Welfare: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is a blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of the results of community service. The articles published in the Welfare Journal include the results of original dedication. All publications in the journal Welfare are open access which allows articles to be freely available online without any subscription. Welfare is published four times a year by the literacy service journal as a journal manager at Faculty of Islamic Economis and Business, IAIN Kediri. Welfare accepts manuscripts or articles to strengthen the fields of applied and social sciences from various academics and researchers, both nationally and internationally. Abstract

Habsy's arts training at SDIT Al-Qonita faced challenges in time management and the diversity of students' levels of understanding of the tempo of music and poetry. To overcome this, the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Program (P5) approach was implemented to integrate training into project-based learning that is oriented towards character development and Islamic values. This research aims to optimize time and resource management in Habsy training while preserving Islamic traditions. This research uses a service learning method that combines technical learning with service experience, where students not only learn to play musical instruments and recite Islamic poetry, but are also involved in technical preparation and weekly reflection. The research results show that resource optimization is the key in this training. In-house teachers and professional trainers work together to maximize students' potential, while training facilities, such as musical instruments and practice rooms, are utilized efficiently. Structured timings help overcome time management challenges, ensuring each training session is effective. This training not only improves students' technical skills but also strengthens character values ​​such as cooperation, responsibility and appreciation for Islamic art. The P5 arts performance is the pinnacle of the program's success and has a positive impact on students..

Abstract

Strengthening the Pancasila student profile is an important effort to instill Pancasila values in the younger generation, especially among junior high school students. This community service aims to introduce and strengthen junior high school students' understanding of the Pancasila student profile. Community service activities are carried out through the socialization of the values of the Pancasila student profile with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) model. The methods used are lectures, discussions, and practices of implementing Pancasila values in everyday life. The subjects of this activity involved 56 grade VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The community service activities carried out showed that there was an increase in student responses to the Pancasila profile after the socialization activities were carried out. Furthermore, it can be observed that in the socialization activities carried out, students were enthusiastic in participating in the socialization and understanding the concept of the Pancasila student profile. Students can identify and explain the six dimensions of the Pancasila student profile, namely having faith, being devoted to God Almighty and having noble character, being globally diverse, having critical thinking, being independent, and working together. In addition, students are also able to provide examples of the application of Pancasila values in everyday life.

Abstract

Household waste, which is mostly organic waste, such as leftover food, vegetables, fruit peels, and food processing waste, has the potential to pollute the environment if not managed properly. This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the people of Sumberkepuh Village, Wonosari Hamlet, in utilizing household waste into organic compost. This program aims to reduce odor pollution and methane gas emissions and promote environmentally friendly waste management. The partners of this activity are local housewives and farmers. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves delivering materials, interactive discussions, demonstrations of organic waste processing, and question and answer sessions. The results of the activity showed an increase in the community's understanding and skills in processing organic waste into compost. This program received a positive response from participants, who are now more motivated to manage household waste independently and sustainably.

Abstract

Sewing training is one of the effective solutions to empower housewives to be more economically independent. This activity is motivated by the need to improve women's skills in the field of sewing, which can open up small business opportunities, both as home convection and sewing services. By collaborating with Indonesian Taylor as a training partner, this training activity is designed to provide an understanding of basic pattern making and sewing techniques. The training was attended by 10 housewives, held once a week with different locations to maintain participant enthusiasm. The implementation method includes providing theoretical material, pattern making practice, and basic sewing techniques. Mentoring is carried out intensively to ensure that participants can master the skills taught. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' abilities in making simple patterns and sewing. In addition, participants felt motivated to start a small business in the field of home convection. This program has succeeded in providing new skills that are relevant to the economic needs of participants and have the potential to increase family income.

Abstract

The rise of early marriage cases is a phenomenon that should be considered. Socialization of early marriage prevention is a preventive measure as an effort to reduce the number of early marriages. The purpose of the socialization is to raise awareness about the impact of early marriage which tends to be negative and detrimental. The method used is by applying service learning. Teenagers who are the target of this socialization are given counseling and understanding of early marriage and the various impacts and factors that can cause it to occur. The results include facts about early marriage that occur in the community, as well as changes in adolescents' views on early marriage. The impact of early marriage is the lack of knowledge about the importance of reproductive health, ignorance of married life that requires not only physical readiness but also mental, financial, and mature age. The conclusion confirms that early marriage has a detrimental impact so prevention of this phenomenon should be a serious concern for the future of the younger generation for the better.

Abstract

Efficient financial management is crucial for the operational sustainability of hotels, including in terms of revenue. Front One Budget Hotel Malang faces challenges in its revenue accounting system, which has not been optimized. This community service activity aims to develop and optimize the revenue accounting system to support financial management efficiency and managerial decision-making. The method used is Community Development, where the service team collaborates with the hotel management to analyze and design a more effective system. Training and mentoring are provided to staff to implement the new system. The results of the activity show improvements in revenue recording accuracy, financial process efficiency, and more accurate data-driven decision-making. The hotel’s financial management becomes more transparent and effective, having a positive impact on the hotel's managerial performance.

Abstract

The instillation of entrepreneurial spirit in students of SMKN 1 Kraksaan Probolinggo is one of the efforts to equip them with entrepreneurial skills that can be applied in life. This community service activity is carried out through the management of the Krida Siswa Cooperative, aimed at providing practical experience in entrepreneurship, introducing cooperative management, and enhancing students' creativity and independence. The method used is Service Learning, which includes planning, training and mentoring in direct practice of cooperative's operations, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results of this activity show an increase in students' understanding of entrepreneurial concepts, cooperative management, and decision-making in business. Additionally, this activity has successfully sparked students' interest in entrepreneurship in the future and strengthened the managerial skills of students at SMKN 1 Kraksaan Probolinggo.

Abstract

The Andongsari Village Community, Ambulu District, is a banana-producing area and has banana stem waste. This waste can be used as a green product that can help community welfare. The purpose of this community service is to optimize waste that can be processed into Banana Stem Chips as a green product. The community service method begins with observations of the potential of the village and places that produce banana stem waste, then the method of counseling and socialization to the community through PKK mothers' activities. Furthermore, business management training and how to make products with banana stems were held with an emphasis on digital marketing. The success of the community's production is a starting point for the follow-up plan for this assistance, namely brand training, promotion, and advertising so that the new product can optimally generate income for the mothers of the Andongsari Village community, Ambulu District.

Abstract

In the digital era, the use of social media is very necessary in running a business. In the competitive culinary world, effective marketing is the key to attracting customer attention and increasing sales, especially in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In this case, Bakso Aci Wocil utilizes the WhatsApp Business feature to boost its marketing. The aim of this service is to meet community needs through the use of digital technology, especially WhatsApp Business. Using the WhatsApp Business feature, Bakso Aci Wocil can increase customer engagement which leads to increased sales and welfare of business owners as well as meeting customer needs. This service method uses the service learning method to increase the involvement of students, customers and sales of Bakso Aci Wocil through the use of the WhatsApp Business feature. From the results of the dedication, it was found that the WhatsApp Business feature was able to increase the visibility and attractiveness of products in a competitive era and was able to reach customer accessibility and make it easier for customers to make transactions.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is a social problem that has an impact on adolescent development. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of socialization programs in increasing students' awareness of the prevention of juvenile delinquency. The method used is service learning with stages of investigation, preparation, action and reflection. Activities were carried out at SMPN 4 Malang through lectures, interactive discussions and educational video screenings. The results show an increase in students' understanding based on a comparison of pre-test scores (67.58) and post-test (77.58), with a difference of 10 points. The statistical test shows a significance value of 0.008 (<0.05), which indicates a significant increase in student understanding. The main obstacle is students' limited initial understanding, but this can be overcome with interactive delivery methods. This program has proven effective in increasing students' awareness of the negative impacts of juvenile delinquency and how to prevent it. It is hoped that similar activities can continue to be developed to form a more responsible young generation.
