The Indonesian Journal of Primary Education is a scientific periodical published twice a year (June-December) that publishes the results of original research on primary education and primary school teacher education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies within the scope of basic education and primary school teacher education including curriculum, teaching materials, media, methods, and evaluation of primary school learning. Since 2017, this journal has been published by the UPI PGSD Study Program, Tasikmalaya Campus with Himpunan Dosen PGSD Indonesia (the Indonesian PGSD Lecturer Association). Abstract

Tujuan penulisan makalah ini adalah untuk memaparkan penanaman nilai-nilai kearifan lokal sebagai garis haluan atau dasar dalam membentuk karakter yang sesungguhnya pada diri siswa. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih, banyak budaya asing yang masuk ke Indonesia seolah-olah tidak ada batasan yang mengaturnya. Kelemahan yang dimiliki oleh kebanyakan warga Indonesia ialah seperti ”menerima” begitu saja dan kurang mampu untuk menyaringnya. Banyak budaya asing yang masuk, ada beberapa aspek yang ditiru oleh kebanyakan anak muda Indonesia dari misalnya mengenakan pakaian dengan gaya ke barat-baratan hingga pergaulan bebas dan seks menyimpang. Pada saat ini sungguh menjadi ironi yang dihadapi oleh bangsa Indonesia . Diperlukan dukungan dari berbagai pihak, khususnya kesadaran dalam diri kita untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah yang besar ini dan jangan sampai merusak moral anak muda NKRI terlalu jauh. Dalam rangka membangun kembali bangsa yang bermartabat maka diperlukan proses pendidikan karakter dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal atau nilai-nilai budaya setempat. Seperti yang ditegaskan oleh presiden RI ke-7, bahwa kebudayaan harus dijadikan nafas kelangsungan hidup bangsa dan menjadi darah kepribadian di dalam sistem pendidikan. Betapa penting dunia pendidikan sebagai media atau perantara dalam memajukan kebudayaan bangsa. Kebudayaan bangsa yang merupakan cerminan dari nilai-nilai luhur hasil pencapaian rasa, karsa dan karya manusia Indonesia.

Abstract

Learning media is a supportive tool in the teaching and learning process. Through learning media, it is hoped that motivation can be provided to students to enhance their interest in learning English material. Interactive learning media can be a solution in selecting the appropriate learning media to present English material in elementary school students. This research aimed: 1) to produce an interactive learning multimedia product based on Canva; 2) to know a product quality by the experts; and 3) to know product effectiveness by teacher and students responses. This RD research employed the Borg and Gall research and development model. However, considering time and resource limitations, it was only tested in one school at SD Muhammadiyah Noyokerten in Yogyakarta with 40 research subjects. Therefore, the execution of this research only extended to the seventh stage. That stage consists of Research and Information Collecting, Planning, Develop Preliminary Form a Product, Preliminary Field Testing, Main Product Revision, Main field Testing, and Operational Product Revision. The last stage is results final product after involved refining the product in the primary field testing. The data analysis techniques used consisted of qualitative and quantitative analyses based on product assessment questionnaire sheets. Based on the research, data was obtained on Canva-based interactive learning multimedia of English subject for 3rd grade in elementary school demonstrates very good quality and is suitable for implementation. This is proven by results of obtained average scores from media expert, material expert, learning expert, teacher, and students of 89,67 get in “Very Good” category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil analisis studi pendahuluan yang peneliti lakukan di SD kelas IV yaitu masih terdapat permasalahan pada pelajaran matematika mengenai konsep rumus luas daerah segitiga. Permasalahan tersebut muncul antara lain dalam hal penggunaan media. Penggunaan media pada pembelajaran matematika sangat membantu siswa dalam memahami suatu konsep matematika. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, peneliti akan melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif berbasis Adobe Flash. Adobe Flash merupakan program pengelola animasi yang banyak digunakan oleh para desainer animasi yang mampu membuat berbagai project menjadi sangat menarik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri di wilayah Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan bentuk desain Quasi Experimental berbentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design dan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan teknik tes berupa esay. Teknis analisis data menggunakan Microsoft Word 2010 dan aplikasi SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi luas daerah segitiga mengalami peningkatan dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif.

Abstract

Disciplined character education through scout activities is an effort to develop and familiarize scout members to become disciplined individuals. This research aims to describe the implementation of disciplined character education through scout activities at SDN Grujugan Lor 1. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this research were school principals, scout leaders and scout members. Data collection in research uses observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Data validity checking techniques use extended observations, increased persistence, and triangulation. The results of this research show that scout leaders implement disciplined character through scout activities including 4 discipline indicators, namely time discipline, discipline in obeying rules, attitude discipline, and worship discipline. Scout leaders in implementing disciplined character education through scouts apply strategies by providing advice, example, habituation, and punishment or sanctions for those who break the rules. Supporting factors are that the scoutmaster has completed the basic (KMD) and advanced (KML) scoutmaster courses, full parental support, and complete infrastructure. The inhibiting factors are the large number of scout members, short time, and there are some scout members or students who don't like scout activities

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan belum tersedianya multimedia interaktif yang menjelaskan tentang materi pupuh pada mata pelajaran bahasa sunda di kelas III sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan ketersediaan media pembelajaran tentang pupuh pada pembelajaran bahasa sunda di kelas III SDN 2 Taraju sebelum dilakukan penelitian; (2) Mendeskripsikan desain pengembangan multimedia interaktif tentang pupuh pada pembelajaran bahasa sunda di kelas III SDN 2 Taraju; (3) Mendeskripsikan kelayakan pengembangan multimedia interaktif tentang pupuh pada pembelajaran bahasa sunda di kelas III SDN 2 Taraju; (4) Mendeskripsikan implementasi multimedia interaktif tentang pupuh pada pembelajaran bahasa sunda di kelas III SDN 2 Taraju.Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk berupa multimedia interaktif tentang pupuh pada pembelajaran bahasa sunda di kelas III sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan Design Based Research (DBR). Penelitian ini menghasilkan empatsimpulan. Pertama, media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia interaktif tentang pupuh di kelas III SDN 2 Taraju belum tersedia.. Kedua, mulitmedia interaktif tentang pupuh pada pembelajarann bahasa sunda dibuat dan dirancang dengan menggunakan aplikasi Adobe Captivate. Ketiga, uji produk dilaksanakan melaluibeberapa penilaian dari ahli yaitu ahli materi pembelajaran tentang pupuh, ahli media pembelajaran, dan ahli pedagogik. Multimedia interkatif juga diuji respons kepada siswa kelas III sekolah dasar baik dari konteks maupun konten. Keempat, multimedia interaktif tentang pupuh diimplementasikan di kelas III A dan III B SDN 2 Taraju. Multimedia interaktif tentang pupuh dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran untuk kelas III sekolah dasar karena materi didalamnya disesuaikan dengan kurikulum yang terdapat di sekolah dasar yaitu kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

The research is supported by the need to improve the quality of contextualised and relevant learning. In a cultural value-based learning model, students not only learn abstract concepts, but are also able to connect knowledge with real experiences in their cultural context. UPI Tasikmalaya Campus Laboratory Elementary School has a vision and mission that is relevant to the strengthening of cultural values. This research is to identify cultural values that are relevant to the learning process at UPI Tasikmalaya Campus Laboratory Elementary School, and analyse the impact of cultural values integration on character building. Data were collected through document analysis of the curriculum and school programme of SD Laboratorium UPI Tasikmalaya, and through interviews with several teachers and students at the school. The data generated from this study, some cultural values that are relevant in the context of learning include social values, manners, and good habits. The teachers use various methods and media that reflect local culture, such as practical activities and cultural observations, to help students internalise these values. They believe that teaching with cultural themes will improve students' understanding of academic material and make learning more effective. In addition, cultural values are also used as benchmarks to develop students' attitudes and behaviours, and increase their motivation and participation in class.

Abstract

Abstract In the teaching and learning process so that the material can be understood optimally the role of the teacher is needed. The rapid development of technology requires teachers to have abilities in the field. However, knowledge and operation of technology in this case ICT, is still minimal to master. Therefore, training and mentoring as a first step towards learning sustainability in accordance with RI 4.0 platform continue to be developed. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of teacher responses and products made by teachers after attending training and mentoring. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Respondents from this study were 34 teachers. Data collection techniques are done by interview and questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out to find out how high the response to the training and mentoring was carried out. The results of the analysis found that the response of teachers in participating in training and mentoring was very high or very positive. This is evident from the results of questionnaire data and products made. The importance of training and mentoring is felt by teachers in facing learning that is increasingly developing along with the flow of technology. Teachers are required to be technology literate, innovate or create technology-based learning. Therefore training and mentoring are the first step of continuous learning in accordance with RI 4.0 playtform.Abstrak Dalam proses belajar mengajar agar materi dapat dipahami secara optimal peran guru sangat diperlukan. Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat mengharuskan guru memiliki kemmapuan dalam bidang tersebut. Namun, pengetahuan dan pengoperasian teknologi dalam hal ini TIK, masih minim dikuasai. Oleh sebab itu pelatihan dan pendampingan sebagai langkah awal keberlanjutan pembelajaran sesuai dengan platform RI 4.0 terus dikembangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat respon guru dan produk yang dibuat oleh guru setelah mengikuti pelatihan dan pendampingan. Metode yang digunakan merupakan metode kualitatif deskripstif. Responden dari penelitian ini berjumlah 34 orang guru. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan untuk nngetahui seberapa tinggi respon terhadap pelatihan dan pendampingannyang telah dilaksanakan.  Hasil penelitian ditemukan respon guru dalam mengikuti pelatihan dan pendampingan ini sangat tinggi atau sangat positif. Hal tersebut terbukti dari hasil data angket dan produk yang dibuat. Pentingnya pelatihan dan pendampingan dirasakan guru dalam menghadapi pembelajaran yang semakin berkembang mengikuti arus teknologi. Guru dituntut untuk melek teknologi, berinovasi atau menciptakan pembelajaran yang berbasis teknologi. Oleh sebab itu pelatihan dan pendampingan merupakan langkah awal dari keberlanjutan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan playtform RI 4.0

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the integration of character education in social studies learning, in the process carried out in integrating character education, which can increase understanding of the values of noble character education which includes several values including religious values, Pancasila values, cultural values, and national education goals. The research method used in this study is qualitative research method with the type of library research. Meanwhile, the data collection process in this study was carried out by reviewing library sources or documents considered relevant in this study and exploring several journals and books (both electronic and printed). Then the findings in this study are that education is basically a conscious effort to develop the potential of students optimally. character education, namely; shaping the child's personality, so that he becomes a good human being, a good citizen, so that he is able to anticipate the symptoms of a moral crisis and play a role in the development of the younger generation. Then social studies education is a subject that examines social life whose material is based on studies of history, geography, economics, sociology, anthropology, and state administration. Through social studies learning, character education values can be included by integrating the material in the social studies learning. Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of problem based learning model assisted by animation media on students' learning interests and social learning outcomes of class V in state Elementary School 3 Connect Java Pangkep Regency. The type of research was Quasi Experimental Design using nonequivalent control group design, this study applied saturated sample of 40 students with 2 classes as control classes and experimental classes. The data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0. Data collection in order to get the students' learning results was obtained by using pretest and posttest and to get the results of students' learning interest obtained by using questionnaires. The results of descriptive analysis in terms of interest and learning results of experimental classes were higher than the control class. in addition, there is a gap in the control class where the interest in learning is not balanced with the learning outcomes. Then on Manove-test obtained a significance of 0.000. This significance value was less than 0.05, which mean there was an influence of problem based learning models assisted by animation media simultaneously on interest and learning outcomes. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there was an influence of problem based learning assisted by animation media on the students' interests and learning outcomes of social science students of class V in State Elementary School 3 Connect Jawa Pangkep Regency. which mean there was an influence of problem based learning models assisted by animation media simultaneously on interest and learning outcomes. Abstract

Pembuatan karya inovatif ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa tentang bilangan bulat dengan menggunakan Media Pelajaran Kak Posneg di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 09 Belakang Balok Kota Bukittinggi. Media pelajaran ini dapat digunakan dikelas IV, V, dan VI SD. Media pembelajaran Kak Posneg adalah media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran sifat-sifat opersi hitung termasuk operasi campuran FPB dan KPK. Bentuk rancangan media pelajaran berupa Kak Posneg ini disusun menyerupai congklak yang terbuat dari sebilah papan yang diberi warna merah, kuning, oranye, dan biru pada latarKak Posneg. Melalui kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, maka hasil belajar siswa tentang operasi hitung bilangan bulat dapat meningkat dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Kak Posneg.Jika dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa pada pertemuan pertama  9,73, pada pertemuan kedua 9,93.Dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa sebelum menggunakan media Kak Posneg yaitu 6,25, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan. Jadi, dengan menggunakan media Kak Posneg, dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran operasi hitung bilangan bulat.
