Abstract

In this digital era, programming skills are fundamental, but high school curriculums often do not accommodate this need in depth. Realizing this gap, a Community Service activity entitled "Introduction to the World of Coding: Basic Programming Training for Students of SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya" was carried out. This training aims to equip students with basic programming knowledge and skills to prepare them for digital challenges. The implementation method is divided into three stages: pre-implementation, implementation, and evaluation. The pre-implementation stage includes identifying partner needs, formulating materials (Python as a programming language), and preparing a schedule of four meetings in November-December 2024. The implementation was carried out offline with an interactive direct instruction method, including material explanations, direct practice, discussions, and assignments. The evaluation results showed the effectiveness of the training. Based on the satisfaction questionnaire using the Likert scale (Parasuraman), the overall average reached 4.76 (out of 5), indicating that participants strongly agreed with the implementation of the training. The aspects of reliability (4.83) and responsiveness (4.80) received the highest scores. This shows that this basic programming training has succeeded in increasing the interest and insight of students of SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya in the world of coding.

Abstract

This Brevet A and B training program aimed to enhance participants' competence in understanding and fulfilling taxation obligations, both in theory and practice. The training was held over nearly four months and involved 76 participants from diverse backgrounds, including university students, MSME actors, and finance staff. The methods used included lectures, discussions, case studies, and hands-on SPT filing using the e-Filing platform. Evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, with average scores increasing from 58.2 to 85.6. A total of 96% of participants reported the ability to independently file taxes, and over 85% understood tax classification and income tax calculation. Other outcomes included increased tax compliance awareness and readiness for professional challenges. Technical and non-technical constraints were addressed through adaptive and responsive strategies. This training has proven to be an effective and replicable model for applied tax empowerment.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the quality of selecting the best Qur’an memorization students at Masjid Jami’ Al-Karomah through the implementation of a web-based Decision Support System (DSS). The system was designed using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to support objective and measurable assessment processes. The training was delivered directly to Ustadz, Ustadzah, and mosque leaders, covering system login, student data input, score matrix entry, and interpretation of memorization reports. Evaluation results indicated a high level of participant satisfaction: 93.7% enjoyed the training, 92.7% found the materials useful, and 94.7% agreed that the DSS improves the quality of students’ Qur’an memorization. The system significantly assists in streamlining the selection process and encourages students to be more motivated in memorizing. This activity demonstrates that the use of information technology can make a real contribution to improving the governance of community-based religious education.

Abstract

The spread of hoaxes among students has become a serious issue in the digital era, particularly due to the low level of digital literacy among adolescents. This community service activity aimed to raise awareness among students of SMAN 36 Jakarta about the dangers of hoaxes through education and digital literacy training. The methods used in this program included socialization, interactive discussions, and the creation of digital campaigns in the form of posters and educational videos by the students. The results showed that students became more critical in receiving and sharing information, as well as more capable of identifying characteristics of hoaxes. However, challenges such as uneven student participation and limited digital access were still encountered. Therefore, follow-up programs, parental involvement, and school policies are needed to support the development of a sustainable digital literacy culture. This activity proves that an educational approach based on digital literacy can serve as a preventive solution to hoax dissemination within the school environment.

Abstract

Comprehension of business models is fundamental for the effective design and development of new ventures, particularly for students beginning to explore entrepreneurship. This community service program aimed to equip students of SMA Kristen Pringadi with the skills to develop business models using the (BMC) Business Model Canvas framework. The training was implemented in three stages: preparation, execution, and evaluation. In addition to introducing the BMC framework, the training also presented the eight types of e-business models developed by Peter Weill and Michael R. Vitale as a conceptual foundation. The effectiveness of the training was assessed by comparing the results of pre-tests and post-tests. Of the 18 participants, 9 students (50%) demonstrated improvement, 7 students (38.9%) maintained the same scores, and 2 students (11.1%) showed no improvement. These findings suggest that the training had a positive impact on most participants' understanding of business model design. It is hoped that this activity will serve as an initial step in cultivating entrepreneurial interest and competence among high school students.

Abstract

Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS) training is one of the solutions to enhance digital literacy among educational staff, especially in government institutions engaged in the field of education. This activity is carried out by Universitas Dinamika in collaboration with DPD PPGI East Java and the Ministry of Education of Timor Leste, as a form of community service aimed at enhancing human resource capacity in the era of digital transformation. The main objective of this activity is to equip the staff of the Timor Leste Ministry of Education with technical knowledge and skills in using the Moodle LMS, ranging from user account management, lesson material preparation, to the use of evaluation features and interactive forums. The implementation method of the activity includes a 6-hour hands-on face-to-face training, supported by digital training modules and the internal LMS system of Universitas Dinamika, MyBrilian. Evaluation was conducted using a qualitative approach through observation and participant satisfaction questionnaires. The results show a change in attitude towards the use of technology in supporting their work. This activity has an impact on increasing participants' digital readiness, strengthening institutional capacity in e-learning implementation, and opening up opportunities for sustainable international collaboration. Universitas Dinamika, through this activity, plays a role in strengthening digital literacy in the regional area and makes a tangible contribution in the field of educational technology.

Abstract

This Community Service provides a deeper understanding of the Management and the ranks of teaching staff and employees in the Green School environment, under the auspices of the Kulkul Foundation. The problem faced is maintaining the sustainability of the green environment in a climate change situation as well as the use of surrounding natural resources for environmentally friendly energy. Based on the problems faced by the Kulkul Foundation, the Applied Doctoral Program in Tourism Business of the Institute of Tourism and International Business, through the Post-Director provides knowledge to overcome the problems faced. The purpose of this Community Service is to improve the ability and knowledge of all ranks of Green Schools in maintaining and managing the green environment in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi hukum ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan menumbuhkan kesadaran kritis pemilih pemula di SMA Negeri 10 Kendari mengenai hak pilih sebagai hak fundamental dalam pemilihan umum termasuk pada pemilihan kepala daerah. Pemilih pemula memiliki peran strategis dalam menentukan arah demokrasi Indonesia, namun seringkali menghadapi tantangan seperti kurangnya pengetahuan tentang proses pemilu dan kerentanan terhadap manipulasi politik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan sosialisasi melalui ceramah dan diskusi interaktif, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta sosialisasi. Sosialisasi ini tidak hanya berhasil mengedukasi siswa tentang hak dan tanggung jawab mereka sebagai pemilih, tetapi juga mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam proses demokrasi. Diharapkan, kegiatan ini dapat menjadi model untuk meningkatkan kesadaran politik pemilih pemula di wilayah lain.

Abstract

Kesehatan balita merupakan aspek penting dalam pembangunan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Masa balita (0–5 tahun) adalah periode emas (golden age) yang menentukan perkembangan fisik, kognitif, dan emosional anak. Oleh karena itu, pemenuhan gizi yang optimal sangat diperlukan untuk menunjang tumbuh kembang balita secara menyeluruh. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan status gizi balita adalah melalui edukasi gizi berbasis pangan lokal. Kacang hijau merupakan salah satu pangan lokal yang memiliki kandungan protein nabati tinggi, serta kaya akan serat, vitamin B kompleks, zat besi, kalsium, dan antioksidan yang sangat bermanfaat untuk kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu balita di Desa Danau Usung mengenai manfaat kacang hijau sebagai makanan tambahan bergizi. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari penyuluhan gizi, diskusi interaktif mengenai pengolahan makanan berbasis kacang hijau, dan pembagian leaflet informatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta mengenai kandungan nutrisi kacang hijau dan manfaatnya bagi tumbuh kembang anak. Abstract

Instalasi Gawat Darurat (IGD) merupakan unit pelayanan pertama yang menangani pasien dalam kondisi darurat dan menjadi pintu masuk utama menuju perawatan lanjutan seperti rawat inap. Namun, masih banyak masyarakat yang belum memahami alur pendaftaran pasien dari IGD ke ruang rawat inap, yang menyebabkan keterlambatan pelayanan dan potensi kesalahpahaman. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi mengenai prosedur tersebut agar masyarakat lebih siap dan kooperatif dalam mengikuti proses administrasi rumah sakit. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di RS Bina Kasih Medan dengan melibatkan 22 orang responden. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi visual, leaflet, diskusi interaktif, serta pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta, dari 27% yang memahami alur dengan baik sebelum kegiatan, meningkat menjadi 81% setelah sosialisasi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi langsung yang sistematis dapat meningkatkan literasi kesehatan administratif masyarakat. Kegiatan ini juga menjadi refleksi penting bagi pihak rumah sakit dalam memperbaiki sistem komunikasi informasi pasien.
