Abstract

This community service program aims to address the digital and administrative limitations faced by TK Al-Mumtaza in Senggoro, Bengkalis, by developing a web-based school profile and an online student admission system (PPDB). Previously, the school lacked a digital footprint, and the registration process was conducted manually, leading to inefficiencies and scattered data. To solve these issues, the project applied the diffusion of technology through the development of a website using the Laravel framework and Tailwind CSS, executed via a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach. The implementation method included requirements analysis, system development, testing, deployment, and mentoring. The result of this service was a fully functional and publicly accessible website that successfully centralized the registration data into a secure database. The implementation significantly improved the efficiency of the admission process, allowing parents to register online from home, and broadened the school's promotional reach. In conclusion, the integration of a digital profile and automated PPDB system effectively modernized TK Al-Mumtaza's administrative workflow and information dissemination.

Abstract

One important component of children's mental health is emotional regulation, namely the ability to understand, control, and express emotions according to the demands of social situations. Children aged 6-8 years old still develop self-control and their coping mechanisms are immature, so they tend to express emotions spontaneously and impulsively. Children's inability to recognize and manage emotions affects the development of self-esteem, social relationships, and the formation of coping patterns. Children who lack adequate emotional regulation skills are at risk of experiencing maladaptive responses to stress. This activity aims to improve the emotional regulation skills of first-second and third-grade elementary school children through psychosocial-based education from a psychiatric nursing perspective. The methods used include simple lectures, educational games, interactive discussions, simulations, and hands-on practice, tailored to the children's characteristics. The results of the activity showed that participants were enthusiastic and actively participated in each session. After the activity, most students were able to name basic types of emotions, identify situations that trigger emotions, and explain how to express emotions appropriately. Participants were also able to practice simple emotional regulation techniques. This activity has a positive impact on increasing knowledge and skills in recognizing, expressing, and managing emotions adaptively. It is hoped that similar activities can be carried out continuously as a promotive and preventive effort to support children's mental health and social-emotional development.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) requires teachers to possess competencies in developing innovative, interactive, and engaging learning media that meet the needs of students in the digital era. However, the utilization of such technologies at SD Negeri Anjir Serapat Muara I.3 has not been fully optimized, despite the availability of supporting facilities such as Chromebooks and Belajar.id accounts integrated with Canva. This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ competencies in designing interactive educational game-based learning media using Canva and AI technologies. The implementation methods included lectures, discussions, demonstrations, workshops, mentoring, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed that teachers were able to utilize Canva’s interactive features, including hyperlinks, animations, and gamification elements, to develop various interactive learning media and educational games such as interactive quizzes, digital escape rooms, adventure quizzes, and digital mazes. In addition, teachers successfully utilized Canva AI, ChatGPT, and Gemini in the development process of learning media. Evaluation results indicated a significant increase in participants’ competency levels, from an average of 37.2% before the training to 87.2% after the training, with an average improvement of 55.2%. Therefore, the training and mentoring program proved effective in enhancing teachers’ competencies in developing creative, interactive, and technology-based learning media that are relevant to the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

The challenge of students' limited recognition of the significance of respecting and following their parents continues to be an issue in character education within educational institutions. This community service initiative was designed to improve students' comprehension of birrul walidain (filial piety) as per Islamic teachings through the Ramadan Boarding School Program at SMA Negeri 20 Surabaya. The initiative utilized lectures, engaging discussions, and question-and-answer sessions presented by university students with guidance from postgraduate instructors. More than 100 students participated in this activity, which lasted for a duration of 90 minutes. Findings indicated that students acquired a deeper insight into the significance of honoring, obeying, and exhibiting positive conduct towards their parents as a crucial component of moral development. The Ramadan Boarding School Program also proved to be a valuable educational platform for fostering moral and character values among the students. Furthermore, the program offered practical opportunities for university students to gain experience in academic communication and carry out community involvement efforts. Consequently, the Ramadan Boarding School Program successfully contributed to the internalization of birrul walidain values and reinforced character education among the students.

Abstract

The post-truth era has fundamentally altered how information circulates in Indonesian society, with hoaxes spreading six times faster than verified facts and political misinformation creating unprecedented social polarization. This community service program addresses the critical need for digital literacy and ideological reinforcement among cadres of Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PMII) Rayon Dakwah & Komunikasi. Drawing on the Aswaja (Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah values) of tawasuth (moderation), tawazun (balance), i'tidal (justice), and tasamuh (tolerance), the program trained 45 participants through a blended learning approach combining offline workshops and digital mentoring over eight weeks. Using participatory action research methodology, the program implemented three intervention stages: needs assessment, intensive training on hoax detection and verification, and niche-based action planning. Results demonstrated significant improvements in participants' digital literacy scores (mean increase of 42%, p<0.01) and self-reported capacity to apply Aswaja principles in social media interactions. Participants successfully launched seven community-driven anti-hoax initiatives across their respective communities, including fact-checking WhatsApp groups and digital da'wah content creation. The program concludes that integrating spiritual values with technical digital skills offers a sustainable model for building cadre resilience in the post-truth era.

Abstract

The target group for this activity is women attending religious study groups, who play a crucial role in household financial management. Based on initial observations, it was found that most participants still lacked an understanding of the various types of financial institutions and were unable to select one that best suited their household needs. Furthermore, their understanding of financial products such as savings, credit, insurance, and investments was also limited. This situation has the potential to lead to errors in financial decision-making and even increase the risk of becoming trapped in illegal financial institutions. To address these issues, the PKM team offered a solution through training activities. The implementation methods included counseling, training, discussions, and financial decision-making simulations. The material presented included an introduction to formal and informal financial institutions, how to choose a trustworthy financial institution, and effective household financial management strategies. With this approach, it is hoped that participants will not only understand the theory but also be able to apply it in their daily lives. The expected outcomes of this activity are increased financial literacy among women attending religious study groups, the ability to choose the right financial institution, and the creation of wiser and more planned household financial management. Thus, this activity is expected to have a positive impact on family economic well-being and reduce the risk of financial problems in the community.

Abstract

This community service activity is part of the Collaborative Program of Safin Pati University 2025 in Guyangan Village, Trangkil District, Pati Regency. Two priority programs were implemented for elementary school students: anti-bullying socialization and Microsoft Word training. The aims were to raise students' awareness of bullying behaviors and to improve digital literacy through word processing skills. Methods employed included interactive counseling, group discussion, case studies, and hands-on mentored practice. Anti-bullying socialization was conducted on August 23, 2025, involving 5th and 6th grade students of Guyangan Elementary School. Microsoft Word training was held on August 22, 2025 with the same student cohort. Results indicate improved student understanding of bullying types, prevention strategies, and basic document creation skills using Microsoft Word. Participants responded with high enthusiasm, though challenges included limited computer devices and varying prior skill levels. The program made a meaningful contribution to positive character development and early digital literacy among students.
