The Indonesian Journal of Primary Education is a scientific periodical published twice a year (June-December) that publishes the results of original research on primary education and primary school teacher education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies within the scope of basic education and primary school teacher education including curriculum, teaching materials, media, methods, and evaluation of primary school learning. Abstract

Abstract Less optimal learning of science results in low learning outcomes of science. In overcoming this, it is necessary to apply variative learning in accordance with the demands of the current century, namely 21st century learning. The study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of 21st century learning on science learning outcomes in learners by controlling learning motivation. This research is experimental study. The study population was students of class V of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kupang totaling 92 people and the sample used was 62 people, with a random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using one-way ANAVA test, ANAKOVA test, and product moment test. The instrument used in the form of science learning outcomes tests and questionnaires. The results showed that: 1) there was an effect of the implementation of 21st century learning on science learning outcomes with = 34.984  (0.05; 1:60) = 4.00. 2) There is an effect of the implementation of 21st century learning on science learning outcomes, after learning motivation is controlled by FA * = 36.106   (0.05; 1:59) = 4.00. 3) There is a significant contribution of learning motivation to the learning outcomes of science, by 66%. The implications of this study include: 1) educators play a more active and creative role in shaping 21st century learning in students by not only mastering science as a product, but especially as a process. 2) The implementation of 21st century learning requires patience, determination, creativity, innovation in designing learning so that students actually participate in learning so that the required skills are formed in accordance with the 21st century. 3) Adequate learning facilities to support learning so as to improve learning outcomes in a manner optimal. Abstrak Pembelajaran IPA yang kurang optimal mengakibatkan rendahnya hasil belajar IPA. Dalam mengatasi hal tersebut perlunya menerapkan pembelajaran variatif yang sesuai dengan tuntutan abad saat ini yaitu pembelajaran abad 21.  Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi pembelajaran abad 21 terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada peserta didik dengan pengendalian motivasi belajar. Penelitaian ini merupakan penelitiankuantitatif berupa  eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kupang berjumlah 92 orang dan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 62 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji ANAVA satu jalur, uji ANAKOVA, dan Uji product moment. Instrument yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar IPA dan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh implementasi pembelajaran abad 21 terhadap hasil belajar IPA dengan   = 34,984  (0,05; 1:60) = 4,00. 2) Terdapat pengaruh implementasi pembelajaran abad 21 terhadap hasil belajar IPA, setelah motivasi belajar dikendalikan dengan = 36.106  (0,05; 1:59) = 4,00. 3) Terdapat kontribusi signifikan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA, sebesar 66%. Implikasi penelitian ini diantaranya: 1) pendidik berperan lebih aktif dan kreatif membentuk pembelajaran abad 21 pada peserta didik dengan tidak hanya menguasai ilmu pengetahuan sebagi produk, tetapi terutama sebagai proses. 2) Implementasi pembelajaran abad 21 memerlukan kesabaran, tekad, kreatifitas, inovasi dalam merancang pembelajaran sehingga peserta didik benar-benar mengikuti pembelajaran sehingga terbentuk keterampilan yang dibutuhkan sesuai dengan abad 21. 3) Fasilitas belajar yang memadai guna menunjang pembelajaran sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a learning service management strategy for children with autism in an inclusive elementary school. This study employed a case study as its research methodology, collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The study results suggest that Muhammadiyah Private Elementary School effectively manages its services by implementing a curriculum that is modified or tailored to the specific needs of children with special needs. Additionally, the school conducted assessments to inform the planning of learning activities for students with autism. When creating Individualized Learning Plans, teachers employed various learning methods to accommodate students classified as having special needs. Additionally, the assessment process was tailored to the student's abilities based on the assessment outcomes. The school offered a diverse range of services to ensure that they could provide the best possible support for all students. In conclusion, in managing educational services, the principal and teachers strive to work cooperatively to plan, execute, and evaluate school-related activities effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the RADEC learning model assisted by the zoom application on students' critical thinking skills in the Covid-19 pandemic era. This type of research is a quasi experimental research design type nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all sixth grade students of SD Negeri Sekompleks Kalukuang Makassar City which consisted of 4 schools with a total number of students being 203 and the research sample was 56 students of class VI SDN Kalukuang 1 Makassar with a random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using test techniques, test techniques are used to determine critical thinking skills in the form of 6 item essay questions. The data analysis technique used independent sample t-test analysis. The results of the study based on descriptive analysis show that the average critical thinking skills of the RADEC learning model are 87.14 and the discovery learning learning model reaches 80.21. This means that the RADEC learning model is better than the discopery learning model, while the inferential analysis results show that the RADEC learning model assisted by the zoom cloud meeting application has a significant effect compared to the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes of class VI SDN Kalukuang 1 Makassar. . This is based on the independent sample t-test, the Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000 0.05. This means that the RADEC learning model is better than the discopery learning model, while the inferential analysis results show that the RADEC learning model assisted by the zoom cloud meeting application has a significant effect compared to the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes of class VI SDN Kalukuang 1 Makassar. . Abstract

Learning activities during the Covid-19 Pandemic must continue to target the achievement of 21st century skills that integrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes, as well as mastery of technology, information and communication, even in Pandemic conditions like today. Therefore, this study aims to determine how teachers plan, carry out learning and guidance as well as to find out the type of assessment carried out. The type of research method used in this research was qualitative descriptive. This study did not use population and samples. The sample in qualitative research is called a theoretical sample. The research instruments used were observation, interview, and documentation. The data was collected from primary and secondary data sources. While the data analysis technique used consisted of 3 stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data categorization. The results of this research showed that the teacher can design various learning plans in the form of assignments that can be done online, including video call, google class, zoom, or direct visits to students who did not have an internet network. In the assessment, the teacher could do it by making a journal or control card which was carried out by students while at home.

Abstract

Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Materi Gaya dan Gerak Melalui Penerapan Permainan Senapan gaya merupakan  sebuah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Tujuan Penelitian  ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan permainan Senapan Gaya pada siswa kelas VI SDN 10 Curup Timur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan permainan Senapan Gaya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI pada pelajaran IPA materi gaya dan gerak. Permainan senapan gaya digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran bagi siswa kelas VI SDN 10 Curup Timur karena dapat meningkatkan pemahaman  terhadap materi gaya dan gerak  serta memberikan suasana belajar yang rileks dan menyenangkan. Selain itu Hasil belajar meningkat dengan sangat signifikan, dimana ketuntasan hasil belajar individu meningkat dari 17 orang pada siklus I menjadi 27 orang pada siklus II. Rata-rata kelas meningkat dari 69,44 pada siklus I menjadi 82,00 pada siklus II.

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills include critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, and decision making. Therefore, the difficulty that is often felt by students in developing higher order thinking skills is the difficulty in solving problems and making decisions. This research was conducted to determine the students' higher order thinking ability in the subjects of Natural Sciences (IPA) in elementary schools. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach, namely to describe qualitative higher-order thinking skills. Data collection techniques using analysis of observations, interviews, and documentation of the results of the evaluation of science questions. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that students' high-order thinking skills in science subjects at SD Negeri 76 Palembang were included in the low category, from the evaluation results obtained an index of the percentage of students in three categories, namely, the good category was 10% with a frequency of 2 students , the less category was 20%. with a frequency of 4 students and a very poor category of 70% with a frequency of 70% of the overall HOTS indicators. So it can be concluded that students' higher-order thinking skills are still in the low category, so it needs to be further developed by strengthening students' understanding of higher-order thinking skills at levels C4 and C5. the good category was 10% with a frequency of 2 students, the less category was 20%. with a frequency of 4 students and a very poor category of 70% with a frequency of 70% of the overall HOTS indicators. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, yaitu jenis pre-Experimental Design. Desain ini belum merupakan eksperimen sungguh-sungguh karena masih terdapat variabel luar yang ikut berpengaruh terhadap terbentuknya variabel dependen.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi belajar reciprocal teaching terhadap kemampuan membaca pada siswa sekolah dasar. penelitian ini menggunakan desing penelitian One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, dengan subyek 22 siswa di SD Muhammadiyah Perumnas Makassar dan data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif.. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan rumus uji t. Tingkat persentase keberhasilan yang dicapai oleh siswa, yaitu hampir semua siswa (19 orang) memperoleh nilai di atas 70 (86,4%). Oleh karena thitung ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 0,05, maka hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternative (Ha) diterima yang berarti bahwa ada pengaruh dalam menerapkan strategi belajar reciprocal teaching terhadap kemampuan membaca Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa stragi belajar reciprocal teaching memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca pada siswa sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci : reciprocal teaching,  kemampuan membaca, aktivitas siswa. Abstract

This study aims to assess the effect of the question-card-assisted recitation method on the non-fiction text writing skills of fifth grade students. It is a quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The population of the study included all fifth-grade elementary schools in Cluster VII, Pallangga District, Gowa, South Sulawesi, which consisted of 4 schools. Two schools in the cluster were selected by purposive sampling. They were Parangabanoa Elementary School, consisting of 21 students, and Cambaya Elementary School, with 20 students. The first was assigned as the experimental class and the latter as the control class. A writing test was used to measure students' non-fiction writing skills. Descriptive analysis results showed that students' non-fiction text writing skills generally fell into a very poor category (80%) before the implementation of the method and moved to a very good category (90%) after the treatment. The hypothesis testing result was of sig 0.039 0.05, indicating that there was an effect of question card-assisted recitation method on the non-fiction writing skills of the fifth grade students in this study.

Abstract

AbstractRenewal of education in Indonesia is necessary to be aligned with the development of science and technology. Educational problems are changing attitude and conventional learning system in education. Primary School Teachers as the spearhead of the success of the education process in Indonesia. Therefore, teachers must be active and creative in finding and finding and developing education and teaching system so as to meet the students' needs optimally in the learning process. This study aims to involve students in learning to solve a problem relevant to the material or problems that exist around the students. The result is expected that students can gain a real learning experience. Students can also develop self-learning skills by seeking information through relevant sources to solve a problem related to the subject matter. The research method used is Nonequivalent Control Group Pretes-Postes Design. Conducted pretest before being treated, treatment results can be known more accurately because it can compare with the situation before being treated. This study shows that children's bad habits in learning have an impact on low learning achievement. Prior to complete treatment 48% of students. After doing the treatment by using Problem Based learning model has increased, to 86,96% of students who have above average learning achievement. Based on the research, the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can foster self-reliance in grade V elementary school students.Keywords: Problem Based Learning; Learning Independence. AbstrakPembaharuan pendidikan di Indonesia sangat diperlukan agar sejajar dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Permasalahan pendidikan yaitu mengubah sikap maupun sistem pembelajaran yang konvensional dalam pendidikan. Guru Sekolah Dasar sebagai ujung tombak keberhasilan proses pendidikan di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, guru harus aktif dan kreatif dalam mencari dan menemukan serta mengembangkan sistem pendidikan dan pengajaran sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan siswa secara optimal dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melibatkan siswa dalam belajar memecahkan suatu permasalahan yang relevan dengan materi atau permasalahan yang ada disekitar siswa. Hasilnya diharapkan siswa dapat memperoleh pengalaman belajar yang nyata. Siswa juga dapat mengembangkan kemampuan belajar mandiri dengan cara mencari informasi-informsi melalui sumber-sumber yang relevan untuk memecahkan suatu masalah yang berkaitan dengan materi pelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Pretes-Postes Design. Dilakukan pretest sebelum diberi perlakuan, hasil perlakuan dapat diketahui lebih akurat karena dapat membandingkan dengan keadaan sebelum diberi perlakuan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebiasaan buruk anak dalam belajar berdampak terhadap prestasi belajar yang rendah. Sebelum dilakukannya treatment siswa yang tuntas hanya 48%. Setelah dilakukannya treatment dengan menggunakan model Problem Based learning mengalami peningkatan, menjadi 86,96% siswa yang memiliki prestasi belajar diatas rata-rata. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar.Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning; Kemandirian Belajar.

Abstract

Quasi experimental design quantitative research was carried out and aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model assisted by Ice Breaking on the motivation and learning outcomes of students in class III Elementary School Sapanang Ward , Bungoro District , Pangkep Regency, collecting technical data using tests and questionnaires. A pretest as the initial result before being given treatment and at the end of the meeting given a post-test as a result of giving the treatment. Furthermore, the data obtained was analyzed using the SPSS v.26 application by looking for the results of the normality test, homogeneity test and Independent Sample t-Test to test the hypothesis. The average score obtained by students in the pretest control class was 68.12 and the posttest was 67.92. While the average score obtained by students in the pretest experimental class was 63.14 and the posttest was 80.68. The results of inferential data analysis obtained sig. 0.000. It turns out that the value of sign. 0.000 is smaller than the probability value of 0.05 or in other words the value of 0.05 0.000. Then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that the coefficient of data analysis is significant. So it can be interpreted that, there is an influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model assisted by Ice Breaking on the motivation to learn mathematics in class III elementary school students.
