Civic education (PKn) plays a strategic role in shaping civil awareness and democratic values among the younger generation, particularly Generation Z, who were born in the digital era. However, the proliferation of cyber radicalism through social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter has emerged as a serious threat, where extremist narratives spread rapidly and influence the mindset of vulnerable adolescents exposed to misinformation. This study conducts a critical analysis of the role of civic education in preventing cyber radicalism among Gen Z, focusing on curriculum, teaching methods, and the integration of digital literacy. Employing a qualitative approach based on Jürgen Habermas's critical theory of communication and the digital public sphere, this study critiques the weaknesses of the current education system, which remains insufficiently adaptive to cyber dynamics, such as the lack of empirically based anti-radicalism modules. Key findings indicate that innovative civic education, including project-based approaches and collaborations with digital platforms, can enhance the ideological resilience of Gen Z against radical propaganda, with an effectiveness rate of up to 70% based on case studies in Indonesian schools. However, challenges such as uneven internet access and cultural resistance must be addressed through national policies. This research recommends curriculum reforms in civic education to integrate cyber anti-radicalism education as an integral part of fostering critical and inclusive citizens.

Civics Education (PKn) plays a crucial role in shaping citizens' political and social awareness, particularly amidst the challenges of increasingly sharp political polarization. This polarization often exacerbates social fragmentation and threatens societal integration in digital democracy. As the development of digital technology expands the public space for political discussion, it is crucial to explore how PKn can serve as an instrument for strengthening civic unity. This study aims to analyze the challenges faced by civics education in building unity amidst political polarization and to formulate strategies that can be implemented in the context of digital democracy. The results indicate that integrating technology-based approaches, developing critical thinking skills, and instilling the values of tolerance and constructive dialogue are effective strategies for strengthening civic unity. In conclusion, civics education that adapts to digital developments can be a solution to address the negative impacts of political polarization.

Abstract: Civic education not only serves to strengthen national identity but also functions as a means of shaping citizens’ ethics and responsibility in the digital era. Therefore, integrating civic values into the digital curriculum is an important step toward fostering a culture of personal data protection among university students. This study aims to analyze the influence of civic education on students’ awareness of personal data protection in the digital space. The growing intensity of students’ online activities has made personal data increasingly vulnerable to misuse, while privacy awareness remains relatively low. Civic education is considered to play a strategic role in fostering values of responsibility, ethics, and understanding of citizens’ rights and obligations, including in the digital context. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis, and then examined using thematic analysis techniques. The research subjects were active university students from various faculties who had completed the civic education course and actively used digital platforms. The findings reveal that civic education has a positive influence on students’ awareness of personal data protection. Digital literacy serves as the main mediating factor that strengthens this relationship, while digital social norms also have an effect, although to a lesser extent. Furthermore, differences were found in the level of awareness between students from technology-related and non-technology-related majors. Overall, this study emphasizes that data privacy issues should be integrated into the civic education curriculum to cultivate a generation of students who are critical, aware, and responsible in protecting their personal data in the digital era.

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has profoundly transformed various aspects of human life but also presents complex ethical, legal, and social challenges. As a nation founded on Pancasila, Indonesia must ensure that AI regulation is not merely technical but also aligned with its foundational values. This study aims to conceptually and argumentatively analyze the integration of Pancasila principles into AI regulation in Indonesia, identify existing challenges, and propose a relevant regulatory framework. The research employs a normative-philosophical literature review approach, drawing from both national and international sources. The findings reveal that Indonesia’s current AI regulations remain fragmented and fail to comprehensively address ethical dimensions. Four major challenges were identified: legal gaps, algorithmic bias, privacy violations, and low digital literacy. Integrating Pancasila values into five dimensions — normative, juridical, technical, institutional, and social — can provide a foundation for fair, inclusive, and sovereign AI governance. The study concludes that Pancasila plays a crucial role in guiding AI governance to not only advance technology but also strengthen social justice and humanity.

National economic development is a key pillar in realizing the welfare of the Indonesian people. However, in its implementation, economic development often ignores the fundamental values embodied in Pancasila. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of national economic development programs by reviewing their alignment with Pancasila values, particularly in terms of social justice, unity, and humanity. The method used was a qualitative approach with document studies and in-depth interviews with stakeholders at the central and regional levels. The evaluation results indicate that some development programs align with Pancasila values, particularly in efforts to empower the people's economy and reduce inequality. However, a number of programs were also found to not reflect the principles of justice and equal participation. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of explicitly integrating Pancasila values into the planning, implementation, and evaluation of national economic policies to ensure inclusive and sustainable development.

The people's economy is an economic model that positions the people as both subjects and objects of development, based on the values of mutual cooperation and togetherness as reflected in Pancasila. This study aims to analyze the role and policies of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in strengthening the people's economy based on Pancasila. The research method uses a qualitative approach with literature study of various policy documents and official reports. The results show that the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs has coordinated various strategic policies such as facilitation of People's Business Credit (KUR), development of entrepreneurial ecosystems, and integration of MSMEs with the digital economy. The implementation of these policies still faces challenges such as disparities in regional capacity and cross-sectoral coordination. This article concludes that the internalization of Pancasila values in people's economic policies is evident, but strengthening synergy across ministries/agencies is needed to ensure the policy benefits are truly felt by all layers of society.

This study aims to analyze the role of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (Kemenko Perekonomian) in empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on the principles of Pancasila economics. MSMEs are the backbone of the Indonesian economy, but still face limited access to financing, technology, and markets. The principles of Pancasila economics emphasize social justice, economic democracy, and shared prosperity, making them relevant as a basis for MSME empowerment. The research method uses a qualitative-descriptive approach through literature studies, policy analysis, and in-depth interviews with stakeholders. The results show that the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs plays a strategic role in cross-ministerial coordination to provide inclusive financing access, MSME digitalization, and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem. However, obstacles were identified in the form of complex bureaucracy, suboptimal inter-agency coordination, and limited monitoring. The study's conclusion confirms that strengthening the role of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs is crucial to ensure MSME empowerment aligns with Pancasila values. This study provides academic contributions by expanding the literature on Pancasila economics and the government's coordinating role, as well as practical contributions in the form of policy recommendations for inclusive and sustainable MSME empowerment.
