The Indonesian Journal of Primary Education is a scientific periodical published twice a year (June-December) that publishes the results of original research on primary education and primary school teacher education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies within the scope of basic education and primary school teacher education including curriculum, teaching materials, media, methods, and evaluation of primary school learning. Abstract

Development Learning Media KOMPAS (Comic Puberty) based on Al-Quran and As-Sunnah for Elementary School is research beside deficiency learning media that discusses puberty subjects in elementary school. The purpose of this research is to find out student responses about the attractiveness of learning media KOMPAS (Comic Puberty) based on Al-Quran and As-Sunnah by developing learning media of KOMPAS. The research method used (Research and Development) and the development model used the Rowntree development method. This learning media has been developed and has been validated by material experts, linguist experts, and media experts. This Development method has two stage trials, face to face tryouts learners and field tryouts. The result of the language validation test reached 98%, material validation reached 92% and media validation reached 86%. The result of student responses about the attractiveness of learning media was reached 100%. Based on this data, this learning media KOMPAS (Comic Puberty) based on Al-Quran and As-Sunnah is valid and attractive for students in elementary school .

Abstract

Kompleknya permasalahan kehidupan di sekitar anak, termasuk di dalamnya perkembangan IPTEK yang banyak memberikan tekanan dan mempengaruhi perkembangan emosi maupun sosial anak berdampak pada perubahan perilaku ke arah perilaku yang individualistis, tidak peduli, sulit berinteraksi secara sosial (social insulation) sehingga melemahkan rasa sosial dan empatinya. Banyak penelitian memperlihatkan pentingnya keterampilan sosial emosional siswa, bahwa individu yang memiliki keterampilan sosial dan emosional yang bagus siap dalam mengatasi stress dan menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan kehidupan sosial budaya yang serba cepat, dan berani mengambil keputusan. Permasalahannya adalah pembelajaran di sekolah mengarah pada suatu kecenderungan ketercapaian target materi, kurang mendorong siswa untuk peduli, mau bekerjasama sehingga mengeliminir kompetensi lain yang seharusnya juga dikembangkan, karenanya perlu iklim pembelajaran yang berupaya untuk menyeimbangkan semua pengembangan kompetensi peserta didik yang berdampak pada penguatan sosial dan emosional siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif, yang akan menggambarkan bagaimana penguatan keterampilan sosial dan emosional siswa di SD melalu metode speaker’s staff. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan metode speaker’s staff memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilann sosial dan emosianal siswa.

Abstract

This article discusses the 5W + 1H components and their analysis in SD / MI reading materials, namely the 2018 revised class VI student book Theme 2 Sub-theme 1. The purpose of this study is to search for the 5W + 1H component to make it easier to examine the main ideas of reading. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis techniques, namely techniques that make inferences that can be imitated and pay attention to the validity of the data in its context. The results obtained were the 5W + 1H component in the reading material for the 6th grade students' revision of 2018 Theme 2, Sub-theme 1, which stated that all components were contained in the reading, but of the four reading materials there were two readings that were difficult to find the 'Why' component.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan assessment pembelajaran IPS dan  hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi oleh guru kelas V di SD gugus Bintang dalam melaksanakan assessment pembelajaran IPS. Menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah tujuh guru kelas V di SD gugus Bintang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan: 1) observasi, 2) wawancara, dan 3) dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis model interaktif Miles dan Huberman langkah-langkahnya yaitu reduksi data, display data, danpenarikan kesimpulan. Peneliti penggunakan triangulasi teknik untuk menganalisis informasi yang diperoleh. Pelaksanaan assessment pembelajaran IPS kelas V oleh guru di SD Gugus Bintang sudah cukup baik karena mencakup tiga aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Tapi ada beberapa sekolah yang belum melaksanakan assessment yang meliputi tiga aspek. Hambatan-hambatan yang dirasakan oleh guru-guru kelas V di Gugus Bintang dalam mengassessment pembelajaran IPS yaitu: 1) Kognitif, guru tidak menggunakan rubrik penilaian untuk menilai soal esai, dan guru belum menemukan cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal siswa. 2) Afektif, belum menggunakan daftar checklist untuk mengassessment perkembangan masing-masing siswa. 3) Psikomotorik, guru tidak menggunakan rubrik penilaian untuk menilai gambar yang siswa buat. Bagi guru kelas V di SD Gugus Bintang harus lebih memperhatikan indikator-indikator yang terdapat pada ranah kognitif, ranah afektif, dan ranah psikomotorik dalam mengassessment pembelajaran IPS. Selain itu juga harus lebih mengoptimalkan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang tersedia di sekolah masing-masing.

Abstract

Assessment is very needed in learning. Assessment in the educational context is defined as a series of activities that include collecting, analyzing and interpreting data to determine the level of understanding and performance of students during the learning process. Without conducting an assessment, it is impossible for us to verify that the goals and objectives have been achieved. Each curriculum that is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia must have an assessment to assess students' abilities or achievements in their learning activities; the same goes for the Merdeka Curriculum. Therefore, this article aims to provide information and discuss assessment studies in the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools. This research is included in the category of qualitative research with library research methods by collecting and evaluating data from library sources that are relevant to the research topic. This research refers to books, articles, journals, and other appropriate sources. Based on research results from several journals, it is proven that by conducting assessment studies, student learning outcomes will reflect their respective competencies. The conclusions based on the results of the literature review carried out are that assessment is very important in the application of learning, especially in the Merdeka Curriculum. There are many examples in the Merdeka Curriculum, such as diagnostic assessments, summative assessments, and also formative assessments, all of which are equally useful for knowing the value or quality of students' absorbing the learning that has been given by the teacher to them.

Abstract

Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengetahui implementasi media flashcard dalam keterampilan menulis kata baku. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh keterampilan menulis kata baku siswa yang masih rendah, siswa kesulitan dalam menulis kata baku sesuai dengan kaidah kebahasaan yakni pedoman ejaan bahasa Indonesia dan siswa sulit membedakan huruf f, p, dan v dalam menulis kata baku. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut peneliti memberikan salah satu alternatif dengan mengimplementasikan media flashcard dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia perihal menulis kata baku, karena media flashcard dapat mempermudah siswa untuk meniru dan mengingat kata-kata yang terdapat dalam kartu-kartu tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan pengimplementasian media flashcard dalam peningkatan keterampilan menulis kata baku di kelas III SD. Populasi dan sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas III SD Negeri Pasirkanyere yang berjumlah 20 orang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pre-experimental design dengan desain pre-test and post-test design. Instrumen utama yang digunakan peneliti adalah tes tertulis menulis kata baku berupa menjodohkan dan jawaban singkat. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2016, ANATES, dan SPSS 23. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil menulis kata baku sesudah mengimplementasikan media flashcard lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran tidak mengimplementasikan media flashcard, dilihat dari perolehan rata-rata pre-test sebesar 55,45 sedangkan perolehan rata-rata post-test sebesar 87,15. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan menulis kata baku melalui media flashcard. Hasil uji rata-rata beda (mean different) sebesar 25,27. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian data melalui SPSS diperoleh hasil bahwa signifikasi 0,05 (0,000 0,05), dan nilai Md 0 (25,27 0), maka dapat diketahui bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan rata-rata skor pretest dan posttest. Dengan demikian nilai posttest lebih tinggi dari nilai pretest. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan siswa menulis kata baku pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia melalui implementasi media flashcard pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya kemampuan berpikir aljabar yang harus dikuasai siswa sekolah dasar. Berpikir aljabar menjembatani siswa untuk melakukan pemecahan masalah dengan strateginya sendiri. Kemampuan berpikir aljabar dapat dibiasakan sejak usia sekolah dasar meskipun siswa belum menerima pembelajaran aljabar formal. Pembiasaan tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan memilah materi sekolah dasar yang berpotensi untuk dijadikan pembelajaran yang menjadi prasyarat aljlabar dijenjang selanjutnya. Dengan demikian perlu adanya sebuah pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemapuan berpikir aljabar siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan dari penelitian desain didaktis berpikir aljabar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan jenis kuasi. Populasi yang dipilih adalah siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV di Kota Bekasi. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelompok siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Teluk Pucung 1 yakni kelas A dan Kelas D sebanyak 40 Siswa yang memiliki kemiripan karakteristik tertentu. Peneliti akan menerapkan desain pembelajaran pemodelan tabel dan diagram dalam pembelajaran. Desain pembelajaran yang di ekperimenkan merupakan hasil pelitian pegembangan desain didaktis yang diramncang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa sekolah dasar. Desain dirancang dengan memperhatikan learning obstacles siswa yang ditemukan dan dilakukan analisis dan ditelusuri dengan wawancara. Selain itu desain pembelajaran juga dirancang dengan memperhatikan learning trajectory materi tabeldan diagram dari konsep kongkrit sampai konsep yang semi abstrak. Desain pembelajaran tersebut diimplementasikan dan dilihat pengaruhnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are needed by students in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools as a provision in solving problems in their lives later. This study aims to provide knowledge to educators and other researchers about the current conditions related to critical thinking skills possessed by grade VI students in elementary schools in Indonesian language learning in terms of assessment instruments adapted from AKM literacy questions. This study uses a quantitative design used to measure the extent of critical thinking skills in the form of literacy test questions adapted from AKM questions and then modified so that they contain indicators of critical thinking skills and indicators of AKM literacy questions. And qualitative design to process data from ethnographic studies through analysis of interviews and observations used to explore the causes of low critical thinking skills. The results showed that critical thinking skills in grade VI students were still in sufficient criteria. Of the six FRISCO critical thinking skills indicators, only the focus, inference, and sittuation indicators are included in the good criteria and the reason, clarity, and overview indicators are still included in the sufficient criteria, so that the final average of the six critical thinking skills indicators is included in the sufficient criteria. This is due to students reading the question no matter what. This is because students read the questions incompletely so that they do not understand the questions asked. The length of the reading contained in the story causes learners to find it difficult to find information that is really important. Learners only focus on the first sentence in each paragraph with the aim that the question can be done quickly. Therefore, it is necessary to familiarize Indonesian language learning using assessment instruments based on AKM literacy questions so that students are accustomed to thinking critically.

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated because there is no media in social studies subjects regarding the history of the birth of Pancasila for grade V elementary school. Media that makes students interested and willing to take part in social studies learning with fun because social studies learning is often seen as a boring and boring subject. One of the studies in social studies is the history of the birth of Pancasila. This research aims to produce a snake ladder media design about the birth of Pancasila for fifth grade elementary school students, to know the feasibility of snake ladder media about the birth of Pancasila for fifth grade elementary school students and to produce a snake ladder media about the birth of Pancasila for fifth grade elementary school students. The method used in this study is the Design Based Research (DBR) model of Reeves, because the researcher developed a media, namely snakes and ladders media about the history of the birth of Pancasila. To obtain data, researchers used several data collection techniques, namely interviews, expert judgment (expert judgment), observation and questionnaire. Based on trials that have been done, the results of the study showed that the snake ladder media received a positive response from students, in the first phase of the student response showed a percentage of 93%, while in the second stage of the trial the student response showed a percentage of 98.75%. Based on the results of the validation by the material, media and pedagogical experts as well as the results of the trials conducted by the developed learning media, it was declared to be suitable for use. Thus the development of snakes and ladders media about the birth of Pancasila in social studies learning for fifth grade elementary school students, is appropriate for students to use in the learning process. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena belum adanya media dalam mata pelajaran IPS  mengenai sejarah Lahirnya Pancasila untuk kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Media yang membuat siswa tertarik serta mau mengikuti pembelajaran IPS dengan menyenangkan karena pembelajaran IPS seringkali dipandang sebagai mata pelajaran yang menjenuhkan dan membosankan. Salah satu kajian dalam mata pelajaran IPS yaitu tentang sejarah lahirnya Pancasila. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan rancangan media ular tangga tentang lahirnya Pancasila untuk siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar, mengetahui kelayakan media ular tangga tentang lahirnya Pancasila untuk siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar dan menghasilkan media ular tangga tentang lahirnya Pancasila untuk siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Design Based Research (DBR) model Reeves, karena peneliti mengembangkan sebuah media yaitu media ular tangga tentang sejarah lahirnya Pancasila. Untuk memperoleh data, peneliti menggunakan beberapa teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, expert judgement (penilaian para ahli), observasi dan angket. Berdasarkan uji coba yang telah dilakukan, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media ular tangga mendapatkan respon positif dari siswa, pada uji coba tahap satu respon siswa menunjukan presentase 93%, sedangkan pada uji coba tahap kedua respon siswa menunjukan presentase 98,75%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi, media dan pedagogik serta hasil uji coba yang dilakukan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan Dengan demikian pengembangan media ular tangga tentang Lahirnya Pancasila dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar, layak digunakan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of learning habits on student achievement motivation. The research method is a causal approach implemented in V students in Cikaret 1 Elementary School, Bogor. Based on the calculation results of the regression equation analysis shows there is a positive influence between the two variables, this means that if the variable X rises if the variable Y rises. Based on the results of the Product Moment analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.77 and a coefficient of determination of 59% means that there is a very high correlation between study habits with student achievement motivation. If the study habits are high, the student achievement motivation will also be high and vice versa. The results of the analysis showed a positive relationship between learning habits variables and achievement motivation variables with the equation = 81.193 + 0.1174X, meaning that if learning habits experience an increase of one unit, then achievement motivation will increase by 0.1174. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient significance test obtained showed that tcount ttable with tcount = 11,797 while ttable 2,079. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant influence on elementary students' learning habits on achievement motivation.
