Abstract

Abstract The determination of the beginning of the Hijri month occurs in the Islamic world, particularly concerning the use of the methods of hisab (astronomical calculation) and rukyah (direct observation). This difference is not only technical but also rooted in the various Islamic schools of thought (madhabs), which have different approaches to sources of law and epistemology. This study aims to critically examine the differences among the madhabs in determining the beginning of the Hijri month by reviewing the methods of hisab (astronomical calculation) and rukyah (direct observation). The approach used is qualitative with a literature review method on relevant primary and secondary sources. The research findings indicate that the Shafi'i and Hanbali madhabs tend to prioritize rukyah as the main method, while the Hanafi and Maliki madhabs are more flexible in accepting hisab under certain conditions. On the other hand, this difference also has implications for religious decisions in various Muslim countries that have different policies in determining the beginning of the Hijri month. In addition to the fiqh aspect, this study also highlights how the development of astronomical technology plays a role in reconciling these two approaches.As an implication, this research proposes the need for more intensive dialogue and consultation among scholars from different madhabs to find a common ground and solutions that can be accepted by all Muslims. The study also emphasizes the importance of developing a more accurate and integrated Hijri calendar system, utilizing advancements in science and technology. In conclusion, while differences remain, a more inclusive and integrative approach is needed so that Muslims can reach a broader agreement on determining the beginning of the Hijri month without neglecting both the sharia and scientific aspects.

Abstract

The Hutumuri Bridge Construction Project in Leitimur Selatan District, Ambon City has a budget of 2,333,110,000.00 with a planned implementation time of 120 calendar days in 2022. In the Hutumuri Bridge Construction Project Package II, in its implementation there were problems that arose in the implementation of this project, namely a decrease in heavy equipment work productivity influenced by the condition of the equipment, weather and terrain, ineffective use of heavy equipment, where during excavation work, the heavy equipment used at the project location, namely the excavator, was damaged due to the terrain and weather, as a result the bolts on the heavy equipment rusted and broke. The purpose of this study was to determine the production capacity, determine the time needed, and obtain the rental costs for excavators and dump trucks for the Hutumuri Bridge Construction Project in Leitimur Selatan District, Ambon City. The data collection method used by the author in this study is the Observation Method, the author conducted a field survey on the Project that was the object of the study, to obtain primary data in the form of documentation photos, and secondary data in the form of heavy equipment specifications, work drawings, time schedules. Based on the results of the calculation of the Productivity of the Use of Excavator and Dump Truck Heavy Equipment on the Hutumuri Bridge Construction Project, South Leitimur District, Ambon City, the productivity value of the PC 200 excavator heavy equipment was 14.56 m3 / hour and the dump truck was 5.47 m3 / hour on the Hutumuri Bridge Construction Project, South Leitimur District, Ambon City, the total time required for the excavator heavy equipment was 2.51 m3 / hour and the dump truck was 6.68 m3 / hour, and the rental cost for the excavator heavy equipment was Rp. 126,257.00 / hour and the dump truck was Rp. 566,859.00 / hour.

Abstract

This article explores the integration of Pixton, a digital comic creation platform, with deep learning principles to enhance descriptive writing skills in German among Indonesian high school students. The study addresses the persistent challenges of low motivation and limited proficiency in descriptive writing by developing and implementing a Pixton-based teaching module grounded in mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning. Employing a conceptual and case study approach, the research involved needs analysis, module design using the ADDIE model, classroom implementation with 12th-grade students at SMAN 1 Driyorejo Gresik, and qualitative evaluation through observations, interviews, and reflections. Results indicate that the module increased student engagement, creativity, and collaboration, as well as improved vocabulary and sentence structure in German writing. However, challenges such as limited access to technology and the need for teacher training were identified. The findings highlight the potential of combining digital tools and deep learning to create engaging, student-centered language learning experiences.

Abstract

Along with developments in time and technology, many construction projects are growing rapidly, ranging from small to large construction projects. This development increases competitiveness between construction project companies. All of these human resource potentials influence the organization's efforts to achieve its goals. Human resource management is the right solution for companies to increase the productivity of employees in the company. To support the research results, the research data (questionnaire) obtained will be analyzed using statistical tools with the help of the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) program version 26.0. Techniques for data analysis in this research are validity test, reliability test, T test and F test. The results of observations in the field on the Maluku Province Language Office building construction project, the workforce lacks discipline in working because it has a dominant influence on work productivity, and the results of observations in the field on the construction project of the Language Provincial Language Office building are Discipline (X1), environmental factors (X2) and skills (X3) greatly influence work productivity.

Abstract

The main activity in this community service aims to strengthen the role of TPA in developing children's Islamic character through three main activities carried out, namely strengthening YPA activities, learning to read and write the Koran and introducing good interpretation of the Koran. Taking place in Kertonan village, Kartasura subdistrict, this activity was motivated by the limited number of TPA teachers, the weak ability to read and write the Koran and Iqro among children and the lack of in-depth understanding of the meaning of the holy verses of the Koran. In carrying out this service activity, we invite children not only to read fluently but also to understand the meaning and moral values ​​of the verses and prayers that children often learn in everyday life. With this activity, children show an increase in their ability to read Iqro and the Koran, and begin to get used to practicing Islamic teachings in their daily lives. For community activities, reciting the interpretation of the Koran is also very helpful in increasing people's knowledge in understanding Islamic religious knowledge. The results of this activity show that the strategy used is very efficient in teaching Islamic religion through TPA activities, able to strengthen the foundation of Islamic character from an early age and can foster a strong religious spirit in children in the Kertonan village.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the strategic role of PRM (Muhammadiyah Branch Leadership) and PRA (Aisyiyah Branch Leadership) in strengthening Islamic propagation (dakwah) and social development in Kertonatan Village, Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency. The main focus is to analyze how PRM/PRA function as both agents of religious preaching and drivers of community-based social transformation. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach through field observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation conducted by students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta during their community service internship (PKL-PP). The findings reveal that PRM/PRA are actively engaged not only in religious activities but also in social programs such as economic empowerment, Qur’anic education (TPA), and fostering community solidarity. However, key challenges include a lack of youth cadre regeneration and weak organizational administration. Therefore, institutional revitalization, youth leadership training, and technological adaptation are necessary strategies to optimize PRM/PRA's strategic roles. The study concludes that strengthening PRM/PRA capacity is vital for building a progressive, independent, and religiously grounded village.

Abstract

The Field Work and Community Service Program (PKL-PP) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta was carried out at the ‘Aisyiyah Branch Leadership (PRA) Kartasura, focusing on strengthening community da'wah values and women's empowerment. The program aimed to foster humanistic and religious attitudes through direct involvement in community activities. Students actively participated in children’s Qur'anic learning groups (TPA), Sunday morning recitations, and Qur’anic interpretation studies. Initial condition analysis revealed that PRA Kartasura has a strong social network and plays an active role in promoting Islamic values, children's education, and women’s empowerment. However, challenges were found in digital documentation and youth participation. Proposed solutions included the development of an electronic documentation system, training in communication and technology-based management, and mentoring in program implementation. Activities were carried out in stages with participatory methods, starting from observation to implementation. The outcomes demonstrated increased child engagement, enhanced management capacity of organizers, and a more organized recording system. To ensure sustainability, collaboration between youth cadres, the university, and PRA is essential. This PKL program offered a transformative experience for students in strengthening sustainable community-based da'wah.

Abstract

The community service program at PRA Pabelan aimed to enhance Islamic literacy by revitalizing routine religious lectures and implementing interactive learning at the Aisyiyah PAUD branch and Al Kausar Mosque TPQ. A situational analysis revealed passive participation and limited contextual materials, while partner challenges included one way teaching methods and lack of pedagogical innovation. The applied methodology combined participatory observation, direct instruction, and play based learning for early childhood education, alongside andragogical and visual auditory approaches in lectures and TPQ sessions. Results demonstrated increased active engagement, intrinsic motivation, basic motor and cognitive skills in children, and improved Iqra’ reading retention and short surah memorization. Sunday morning lectures fostered critical dialogue on contemporary Islamic issues with heightened attendee enthusiasm. Discussion confirms the efficacy of interactive methods in addressing partner challenges and strengthening socio religious networks. The program recommends ongoing facilitator training, development of thematic modules, and periodic evaluations to ensure sustainable educational and da’wah impacts.

Abstract

PKLPP activity at TK Aisyiyah Pucangan 1 aims to strengthen character education and develop early childhood basic skills through tahsin learning strategies and fine motor skill development. Tahsin learning was carried out through group recitation (murojaah) and turn-taking performance methods to improve Qur’an reading abilities. Meanwhile, fine motor skills mosaic-making art activity that trained hand-eye coordination, precision, and creativity. This activity demonstrates that collaboration between educational institutions, students, and learners can create an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment, contributing significantly to the improvement of early childhood education quality.

Abstract

Social changes and technological developments in the era of globalization have an impact on decreasing community participation in religious activities. The main focus of this research is to analyze the contribution of Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPA) activities and mother's recitations organized by the Kartasura Branch of 'Aisyiyah (PRA) in strengthening the social and religious role of the community. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, data was collected through participant observation, interviews and documentation. The results show that TPA activities form a culture of learning the Koran from an early age and improve children's religious character, while routine recitation strengthens Islamic brotherhood, Islamic literacy, and the strategic role of women in the family and society. This activity also succeeded in reviving the function of the mosque as a center for da'wah and empowerment. This program has proven to be able to increase congregational participation and provide significant social and spiritual impacts for the local community. This research contributes to the development of a mosque-based community empowerment model that is integrative, adaptive and sustainable in facing the progress of the times.
