Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning of speaking instruction using the role-play technique for eighth-grade students at SMPN 14 Sorong Regency. The research problem is focused on four aspects: the completeness and relevance of the components of the Lesson Plan (RPP), the clarity of the speaking skill indicators, the variety of role-play scenarios, and the assessment instruments used. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with the subjects being the Indonesian language teacher and lesson plan documents, as well as eighth-grade students as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that the lesson plans for speaking instruction using role play at SMPN 14 Sorong Regency are administratively complete, but the speaking skill indicators remain general and lack measurability. The role-play scenarios are limited to certain themes and thus not fully contextual, while the assessment instruments tend to emphasize linguistic aspects and do not adequately address non-linguistic aspects such as expression and intonation. The conclusion of this study is that the quality of speaking instruction planning through role play needs improvement by formulating more specific indicators, designing more varied and contextually relevant scenarios, and developing more comprehensive assessment instruments. This research contributes the concept of a “Context-Based Role Play Lesson Planning Analysis Model,” which can serve as a reference for teachers in developing more effective speaking instruction plans.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah masih ditemukannya kekeliruan pada aspek isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, dan kegrafikan dalam buku ajar yang digunakan di sekolah dasar, yang dapat memengaruhi efektivitas pembelajaran dan pencapaian kompetensi peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan bagian dan instrumen pembelajaran pada buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia kelas IV SD Bab 3 “Lihat Sekitar” ditinjau dari aspek isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, dan kegrafikan. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik dokumentasi dan analisis isi terhadap buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia edisi revisi tahun 2023 yang diterbitkan oleh Kemendikbudristek. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini adalah Bab 3 “Lihat Sekitar”, dengan fokus pada isi materi, struktur penyajian, bentuk latihan, dan instrumen evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum buku ajar telah memenuhi indikator kelayakan berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka, mencakup kegiatan menyimak, membaca, menulis, dan berdiskusi yang kontekstual. Namun demikian, masih ditemukan beberapa kekurangan seperti kesalahan ejaan, ketidaksesuaian tanda baca, struktur paragraf yang kurang konsisten, ilustrasi kurang informatif, serta petunjuk dan soal evaluasi yang perlu disempurnakan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan agar buku ajar dievaluasi kembali terutama pada aspek kebahasaan dan teknis instrumen pembelajaran. Rekomendasi juga ditujukan bagi mahasiswa PGSD, guru, dan pengembang kurikulum agar lebih kritis dalam menyeleksi dan mengembangkan buku ajar yang sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of collaborative learning and learning motivation on the reading comprehension skills of 10th grade high school students in the 3T (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged) areas in Sorong Regency. The method used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach. This descriptive method involves collecting data to test hypotheses or answer questions about public opinion on certain issues or topics. The population in this study included all 10th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 and SMA Negeri 8 Sorong Regency, with the research sample consisting of 10th grade students in both high schools. The sampling technique used was Purposive Random Sampling with a 5% error rate. By using the Slovin formula to determine the number of samples, it was determined as many as 120 out of 172 students. The data analysis technique was carried out with the help of the SPSS 25 application on data from the questionnaire regarding collaborative learning and student motivation towards reading comprehension skills, through reliability tests, correlation tests, homogeneity tests, validity tests, normality tests, linearity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of the analysis showed that both collaborative learning and learning motivation had a significant influence on reading comprehension skills. The correlation test showed a value of 0.333, indicating that learning motivation has a stronger relationship to reading comprehension ability compared to collaborative learning. The results of the regression test showed that learning motivation has a greater influence than collaborative learning, with a regression coefficient value of 0.304 and a p value <0.001. This analysis confirms that effective learning strategies must integrate collaborative methods. In addition, this approach must also be able to increase student learning motivation. Therefore, teachers and schools need to develop programs that not only emphasize group-based learning but also encourage students' intrinsic motivation to improve reading comprehension.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis deep learning dalam pengajaran kosakata Bahasa Inggris di MI Kalirejo serta dampaknya terhadap keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi deep learning mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif, motivasi belajar, dan penguasaan kosakata siswa melalui media pembelajaran interaktif yang menggabungkan elemen visual, auditori, dan umpan balik otomatis. Guru juga merasakan kemudahan dalam menyampaikan materi, meskipun terdapat kendala teknis seperti keterbatasan perangkat dan akses internet. Secara umum, pembelajaran kosakata berbasis deep learning terbukti efektif dan berpotensi dikembangkan lebih lanjut di madrasah untuk mendukung transformasi digital pendidikan berbasis nilai keislaman.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model in Indonesian language debate learning and its impact on the logical thinking skills of Grade X students at SMTKN Diaspora Kabupaten Sorong. The background of this research is the students’ low ability to express arguments in a structured and logical manner. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and tests. The results show that the implementation of PJBL increases student activeness in discussions, courage to express opinions, and the ability to construct logical arguments. A total of 62% of students achieved scores above the minimum mastery criteria. These findings indicate that the PJBL model is effective in developing students' logical thinking skills through debate activities. This model is considered suitable for use in Indonesian language learning as an effort to encourage active, creative, and collaborative learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi gaya bahasa pada subjek penelitian, yakni mengetahui jenis-jenis gaya bahasa yang digunakan Ariqy Raihan pada prosa liris “Aksara Hujan” dan Mengetahui fungsi gaya bahasa dalam prosa liris karya Ariqy Raihan yang diterbitkan oleh media kita di Jakarta pada tahun 2018 dengan tebal buku 200 halaman. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan metode deskriptif yang didasarkan pedoman analisis dengan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik baca dan teknik catat dalam pengumpulan data. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi: Memahami jenis-jenis gaya bahasa, kemudian membaca serta menelaah prosa liris yang ada di dalam buku “Aksara Hujan” karya Ariqy Raihan. (1) Memahami jenis-jenis gaya bahasa, kemudian membaca serta menelaah prosa liris yang ada di dalam buku “Aksara Hujan” karya Ariqy Raihan. (2) Mengklasifikasikan gaya bahasa yang diperoleh. (3) Menyimpulkan hasil analisis atau klasifikasi gaya bahasa Prosa liris yang ada pada buku Aksara Hujan (4) Menyusun hasil laporan penelitian (5) Melaporkan hasil penelitian. Abstract

ABSTRAK: This research is motivated by the low ability of third grade students of SDN Kotabaru in writing paragraphs. The results of the observation showed that only 50% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (MCC), while the rest had difficulty in constructing sentences logically, choosing the right vocabulary, and understanding paragraph structure. One of the causes is the lack of interesting learning media variations. Therefore, this study aims to improve students' paragraph writing skills by using picture story media. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) model Kemmis and McTaggart which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 30 third grade students of SDN Kotabaru. The results of the study showed an increase in every aspect. At the planning stage, the teaching modules and picture story media were arranged completely and relevantly. In the implementation, students were more enthusiastic and actively involved when learning using picture story media. The results of paragraph writing skills also increased. In the pre-action, only 15 students (50%) completed the activity with an average score of 70. In cycle I, it increased to 22 students (73.33%) with an average score of 76.33. In cycle II, completion increased to 27 students (90%) with an average score of 80.16. The conclusion of this study is that the use of picture story media can improve learning planning, student involvement in implementation, and paragraph writing skills of grade III students of SDN Kotabaru. This media has proven effective in helping students understand paragraph structure and develop ideas in writing.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di tingkat SMA sering menghadapi kendala berupa rendahnya konsentrasi dan motivasi siswa selama proses belajar, sehingga berdampak pada pencapaian hasil belajar. Salah satu strategi yang dapat diterapkan untuk menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan interaktif adalah penggunaan permainan ice breaking. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan permainan ice breaking terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas XI SMAN 5 Kabupaten Sorong. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain pretest–posttest control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 30 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menggunakan teknik total sampling. Kelas eksperimen mendapatkan perlakuan pembelajaran menggunakan ice breaking, sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak diberikan perlakuan tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar, angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji t untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Penerapan ice breaking terbukti mampu meningkatkan fokus, antusiasme, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran. Dengan demikian, ice breaking dapat direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia di tingkat SMA.

Abstract

Membaca permulaan tidak dapat diperoleh secara alamiah, melainkan melalui proses belajar. peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan belajar membaca sering mengalami kekeliruan dalam mengenal kata yang mencakup penghilangan, penyisipan, penggantian, pembalikan, salah ucap, pengubahan tempat, tidak mengenal kata dan tersendat-sendat. Kesulitan yang dialami peserta didik dapat disebabkan karena adanya faktor yang melatar belakangi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah media flashcard berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan pada peserta didik kelas II SD YPK Elim Malanu Kota Sorong. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen, dengan jenis data kuantitatif. Penelitian akan dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas II B SD YPK Elim Malanu Kota Sorong. Sekolah tersebut berlokasi di Jl. F. Kalasuat Malanu Sorong, Kec. Sorong Utara, Kota Sorong, Papua Barat Daya. Adapun sampel dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas II B yang berjumlah 23 di SD YPK Elim Malanu Kota Sorong. Analisis yang digunakan adalah Paired sampel t-Test merupakan uji beda dua sampel berpasangan. Berdasarkan rumusan masalah yang diajukan dalam skripsi ini dan data hasil penelitian serta analisisnya, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan posttes menggunakan media pembelajaran flashcard di kelas II B lebih tinggi dibanding dengan pretest tanpa menggunakan media pembelajaran flashcard. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan SPSS 21 pada di dapatkan perhitungan diatas hasil pretest memiliki mean 65,03, sedangkan hasil posttes memiliki mean 51,13 sedangkan hasil posttes dan ttabel = 1,721 sedangkan thitung = 11.011. Sehingga thitung > ttabel dan nilai signifikansinya 0,00 < 0,05. Maka H0 ditolak sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh media pembelajaran flashcard terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas II B SD YPK Elim Malanu Kota Sorong.

Abstract

The ability to write connected block letters is one of the important skills that elementary school students must master, especially in the lower grades. This skill not only supports literacy skills but is also closely related to the development of children's fine motor skills. However, in practice, many students still experience difficulties in writing connected block letters consistently, neatly, and legibly. This study aims to analyze the forms and causes of difficulties in writing connected block letters among second-grade students at SDN 1 Karanglayung, Bantarkalong District. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and writing tests. The research subjects consist of four students experiencing writing difficulties and one classroom teacher. The results of the study indicate that the students' difficulties include inconsistency in letter shapes, difficulty in smoothly connecting letters, as well as messy writing and low legibility. The factors causing these difficulties are divided into two categories: internal and external factors. Internal factors include poor fine motor coordination, low motivation to write, and limited visual perception of letter shapes. Meanwhile, external factors include a lack of structured practice, a lack of visual aids such as lined books, non-ergonomic writing posture, and a lack of support from the family environment. In conclusion, students' difficulties in writing connected block letters include inconsistent letter formation, stiff letter connections, and messy and difficult-to-read writing, which are influenced by a combination of internal and external factors. Therefore, adaptive learning strategies and adequate environmental support are needed. KEYWORDS: writing difficulties; connected block letters; fine motor skills
