Abstract

The Mother-Child Relationship in Efforts to Form Spiritual Intelligence in Divorce Families. This study aims to determine and analyze the relationship between mothers and children to build spiritual intelligence in divorced families at SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan in Sleman, Yogyakarta. In addition, this study seeks to understand the dynamics of mother-child relationships that arise from divorced families and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting these relationships in efforts to enhance spiritual intelligence. The research approach employed is a phenomenological study. The research subjects were determined by the researcher and a teacher at the school, along with recommendations from other teachers and staff at SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Data was collected using techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data will then be analyzed using phenomenological data analysis techniques. The results indicated that a strong relationship between mothers and children, despite coming from a divorced family, can foster positive spiritual intelligence in children, as evidenced by the positive behaviors of the three mother-child pairs recognized by the school environment and community, despite their circumstances. Various efforts must be made to cultivate a positive relationship between mothers and children, particularly in establishing healthy communication. The supporting factors for the mother-child relationship in developing children's spiritual intelligence in divorced families include the mother's role, the child's condition, and the school environment. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors consist of the relationship between parents after divorce and public perceptions of divorced families. Keywords: mother-child relationship, spiritual intelligence, divorced family.

Abstract

The objective of this research departs from the assumption that citizen participation can maintain democracy in the atmosphere of a country. This study aims to find out how to conceptualize citizen participation in the digital era with a focus on Ahmad Dahlan University students, Yogyakarta. This research uses mixed methods. The location of the study was at Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta. In data collection, the researcher provided online questionnaire by using Google Form and process the data by using SPSS 24 programs. The results of the study revealed that 1) students at Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta had experience as citizen engagement through several individual and group dimensions. 2) Most of the informants stated that the fulfillment of the rights and obligations of citizens needs to be realized in a structured format. Informants revealed that the lack of citizenship literacy can affect the pattern of involvement as citizens. 3) The experience of student participation at Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta is expected to be able to increase civic intelligence, so that the pattern of participation can be associated with several components in the realization of intelligent and good citizens. This study concludes that student participation culture is influenced by civic literacy, information literacy, self-awareness, and participation alone, but there are also some students who are enthusiastic about following the civic context, but some are passive and only participate. The existence of inequality in participation as a citizen is an indication that there is an ongoing task of Civics to nationalize citizens. Keywords: culture of communication, university student, participation, citizen.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i2.202241

Abstract

Online Learning Satisfaction in Philippine Higher Education; A structural equation modeling. Philippine higher education institutions have utilized online learning to improve instructional delivery. Several studies have demonstrated that online education can be as effective as traditional classroom models. However, only a few studies ventured toward investigating learner satisfaction in the areas of motivation, school climate, and online learning self-efficacy, which provides a different perspective on assessing online learning delivery. A cross-sectional survey evaluating 580 valid responses addressed this gap. Motivation, school climate, and online learning self- efficacy predicted online learning satisfaction. The study examined five hypothesized paths using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling. Results highlight the positive impact of motivation, school climate, and online learning self-efficacy on online learning satisfaction. This study shows that online learning satisfaction depends on motivation, school climate, and self-efficacy. Therefore, educational institutions and educators should create an encouraging virtual learning environment to ensure students' satisfaction and overall achievement in online education. Keywords: online learning satisfaction, motivation, school climate, online learning self-efficacy, partial least squares -structural equation modeling.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i3.202337

Abstract

Meta-Analysis : The Correlation between Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement. Until now, there have been many studies related to the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement; However, there are different representations or conclusions regarding the research results. Therefore, this study aims to thoroughly determine the effect of emotional intelligence and academic achievement using a meta-analysis approach. This study analyzed 20 Scupus indexed studies with a sample of 5737 people. To support the accuracy of the analysis results, JASP software is used. The results of the study found that the combined effect size values generated using the random-effect model estimation were (M=0.29) with a standard error (SEM=0.08). This effect size belongs to the small effect category. These findings provide a solid theoretical foundation to improve students’ academic achievement in the future. Keywords: Academic Achievement, Emotional Intelligence, Meta-Analisys.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v11.i3.202102
