Puji syukur kita panjatkan kehadirat Allah SWT atas lahirnya Jurnal Andragogia Ilmu Pendidikan dan Kajian Islam, yaitu jurnal ilmiah yang berfokus pada kajian ilmu pendidikan dan isu-isu keislaman yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Studi Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Kewirausahaan, Universitas Muhammadiyah, Bandung pada bulan Juli 2024, sebagai peluncuran perdana Volume 1 Nomor 1. Dengan mengusung tema Kajian Pendidikan dan Kajian Islam, artikel-artikel yang diterbitkan akan memiliki ciri khas dan berbagai pandangan tentang kajian pendidikan dan kajian Islam dari berbagai bidang pemikiran seperti kajian pendidikan, agama, kajian Islam, sains dan teknologi. Jurnal ini diterbitkan tiga kali dalam setahun (Juli, November, dan Maret) oleh LP3K Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung. Setiap naskah yang diserahkan akan ditelaah oleh peer-reviewer. Proses peer-review menggunakan double-blind review, artinya identitas peer-reviewer dan penulis dirahasiakan dari reviewer, begitu pula sebaliknya.

Abstract

The digital era has fundamentally transformed the information landscape, creating new challenges for individuals in discerning truth and maintaining mental well-being. This article examines the phenomenon of social media algorithm dominance and its impact on human sanity, which, from an Islamic perspective, can be linked to the concept of ghaflah (heedlessness). Drawing upon the Qur'an and Hadith, alongside an integration of views from Islamic and Western psychology, this article emphasizes the urgency of returning to revelation as the primary guide. In-depth analyses of tabayyun (verification), the role of 'aql (intellect) in the light of revelation, and the distinction between hedonic pleasure (instant gratification) versus eudaimonic well-being (meaningful happiness) are presented to reinforce the argument that revelation is the main source of awareness and spiritual health amidst the tumult of digital information.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the integrative curriculum management between madrasahs and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in MTs NU Patrol Indramayu and Asy-Syarifiyyah Sunan Gunung Jati Islamic Boarding School. The study was motivated by the moral degradation among students and the importance of integrating religious values into the formal curriculum. A qualitative approach with a multisite case study method was employed. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that curriculum planning integrates curriculum objectives and content; implementation aligns program execution and supervision; and evaluation is conducted coordinatively using context, input, process, and product evaluation models. This study concludes that integrative curriculum management can serve as a strategic solution for holistic character education

Abstract

This research examines the concept of Wilayatul Faqih and its role in Iran's supremacy in the Middle East region. Using qualitative research methods through library research, this study analyzes how the Wilayatul Faqih concept has become the ideological foundation for Iran's foreign policy and regional hegemony strategy. The research employs hegemony theory to comprehensively analyze Iran's dominance mechanisms in the Middle East. The findings indicate that Wilayatul Faqih serves not only as a domestic governance system but also as a tool for projecting Iranian influence across the region through proxy groups, religious networks, and strategic alliances. The study concludes that Iran's regional supremacy is built upon the combination of religious legitimacy from Wilayatul Faqih and pragmatic geopolitical strategies.

Abstract

This article examines the role of literacy culture as a psychopedagogical strategy in fostering a growth mindset among students in Aceh. The study adopts a conceptual literature review with a descriptive-analytical approach. Findings indicate that literacy activities such as reflective reading and discussion enhance intrinsic motivation, perseverance, and a growth-oriented mindset. Community-based approaches, such as utilizing coffee shops as literacy spaces, effectively expand the learning ecosystem. This study contributes to the development of contextual and adaptive character education strategies grounded in literacy.

Abstract

This study examines the reformist thought in the science of Arabic rhetoric (balaghah) proposed by Ahmad Asy-Syayib through his seminal work Al-Uslub. Utilizing a library research approach with critical content analysis, the study explores Asy-Syayib’s innovative framework in reinterpreting balaghah, particularly through the incorporation of psychological dimensions, the principle of mu?abaqah (correspondence between meaning and expression), and the intrinsic connection between linguistic style and individual character. His approach bridges the classical rhetorical tradition with modern perspectives, without disregarding the intellectual legacy of the past. The reform is intended to render balaghah more relevant within the realms of contemporary literary and communication studies. Despite facing some criticism, his ideas are regarded as a significant alternative foundation for the development of modern Arabic rhetorical studies.

Abstract

Bahasa adalah alat komunikasi utama manusia yang terus berkembang seiring kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan. Penelitian linguistik mengalami perkembangan pesat, khususnya dalam keterkaitannya dengan bidang lain seperti pendidikan, penerjemahan, dan teknologi. Namun, banyak peneliti pemula masih kesulitan membedakan penelitian linguistik dengan studi bahasa lainnya, serta memahami jenis, ruang lingkup, dan kontribusinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kajian komprehensif tentang konsep penelitian linguistik, jenis-jenisnya—seperti penelitian deskriptif, historis, komparatif, teoretis, dan terapan—serta perbedaan metodologis dan fungsional di antara jenis tersebut. Kajian ini juga membahas bidang penelitian linguistik kontemporer yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan kurikulum, kecerdasan buatan, linguistik komputasional, dan teknologi bahasa. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis berbasis kajian literatur dan analisis kualitatif, penelitian ini menyoroti peran penting penelitian linguistik dalam pendidikan dan pengembangan teknologi bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian linguistik tidak hanya bersifat teoretis, tetapi juga aplikatif dalam pengembangan pembelajaran, pembuatan kamus, perangkat lunak bahasa, dan analisis wacana. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi penelitian linguistik dalam pendidikan guru dan pengembangan kebijakan bahasa untuk mengoptimalkan sinergi antara teori dan praktik.

Abstract

Islamic economic resilience is not solely built upon financial systems and policy instruments, but also upon the strength of Islamic spiritual values that shape economic behavior within the Muslim community. Among these values, sabr (patience) and shukr (gratitude) hold significant conceptual and normative potential in establishing a framework for economic resilience grounded in maqashid sharia. This study aims to explore in depth the meanings of sabr and shukr in Islam and analyze their relevance to the construction of Islamic economic resilience. Employing a qualitative approach through conceptual literature analysis, this study utilizes an integrative literature review method and thematic content analysis of both classical (turath) and contemporary sources, including journal articles. The findings reveal that sabr functions as a psycho-spiritual mechanism to endure economic pressure, while shukr fosters a consciousness of abundance and balanced consumption. Both values are intrinsically linked to the objectives of Islamic law and can be articulated as foundational elements in building holistic, just, and spiritually rooted economic resilience. The principal contribution of this article lies in the development of a new conceptual framework that positions sabr and shukr as strategic components in strengthening Islamic economic systems. This implies that integrating spiritual values into Islamic economic practice offers a viable alternative approach for fostering economic resilience that transcends material dimensions, aligns with Islamic ethical principles, and responds effectively to contemporary economic challenges.

Abstract

The global climate crisis has highlighted the urgency of a transformative pedagogical framework in Islamic Religious Education (IRE/PAI) that goes beyond normative teaching and integrates ecological awareness. This study aims to formulate a model of spiritual ecological literacy as an Islamic education paradigm that integrates values based on taw??d, environmental ethics, and practice-oriented piety to shape an environmentally conscious generation. Using a qualitative approach, this research applies thematic analysis through literature review and in-depth interviews with PAI teachers and boarding school students. Findings indicate that this model effectively fosters an ecologically responsible religious paradigm among students, enhances the integration of environmental values into the PAI curriculum, and transforms pedagogical practices from a dogmatic model to a participatory ecological model. The uniqueness of this study lies in its integration of kauniyah verses, the Islamic principle of ?if? al-bi’ah (environmental preservation), and eco-pedagogical strategies into a systematic and applicable framework for Islamic education. The implications of this model are relevant for curriculum reform, teacher training, and policy-making in Islamic education that is responsive to ecological challenges. This spiritual ecological literacy model significantly contributes to integrating sustainability-based education into the theoretical and practical landscape of contemporary Islamic pedagogy.

Abstract

Hedonistic lifestyles characterized by excessive consumption behavior and orientation to worldly pleasures have become a widespread social phenomenon in the modern era. From an Islamic perspective, this kind of behavior is contrary to the fundamental values that the Qur'an teaches, especially through the prohibition against al-isr?f (excess) and at-tabdz?r (extravagance). This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of hedonistic living through a thematic interpretation approach to the verses of the Qur'an, as well as relate it to the Islamic economic framework. The results of the study show that the Qur'an not only condemns individual consumptive behavior, but also warns of its impact on social structure, economic inequality, and loss of moral responsibility. The hedonistic lifestyle is also considered to be contrary to the principles of al-fal?h and maq??id al-shar?'ah which emphasize a balance between material and spiritual needs. Therefore, the value of simplicity and wise management of wealth is a Qur'anic solution in dealing with the crisis of excessive consumption and encouraging the realization of a fair and sustainable economic order.
