structure of the arguments utilized by Allah and Prophet Muhammad, applying the theory of refutational argumentation along with various methods of argument rejection. The findings reveal that Allah and Prophet Muhammad effectively countered the arguments posed by the Jews by providing logical evidence and addressing ad hominem attacks directed at the Prophet and the Muslim community. They employed parallel reasoning to reverse the accusations made against them, as well as using negative labeling as a response to the ad hominem critiques aimed at the Muslim community. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for facing the challenges of dawah in the present day.

This study aims to explain how Walisongo implemented a culturally grounded communication strategy in delivering Islamic teachings to the pre-Islamic Javanese society. Employing a literature review method, the study examines the socio-cultural context of pre-Islamic Javanese society and the forms of da’wah communication applied by Walisongo. The data gathered from various literature sources were analyzed through an intercultural communication approach, focusing on the interactions between groups with distinct cultural backgrounds. The analysis centers on how Walisongo adapted their da’wah messages to align with local cultural practices, thereby avoiding cultural resistance. The findings of this study reveal that Walisongo adopted a communication model that was highly adaptive to Javanese cultural norms. In terms of the communicator's profile, Walisongo demonstrated an understanding of and conformity to local social norms. Meanwhile, in the aspect of verbal messaging, they employed language and symbols familiar to the local community. This process of assimilation facilitated the creation of a new cultural entity that harmonized local cultural elements with Islamic values, thereby easing the acceptance of Islam among the Javanese populace. This study highlights the critical role of culturally based da’wah approaches in successful intercultural communication, particularly within the context of Islamic propagation. The communication model used by Walisongo underscores the importance of cultural sensitivity in da’wah, which not only helps to avoid cultural conflicts but also accelerates the acceptance of religion in communities with diverse cultural backgrounds.
