Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), NonPerforming Financing (NPF), Operating Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks for the period 2019–2023. A quantitative approach is used, using secondary data sourced from the annual financial reports of 12 Islamic banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The research findings reveal that CAR has a significant positive effect on ROA, indicating that higher capital buffers increase profitability. Conversely, NPF has a negative impact on ROA, highlighting the adverse impact of credit risk on bank performance. BOPO has a significant negative impact on ROA, emphasizing the importance of operational efficiency in increasing profitability. FDR shows a positive and significant relationship with ROA. These findings provide practical insights for bank management and regulators to improve operational efficiency and credit quality, which ultimately supports the sustainable growth of Islamic banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

Human resources (HR) is a major factor in achieving organizational goals, and investment in training and leadership development is a crucial aspect in improving individual competence and organizational effectiveness. This study aims to deeply analyze the effect of training and leadership development on organizational productivity of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics, Islamic University of Jakarta (BEM FE UIJ). Using a quantitative approach, this study involved 32 respondents consisting of members of BEM FE UIJ. Data were collected through a survey using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques using SPSS 25 software. The results showed that training has a positive and significant influence on organizational productivity (Sig. 0.008 <0.05), which indicates that a systematically structured training program can improve the skills and work effectiveness of organizational members. Meanwhile, leadership development also contributes positively to productivity, although it is not statistically significant (Sig. 0.078 > 0.05). Regression analysis shows that training and leadership development simultaneously have a significant influence on organizational productivity, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 52.9%. This suggests that the two variables are able to explain most of the variability in productivity in organizations. Structured training effectively improves competencies, and leadership development adds value. This study underscores the importance of investing in training and leadership development to improve the performance of student organizations.

Abstract

Mass media plays a significant roIe in shaping pubIic opinion by constructing reaIity through news framing. This study aims to analyze how Detik.com and Sindonews.com frame the symbolism of the "Putra Mulyono" vest worn by Kaesang during his public appearances. Using Robert N. Entman's framing model and a qualitative constructivist approach, the study examines news articles and identifies differences in the narratives constructed by the two media outlets. Detik.com tends to present a positive narrative about Kaesang, emphasizing his creativity and humor in responding to criticism. Conversely, Sindonews.com frames the act critically, portraying it as a symbol of the arrogance of the ruling family. These differences highlight how media ideologies influence news narratives, affecting public perceptions and political discourse.
