Abstract

The objectives of study were meant to perceive the impact of videotext on reading fluency over MALL in remote area student. Nonetheless, the writing is moderately simulating the concurrences with the impacts of videotext, drained of any current methodology investigating the impacts of videotext as a part to small participants reading intercessions. Methods were quasi-experimental, non-randomized pre-test and post-test design with 60 students over remote areas and interview case study plan as testimonial with six pseudonyms contributors. along with comparation of two intercession correspondences to one another. Well-separated of all participants scores mark. Findings demonstrated moderate to effective impacts for the two intercessions across all members, with little distinction betwixt the two instruments. Conclusion the established hypothesis has been accepted. Keywords: videotext, mobile assisted language learning, reading fluency, remote area.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202225

Abstract

The Effect of Learning Environment and Vocabulary Mastery on Chinese Speaking Skill. Communication is considered one of the human needs, which is pivotal in social interaction. In communicating, the use of language is necessary to understand each other. For students of the Chinese Language Education Department, Universitas Tanjungpura, Indonesia speaking Chinese is encouraged. However, low levels of Chinese speaking skills become the obstacles to speaking the language. In addition, the lack of discipline in learning the language and mastery of Chinese vocabulary were the main problems that students have. Therefore, it was necessary to conduct research on vocabulary mastery and students' Chinese speaking skills. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method and a questionnaire with a Likert scale calculation as a data collection method. The data processing and data analysis used a qualitative interactive model consisting of three stages; data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results revealed that the students' Chinese language skills were still very low. The highest score of HSK was at intermediate level 3 with a percentage of 25% and intermediate level 4 with a percentage of 43%. For HSKK speaking skills, students' skills were only at the basic level of 44% and 56%. From this research, it can be concluded that the low ability of students to speak Chinese was the result of the influence of the internal and external factors of students where the discipline of using the language was still very low. Furthermore, the influence of the family and community environment was also one of the factors that greatly affected students' learning. Keywords: learning environment’s influence, vocabulary mastery, chinese speaking skills.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i2.202218

Abstract

The Relationship Between Self-Efficacy, Self-Development, And Human Resource Competence With Innovative Organizations In Higher Education. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-development, self-efficacy, and human resource (HR) competence in fostering innovation within organizations. Methods: To address this issue, this research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire. The analysis model applied is path analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), with respondents comprising program heads, lecturers, and educational staff at higher education institutions, totaling 350 individuals. Findings: The results indicate that there is no significant collective influence of all variables on organizational innovation. However, each variable plays a distinct role in shaping innovation. Self-efficacy directly influences organizational innovation, while self-development contributes to innovation only when strongly linked with HR competence. This suggests that fostering a highly innovative organization requires strengthening self-efficacy alongside improving self-development and HR competence. Conclusion: To enhance organizational productivity and innovation, it is crucial to first improve self-efficacy and self-development among lecturers and educational staff. Strengthening these aspects will enhance lecturer competence, which directly impacts the organization's capacity to innovate. Organizations should prioritize initiatives that support professional growth and self-efficacy to create a more sustainable and innovative environment. Keywords: self-efficacy, self-development, human resource competence, innovative organizations.
