The Indonesian Journal of Primary Education is a scientific periodical published twice a year (June-December) that publishes the results of original research on primary education and primary school teacher education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies within the scope of basic education and primary school teacher education including curriculum, teaching materials, media, methods, and evaluation of primary school learning. Since 2017, this journal has been published by the UPI PGSD Study Program, Tasikmalaya Campus with Himpunan Dosen PGSD Indonesia (the Indonesian PGSD Lecturer Association). Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe the teacher's knowledge of school bullying , forms of school bullying  that occurs in elementary schools; and behaviors demonstrated by the perpetrators, victims and spectators of school bullying . In the background, bullying is often considered trivial and often occurs. This research took place in elementary school 1 Gunungpereng Jalan Cilembang RT 02/RW 14, village Cilembang, subdistrict Cihideung, Tasikmalaya City, West Java province. Research participants for observation and interviews are grade IV teachers (SA), 6 grade IV students and one parent guardian. Using a qualitative Paradigm case study method. Methods of collecting data using non participatory of, interviews, documentation and audio visuals. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. Based on the results of research can be concluded that there is a school bullying  in SD Negeri 1 Gunungpereng with the following results. (1) Lack of teacher knowledge about school bullying , as well as a study of teachers who said mischief in school is still reasonable; (2) The reaction shown by the victim is, silent, afraid or crying; Perpetrators demonstrate indifferent and happy behavior; While the audience shows reactions, against the perpetrator, defending the perpetrator or silence; (3) The form of school bullying  that occurs is a physical form (hitting with the handles of broom, hitting by hand, pushing) and non-physical (verbal: threatening, pushy, cheer, whack; Non verbal direct: snap, Memarahi, reign, menunjuk-nunjuk with fingers; non indirect verbal: exclusion).AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan  mendeskripsikan pengetahuan guru tentang school bullying , bentuk-bentuk school bullying  yang terjadi di SD; dan perilaku yang ditunjukkan pelaku, korban dan penonton school bullying . Dilatar belakangi bahwa bullying sering dianggap sepele dan sering terjadi.Penelitian ini terjadi di SD Negeri 1 Gunungpereng Jalan Cilembang RT 02/RW 14, Kelurahan Cilembang, Kecamatan Cihideung, Kota Tasikmalaya, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Partisipan penelitian untuk observasi dan wawancara adalah guru kelas IV (SA), 6 orang siswa kelas IV dan satu orang wali orang tua murid. Menggunakan paradigma kualitatif metode studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan obervasi non partisipatif, wawancara, dokumentasi dan audio visual. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi school bullying  di SD Negeri 1 Gunungpereng dengan hasil sebagai berikut. (1) kurangnya pengetahuan guru mengenai school bullying , serta pendpat guru yang mengatakan kenakalan di sekolahnya masih wajar; (2) reaksi yang ditunjukkan korban adalah, diam, takut atau menangis; pelaku menunjukkan perilaku acuh dan senang; sedangkan penonton menunjukkan reaksi, melawan pelaku, membela pelaku atau diam; (3) bentuk school bullying  yang terjadi adalah bentuk fisik (memukul dengan gagang sapu, memukul dengan tangan, mendorong) dan non fisik (verbal: mengancam, memaksa, menyoraki, meledek; non verbal langsung: membentak, memarahi, memerintah, menunjuk-nunjuk dengan jari; non verbal tidak langsung: pengucilan).

Muhammad Rahmat. Analysis of the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Indonesian Language Learning for Grade IV at SD Negeri 003 Meral. Department/Study Program of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Karimun, 2024. This study aims to describe: 1) to analyze the implementation of the independent curriculum in Indonesian language learning for Grade IV at SD Negeri 003 Meral, 2) to analyze the obstacles and challenges in implementing the independent curriculum in Indonesian language learning for Grade IV at SD Negeri 003 Meral, 3) to analyze the efforts to overcome obstacles and challenges in implementing the independent curriculum in Indonesian language learning for Grade IV at SD Negeri 003 Meral.  This research is qualitative research. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 003 Meral in April 2024. The subjects of this research are the Principal, Grade IV Teachers, and Grade IV Students. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. Activities in qualitative data analysis used an interactive model, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.  The results of this study indicate that: 1) the implementation of the independent curriculum in Indonesian language learning has been well realized, the planning carried out includes analyzing learning objectives, preparing lesson plans, and creating learning activity programs. The implementation of learning has already applied differentiated learning tailored to students' needs and has designed evaluations in the form of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, 2) there are obstacles and challenges such as lack of information, limited reference sources, and time constraints in the preparation of teaching modules and assessments, 3) efforts made to overcome obstacles and challenges include participating in seminars, webinars, and workshops, increasing reference sources, and utilizing the teaching module preparation guidelines provided by the government.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the implementation of a model school program by implementing an internal quality assurance system in meeting the achievement of eight national standards, and to develop routine activities of strengthening social values in students, as well as to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of the school program model of strengthening social values in students. This research uses descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. This study uses data analysis techniques, which consist of the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of the model school program carried out routine activities through learning, modeling, habituation, extracurricular activities, local wisdom culture, little doctor, and school health. The supporting and inhibiting factors are the achievement of the quality culture mapping of the Internal Quality Assurance System the strategic location of the school and adequate learning facilities, the readiness and support of educators and education staff, as well as the support of parents and the community , and the cooperation of the MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding), while the inhibiting factors are the limitations of teaching staff and education personnel to implement internal quality assurance system different student backgrounds, limited facilities and infrastructure, and there are still parents of students and the community who do not fully support the model school program. Abstract

This study was conducted to solve the problem of children's difficulties in writing poetry in fourth grade by using digital teaching materials to write poetry in a form of flipbook. The purpose of this research is to design a flipbook-based digital teaching material product to facilitate learning to write poetry in elementary schools, especially in Grade IV. The method used was Educational Design Research (EDR) starting from analyzing needs according to problem identification and exploring what was found in elementary schools, design and construction of developed tools, to evaluation and reflection of developed tools. The results of developing digital teaching materials for writing poetry were contents that can be taught to fourth grade elementary school students including: (1) The concept of poetry, (2) Basic poetry, (3) Elements of poetry, (4) Looking for ideas, (5) Pouring ideas in the form of poetry that is supported by multimedia provided by flipbook so that the digital teaching material for writing poetry based on flipbook developed by researchers are suitable to use. Thus, digital teaching material for writing poetry in the form of a flipbook can meet the needs of learning to write poetry in elementary schools because there are multimedia such as animation, images, videos, and audio so that learning can be supported and more interesting by utilizing the sophistication of existing technology. The position of this digital teaching material is as an additional reference in learning literature in elementary schools.

Abstract

 The purpose of this study is to find out the understanding of science concepts in the fourth grade energy source material at elementary school. The research method used in this research is a quantitative description. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed using percentages. The results of this study indicate that the average understanding of science concepts in the fourth grade energy source material at elementary school belongs to the moderate criteria of 49%. This is evident from the results of the study that the percentage of students' understanding of science concepts from three indicators which include: giving examples and non-examples of a concept by 39% low criteria, classifying objects according to their nature or according to the concept by 63% high criteria and assigning returned a concept by 47% of the moderate criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul “analisis capaian potensi kecerdasan logis-matematis siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran berbasis kemampuan otak (Brain Based Learning)”, berjujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis potensi kecerdasan logis-matematis yang tampak pada siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran berbasis kemampuan otak (Brain Based Learning). Masalah yang ingin dijawab adalah “bagaimana capaian potensi kecerdasan logis-matematis siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran berbasis kemampuan otak (Brain Based Learning)?” Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain metode deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN 1, 2, 4 Pasirhalang, Kecamatan Sukaraja, Kabupaten Sukabumi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum capaian potensi kecerdasan logis-matematis siswa pada pembelajaran berbasis kemampuan otak (Brain Based Learning) telah merata dan mencapai tingkat perkembangan yang cukup memadai. Jumlah kemunculannya relatif tidak terlalu banyak dengan frekuensi kemunculan sebanyak 63 eviden. Salah satu penyebabnya dari pencapaian ini karena jumlah pertemuan yang terbatas. Walaupun demikian, siswa telah memiliki potensi kecerdasan logis-matematis yang dapat dikembangkan secara optimalkan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze multicultural education materials in social studies, to analyze the application or relationship between multicultural education in social studies and students' Bugis language behavior, and to analyze the supporting factors or the influence of multicultural education teaching and its application with Bugis language behavior at UPTD SPF SDN 277 Sarecoppeng, Soppeng Regency. Types and Approaches This research is a qualitative research by providing a clear and systematic description related to the object under study in order to provide valid information and data related to facts and phenomena in the field. The main focus in this research is the process and interaction of the subject and the behavior it displays, describes how the subject interacts with his surroundings related to the teaching of multicultural education and its application to the Bugis language behavior of students in social studies at UPTD SPF SDN 277 Sarecoppeng. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sekolah dasar setelah mendapatkan perlakuan  dengan penerapan model discovery learning berdasarkan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian deskriptif dengan metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di gugus IV Kecamatan Nara yang terdaftar pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IV di SDN 1 Mara yang berjumlah 21 orang. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dalam bentuk soal uraian dengan jumlah 10 butir soal yang keseluruhannya mencakup 5 kategori kemampuan berpikir kritis menurut Nitko dan Brookhart yaitu (1) elementary clarification, (2) basic support of  argument, (3) inferences, (4) advanced clarification, and (5) strategies and tactics. Dari hasil analisis test kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah mendapatkan perlakuan dengan model discovery learning sebesar 24% dengan kategori sangat tinggi, dan 62% kategori tinggi serta 14 % dengan kategori sedang, dengan rata-rata nilai 69,40. Dari hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Mara pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018 memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking is required to develop analytical, evaluative, problem-solving, and critical information connection abilities. Elementary school students will have a strong foundation for studying mathematics at a higher level and for facing daily challenges if they are encouraged to think creatively in mathematics. The present study aimed to determine the profile of elementary school student's ability to think creatively in mathematics. This study employed a quantitative descriptive survey with a sample size of 48 elementary school pupils aged 7 to 12. The instrument used was a 32-question test of mathematical creative thinking with a maximum score of 40 and three dimensions, namely fluency, variability, and novelty, with a 0.86 level of reliability. The results indicate that the average value of mathematical creative thinking in the "Fair" category is 71.61, with the lowest value being 67.5 and the highest value being 82.5. Regarding their ability to think creatively in mathematics, 92.80% of students fall into the "Fair" category, while 4.2% fall into the "Good" category. However, from the analysis results, the importance of mathematical creative thinking is still not included in the "Good" category. Consequently, there is a need for methods or media to enhance the ability of elementary school students to think creatively in mathematics or calculation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kecerdasan interpersonal anak dengan menerapkan pendekatan sosial. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Winduhaji dengan jumlah siswa kelas sebanyak 21 anak. Obyek penelitian  ini yaitu kecerdasan interpersonal anak yang meliputi 3 dimensi kepekaan sosial, pemahaman sosial dan komunikasi sosial. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan kecerdasan interpersonal anak melalui pendekatan sosial, yakni kecerdasan interpersonal anak sebelum diterapkannya pendekatan sosial diperoleh nilai terendah 37, nilai tertinggi 67 dan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 53,67 dengan standar deviasi 9,04. Dan mengalami peningkatan setelah diterapkannya pendekatan sosial diperoleh nilai terendah 54, nilai tertinggi 82 dan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 69,67 dengan standar deviasi 9,35. Hal ini telah meningkat setelah mendapatkan perlakuan, hasilnya dengan tingkat signifikasi 0,05 tercatat bahwa nilai thitung = 5,16 ttabel = 1,68385. Jadi, hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima. Langkah-langkah yang ditempuh sehingga kecerdasan interpersonal anak meningkat: kegiatan diskusi kelompok, kegiatan S3 (Sedekah Sehari Sesukamu). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pendekatan sosial dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan interpersonal anak.
