Abstract

The Quran “waqf’ (endowment) program is a form of community empowerment aimed at fostering a culture of Quran reading while strengthening religious life. In Sukarendah Village, Warunggunung District, Lebak Regency, there is a limited supply of Quran copies in mosques, prayer rooms (musala), and Quran Education Centers (TPQ), which impacts the community's interest in and frequency of reading the Quran. This community service initiative aims to improve public access to the Quran and cultivate a sustainable habit of reading it. The implementation employs a participatory approach involving needs assessment, coordination with village officials and religious leaders, the collection and distribution of Quran endowments, raising awareness about the importance of Quranic literacy, and providing guidance for *tadarus* (communal Quran recitation) activities. The results demonstrate increased Quran availability in places of worship and TPQs, greater community participation in Quran reading activities, and a rise in social consciousness through the endowment movement. The program also reinforces the role of the mosque as a hub for religious guidance and community education. Thus, the Quran “waqf” program has proven to be an effective community empowerment strategy for enhancing the culture of Quran reading and strengthening religious values and social cohesion in Sukarendah Village.

Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing cases of rights violations and exploitation against Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Cambodia during 2023–2025, revealing a gap between legal norms and their implementation. It aims to analyze the forms of legal protection and law enforcement efforts for PMI victims of rights violations and exploitation in Cambodia. A qualitative method with a juridical-empirical approach was applied through interviews and document studies of BP3MI Banten and Satreskrim Polresta Bandara Soekarno-Hatta data, analyzed descriptively-analytically. Results show that Law Number 18 of 2017 regulates protection before, during, and after employment, yet implementation remains suboptimal due to weak supervision and high non-procedural migration. Legal handling remains curative through repatriation, without addressing illegal recruitment networks. Strengthened preventive policy and bilateral cooperation are needed.

Abstract

The increasing competition in the premium motorcycle industry is encouraging manufacturers to understand the factors that influence Consumer Satisfaction, especially for products that serve not only as a means of transportation but also as a Lifestyle symbol. Research on the influence of Lifestyle on Consumer Satisfaction still shows mixed results, particularly considering the role of Perceived Value as a moderating variable. This study aims to analyze the influence of Lifestyle on Consumer Satisfaction and examine the role of Perceived Value in strengthening this relationship among Vespa Matic users in Cimahi City. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 115 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the help of SPSS version 27. The results show that Lifestyle and Perceived Value have a positive and significant effect on Consumer Satisfaction. Furthermore, Perceived Value has been shown to strengthen the influence of Lifestyle on Consumer Satisfaction, as indicated by an increase in the coefficient of determination from 25.7% to 55.5%. These findings indicate that increasing consumer Perceived Value can strengthen the influence of Lifestyle in creating Consumer Satisfaction and provide implications for companies in developing marketing strategies that are oriented towards Lifestyle and creating value for consumers

Abstract

The implementation of academic information systems plays an important role in improving educational administration. One such system is e-Rapor, which supports student assessment, report card generation, and academic data management. However, challenges related to system quality, information quality, and user satisfaction may affect its effectiveness. This study aims to examine the effects of System Quality and Information Quality on User Satisfaction, as well as the effect of User Satisfaction on the Effectiveness of Academic Management in the implementation of e-Rapor at Pasundan Jatinangor Vocational High School. A quantitative survey was conducted involving teachers, homeroom teachers, the e-Rapor operator, and the vice principal for curriculum. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that System Quality and Information Quality significantly influence User Satisfaction, with Information Quality having the strongest effect. In addition, User Satisfaction significantly improves the Effectiveness of Academic Management. The novelty of this study lies in extending the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model by operationalizing Net Benefit as Effectiveness of Academic Management, providing a more context-specific framework for evaluating educational information systems in vocational schools.

Abstract

Sustainable teacher professional development requires school-based organizational mechanisms that enable continuous collaboration, reflection, and professional learning. This study aimed to analyze the management of the SeBAIK CANDA Professional Learning Community (PLC) in supporting sustainable teacher professional development at an Indonesian elementary school. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed at SD Negeri Candirejo 02 Ungaran Barat, Semarang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Ten participants were purposively selected, comprising one principal, seven classroom teachers, and two learning community coordinators. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using inductive thematic analysis adapted from the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. Research credibility was strengthened through source and technique triangulation, member checking, and an audit trail. The findings revealed five interconnected dimensions of sustainable PLC management: structured planning and organization, collaborative and reflective professional learning, supportive school leadership, continuous evaluation and follow-up, and adaptive organizational support. Professional discussions, peer feedback, experience sharing, classroom-based reflection, and follow-up activities strengthened collective responsibility for teacher learning and connected professional development with instructional practice. Although limited time, administrative workload, scheduling conflicts, and differences in professional readiness constrained program continuity, teacher commitment and flexible communication supported sustained professional interaction. The study proposes a sustainable PLC management framework that positions professional learning communities as organizational systems for continuous, collaborative, reflective, and school-embedded teacher professional development.

Abstract

Most classroom assessments of Indonesian-language proficiency still rely on a single outcome measure—whether the selected answer is correct or incorrect while largely overlooking how a learner's attention moves before arriving at that answer. This study aims to identify and compare eye-gaze scanpath patterns between high- and low-performing learners across three Indonesian-language task types: interpreting figurative language (majas), extracting the gist of a short reading passage, and applying spelling and punctuation conventions (Ejaan yang Disempurnakan/EYD). The goal is to reveal how cognitive load manifests differently across these task types. Unlike most prior eye-gaze research that treats cognitive load as a single, undifferentiated construct, this study tests the hypothesis that cognitive load varies systematically with the underlying language skill being exercised: figurative-language tasks emphasize semantic inference, reading comprehension emphasizes main-idea extraction, and orthography tasks emphasize rule-checking. To this end, gaze heatmap data were collected via real-time eye-movement recording through each participant's webcam while they completed the three tasks on an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) application. The article concludes by discussing the implications of this task-sensitive approach for designing an adaptive, AI-assisted Intelligent Tutoring System capable of responding to cognitive load in a task-specific manner.

Abstract

Hypertension is a global health problem and a leading cause of cardiovascular morbidity and premature death. Its risk is influenced by various factors, including age, general obesity, and central obesity. Body Mass Index (BMI) reflects general obesity, while the Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR) indicates body fat distribution or central obesity. However, simple, practical, and applicable models for predicting hypertension risk in primary health care remain limited. This study aims to analyze the effects of age, BMI, and WHR on hypertension incidence and to develop a prediction model for hypertension risk among adult patients at the Wonokasian Community Health Center in Sidoarjo Regency. This analytical observational study employed a cross-sectional design involving 411 adult patients. Data collected included respondent characteristics and anthropometric measurements such as body weight, height, BMI, waist circumference, hip circumference, WHR, and blood pressure. Data analysis was performed using bivariate tests and binary logistic regression. Model performance was evaluated using the Hosmer-Lemeshow test, the Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve (AUC-ROC), sensitivity, and specificity. The results indicate that age, BMI, and WHR significantly influence the incidence of hypertension in adult patients. The prediction model based on these variables performs quite well and has the potential to serve as a simple, practical, non-invasive, and applicable tool for initial hypertension risk screening in primary health care.
