Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the instructional feedback given by Principals during classroom observations. A qualitative approach was used, with semi-structured interviews conducted to gather data. Content analysis was employed to analyze the data. The participants were 20 elementary school teachers from Surabaya city in the 2023-2024 academic year, selected through purposive sampling. The findings revealed that Principals showed insufficient competence in supervision, conducting classroom observations only once a year as a formal procedure. Compared to educational supervisors, Principals were found to need greater proficiency in managing instructional issues faced by teachers due to their familiarity with teachers and knowledge of school activities. The study highlighted that teachers did not find the feedback provided by Principals beneficial, as it was seen as general advice. Therefore, it is essential for administrators to learn effective supervision methods to support instructional improvements in schools. Principals should understand how their role in the supervision system impacts the feedback they provide to teachers.

Abstract

The utilization of media in Islamic Education (PAI) learning represents an innovation that teachers can employ to facilitate the transmission and illustration of abstract concepts in a concrete manner to students. The development of PAI and character education media integrates maritime values for seventh-grade students in coastal areas. The maritime values instilled through this learning media encompass courage, perseverance, cooperation, responsibility, navigation skills, environmental sustainability, resilience, and maritime life skills. This study aims to 1) describe the procedure of developing integrated PAI-BP (Islamic Education and Character Education) learning media with maritime values, and 2) delineate the impact of using these learning media products on student learning motivation. The research method utilized is Research and Development (R&D), employing the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data sources include seventh-grade students from coastal areas (NU Junior High School, Nurul Mushthofa Islamic Junior High School, and Pasir Panjang Wates Junior High School). Data collection instruments consist of questionnaires and observations. The findings reveal that the PAI-BP learning media integrated with maritime values was developed using the ADDIE model and underwent three validation stages involving media experts, design experts, PAI teachers, and students through individual trials, small group trials, and field trials. The impact of the learning media product on enhancing learning motivation was determined through the product moment Pearson correlation test, yielding a calculated value of 0.838. This output resulted in a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.703, indicating that there is a 70.3% influence of using the learning media product on students' learning motivation, demonstrating a strong effect.

Abstract

The andragogy learning perspective through the stories in the Qur'an is an art of adult learning that pays attention to the needs of learners in accordance with the stories in the Qur'an, taking into account educational materials, learning orientation, self-concept, and motivation to learn, especially in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This research aims to discover the concept of andragogy learning from the perspective of the stories in the Qur'an and analyze its implications for the learning process of students at Ngalah Pesantren in Pasuruan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a naturalistic method and a collective case study research type, using the logic of replication research design. The researcher's role involves planning, collecting, analyzing, and reporting research results. Data sources include interviews, observations, and documentation, with orientation, exploration, and focused research stages. Data analysis techniques include condensation, display, conclusion drawing, and data verification. Data validity is checked through credibility, dependability, and confirmability. The research findings at Ngalah Pesantren reveal an orientation towards Sufi values (thariqat) with empirical, intuitive, and tazkiyyah methods. This learning orientation is relevant to problem-centered and contextual approaches. The implications of andragogy learning at Ngalah Pesantren include: a) independence: initiative, executing instructions well, consistency, participatory, and devout; b) simplicity: humility and tranquility; c) brotherhood: love and positive assumptions; d) sincerity: high dedication and contentment.

Abstract

This research describes and explores the educational system of the Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Karangpandan in Pasuruan in developing Society 5.0 life skills. With a strong virtual interaction model and digital leadership, the Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Karangpandan in Pasuruan is still considered capable of preparing excellent skills in line with the Society 5.0 era. The research employs a descriptive approach and focuses on: 1. How the educational system of the Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Karangpandan Rejoso Pasuruan develops Society 5.0 life skills for its students. 2. The implementation of developing Society 5.0 life skills for students at the Darul Ulum Karangpandan. 3. Supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of Society 5.0 life skills for students at the Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Karangpandan Pasuruan. Efforts by the Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum to enhance its presence in the current Society 5.0 era involve maximizing learning facilities, optimizing teaching and learning processes, developing curricula, cultivating students' life skills through extracurricular programs, and improving the quality of teachers and students who are digitally adept, collaborative, innovative, and productive. Supporting factors in the development of students' Society 5.0 life skills include establishing strategic partnerships with digital industries and social institutions, the roles of the religious leaders (kiai) and the family council, alumni involvement, and the digital-based learning systems and media in the madrasah. On the other hand, inhibiting factors include the school's somewhat closed learning system and the nascent quality assurance of digital learning. Abstract

Learning requires an intermediary to help students understand the material being studied. This study aims to determine student perceptions related to the urgency of using learning media in learning biology material. This research uses a survey method. The survey was conducted to undergraduate Biology Education Study Program students in semesters 2, 4, 6, and 8. The subjects of this study were taken from students who had not, were and had received learning media development courses. Students were given questionnaires online. Based on the research conducted, the results show that 61.5% of students strongly agree that biology learning uses learning media. In addition, 59% of students think that by using learning media students have more learning experiences. These results show that undergraduate students of Biology Education ITSNU Pasuruan already have an awareness that the use of learning media in learning biology material is very important.

Abstract

Saat pembelajaran siswa kesulitan dalam memahami materi gerbang logika dikarenakan materi pembelajaran berhubungan dengan angka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesulitan belajar siswa terhadap pemecahan masalah pada materi gerbang logika ditinjau dari keaktifan siswa dan jenis kelamin. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, tes soal, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Subjek keaktifan tinggi dan berjenis kelamin lakilaki berdasarkan pemecahan masalah menurut teori polya tidak mampu dalam indikator memeriksa kembali dan mengalami kesulitan belajar berupa kesulitan memahami materi, keterampilan belajar, intelegensi/kemampuan; (2) Subjek keaktifan tinggi dan berjenis kelamin perempuan tidak mampu dalam indikator memeriksa kembali dan mengalami kesulitan belajar berupa intelegensi/kemampuan; (3) Subjek keaktifan rendah dan berjenis kelamin laki-laki tidak mampu dalam indikator memahami, melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian, memeriksa kembali dan mengalami kesulitan belajar berupa kesulitan memahami materi, pemecahan masalah, keaktifan, kesehatan fisik, intelegensi/kemampuan, minat (4) Subjek keaktifan rendah dan berjenis kelamin perempuan tidak mampu dalam indikator memeriksa kembali, ada yang tidak mampu memahami dan memeriksa kembali dan pada soal tertentu tidak mampu memahami, melaksanakan dan memeriksa kembali, kemudian untuk kesulitan belajar yang dialami berupa kesulitan memahami materi, pemecahan masalah, keaktifan, intelegensi/kemampuan, minat.

Abstract

Minimnya ketersediaan bahan ajar pada mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPS SD sehinggamahasiswa kesulitan memperoleh referensi penunjang dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitianini untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa e-modul berbasis flipbook yang valid, praktis danefektif. Jenis penelitin ini merupakan penelitian R&D (Research and Development) denganprosedur pengembangan model 4D yaitu define, design, develop dan dessiminate. Untukmengetahui uji kelayakan menggunakan lembar validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan ahlibahasa. Uji praktikalitas dan uji efektivitas menggunakan angket respon mahasiswa. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis flipbook valid dan layak untuk digunakan,dengan presentase nilai rata-rata validasi ahli materi 91%, validasi ahli media 93% dan ahlibahasa 90% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil rata-rata uji praktikalitas dan uji efektivitasyaitu 90 %. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul berbasis flipbook mata kuliah KonsepDasar IPS SD valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Paska pandemik COVID-19, masih banyak universitas yang menyelenggarakan perkuliahan jarak jauh (PJJ). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi sikap mahasiswa terhadap perkuliahan daring setelah wabah pandemik. Metode gabungan melalui survei Google Form dan juga wawancara dengan sampel acak dilakukan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang komprehensif dari sikap mahasiswa tersebut. Terdapat 86 responden di salah satu universitas swasta di Jawa Timur yang mengisi survei dan tiga orang yang diwawancarai untuk mendapatkan penjelasan yang mendalam dari hasil survei tersebut. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa secara umum mayoritas responden bersifat netral dan cenderung negatif terhadap perkuliahan jarak jauh. Sedangkan hasil wawancara menemukan bahwa semua responden sependapat dan memiliki sikap yang negatif terhadap perkuliahan daring. Kemudian, analisis dari hasil survei dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa sikap negatif mahasiswa terhadap perkuliahan jarak jauh dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, mencakup peralatan dan sumber internet yang dimiliki mahasiswa, kondisi tempat daring, interaksi aktif mahasiswa dan dosen.

Abstract

Hipertensi dikenal dengan sebutan silent killer dikarenakan tidak ada gejala yang tampak dan seringkali penderita tidak menyadarinya. Hipertensi dapat diobati dengan pengobatan tradisional yang memanfaatkan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) diakui sebagai sistem perawatan kesehatan primer untuk masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kandungan kimia golongan senyawa kimia yang terkandung dari ekstrak etanol tanaman obat daun kemangi, daun seledri, daun sirsak dan daun salam dengan pengujian reaksi warna. Uji fitokimia dilakukan dengan melihat pengujian reaksi warna yang terjadi menggunakan reagen pereaksi warna. Sebelum ekstrak diuji terlebih dahulu diesktraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan etanol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan daun kemangi mengandung senyawa triterpenoid , steroid, flavonoid, tannin dan saponin. Kemudian daun seledri mengandung senyawa fenol, steroid, flavonoid, tannin dan saponin. Daun sirsak mengandung senyawa fenol, triterpenoid , steroid, flavonoid, dan tannin. Daun salam mengandung senyawa fenol, triterpenoid , steroid, flavonoid, tannin dan saponin. Daun kemangi, daun seledri, daun sirsak dan daun salam berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai obat herbal yang menurunkan tekanan darah.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research (PTK) which aims to improve students' critical thinking skills and collaboration skills using the PjBL learning model in science learning which is carried out in three cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research instrument uses analysis test questions and collaboration skills observation sheets. The results of this research show that (1) Cycle I averaged critical thinking 49.03 in the low category, 89.0 for average collaboration skills in the highly collaborative category, (2) Cycle II averaged critical thinking skills 58.73 low category, average collaboration 88.2 with very collaborative category (3) Cycle III average critical thinking skills 64.6 medium category, average collaboration skills 89.4 with very collaborative category. These results lead to the conclusion that the application of the PjBL learning model can improve the critical thinking skills and collaboration skills of class VIII C students at SMPN 11 Pasuruan.
