Welfare: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is a blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of the results of community service. The articles published in the Welfare Journal include the results of original dedication. All publications in the journal Welfare are open access which allows articles to be freely available online without any subscription. Welfare is published four times a year by the literacy service journal as a journal manager at Faculty of Islamic Economis and Business, IAIN Kediri. Welfare accepts manuscripts or articles to strengthen the fields of applied and social sciences from various academics and researchers, both nationally and internationally. Abstract

This community service activity aims to optimize training management for religious instructors in increasing the effectiveness of marriage guidance and Bullying prevention. Religious instructors have a strategic role in guiding the community towards a harmonious family life and creating a safe and conducive social environment. However, there are still obstacles in the counseling method which is less systematic and less than optimal in the use of digital media. This activity was carried out at the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Nganjuk Regency on June 25-26, 2024, using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method which involved training sessions, interactive discussions, and practical simulations. The results of the activity showed an increase in participant understanding by 40%-50%, as well as an increase in skills in utilizing technology for counseling. With this training, religious instructors are better prepared to provide marriage guidance and address Bullying cases in the community more effectively and systematically.

Abstract

Clean water quality is a crucial factor in people's lives, especially for residents of Casadova Housing, Menteng, Palangka Raya, who rely on shallow wells as their main source of water. The results of the study showed that well water in this area still contains an unpleasant odor and has a low pH level (4.5), which does not meet the standards of the Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. Therefore, this community service activity aims to socialize clean water quality standards and provide solutions for handling acidic water for local residents. The implementation method includes counseling, demonstration of simple filtration technology, and technical assistance in improving water quality. The results of the activity showed an increase in residents' understanding of clean water standards and the application of simple technologies, such as the use of lime and aeration, to reduce the acidity level of water. It is hoped that this activity can improve the quality of life of residents with access to healthier and more consumable water.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve production efficiency and operational management at UD. Assas Jaya through the implementation of a rice drying machine. So far, the rice drying process is still carried out traditionally by relying on sunlight, so it is less efficient, takes a long time, and is highly dependent on weather conditions. To overcome this problem, the Community-Based Research (CBR) method is used by involving business owners, workers, and academic partners in the process of identifying problems, implementing solutions, and evaluating results. The stages of the activity include analysis of initial conditions, training in the use of drying machines, operational assistance, and evaluation of production efficiency. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in drying time, rice quality, and operational cost efficiency. The implementation of this technology proves that a community-based approach can increase the competitiveness of small businesses in the agricultural sector, while supporting food security through optimization of the production process.

Abstract

Harika Skin Beauty is an MSME engaged in skincare products that has challenges in marketing and promotion because it still relies on social media and traditional methods. To increase competitiveness and expand market reach, a digital marketing strategy is needed through website creation. This community service activity aims to help Harika Skin Beauty MSME in utilizing digital technology by creating a website as a marketing and promotion media. The method used is Community-Based Research (CBR) with stages of observation, discussion, design, and website implementation. The results of the activity show that the website https://harikaskinbeauty.blogspot.com/ has been successfully created and provides benefits as a digital catalog that makes it easier for customers to access product information, prices, and purchasing methods. The implementation of this website is expected to increase marketing effectiveness and help MSMEs in facing business competition in the digital era.

Abstract

MSMEs play an important role in the economy, but still face challenges in marketing, especially in the digital era. Kedai Tahu Bakso Mama Jo, as one of the MSMEs, experiences limitations in branding and product promotion strategies. This community service program aims to increase the competitiveness of Kedai Tahu Bakso Mama Jo through the creation of a digital product catalog. The method used is Community-Based Research (CBR), which involves training, mentoring, and implementation of digital catalogs on an online platform. The results of the activity showed that the digital catalog succeeded in increasing product visibility, expanding market reach, and increasing sales by 30% in the first month after implementation. In addition, MSME owners gained skills in digital marketing independently. This program proves that the use of digital technology in branding and marketing can increase the competitiveness of MSMEs sustainably amidst increasingly tight business competition.

Abstract

MSMEs play an important role in the Indonesian economy, but many business actors still experience obstacles in marketing and branding their products. TahuLogi, an MSME in Kediri, faces challenges in increasing its competitiveness, especially in utilizing promotional media optimally. This community service activity aims to improve TahuLogi's marketing strategy through promotions at Car Free Day (CFD) Simpang Lima Gumul and the use of digital media. The methods used pengabdian ini kepada masyarakat menggunakan pendekatan Community-Based Research (CBR), include observation, digital marketing training, creating promotional materials, and evaluating the success of marketing strategies. The results of the activity showed an increase in TahuLogi's visibility and sales by 35%, as well as an increase in social media interaction by up to 40%. By optimizing offline and digital promotions, TahuLogi MSME now has a more effective and sustainable marketing strategy. This activity can be a model for other MSMEs in increasing their competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

Digitalization is an important strategy for MSMEs in increasing competitiveness and reaching a wider market. Cakeandme Cookies, an MSME located at Jl. Tosaren 2 RT 19 RW 07, Kediri, faces challenges in introducing its products to new customers due to limited access to information about business locations. This community service activity aims to help the MSME increase its business visibility by creating a business location on Google Maps. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with stages of socialization, mentoring, and direct implementation in creating and optimizing business profiles. The results of the activity show that after registering on Google Maps, there was an increase in the number of location searches and visits to the store. Digitalization of business locations has proven effective in increasing accessibility and customer trust in the brand. This implementation is expected to be a model for other MSMEs in adopting digital technology.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has changed business competition, including for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Omee Digital printing and Konveksi, an MSME in Kediri, has faced challenges in optimizing digital marketing strategies, especially through Instagram. This community service program aims to strengthen Omee Digital printing’s competitiveness by implementing creative content marketing strategies on Instagram. The method used is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving needs analysis, training, content creation, and strategy implementation. The results show a significant increase in Instagram engagement, follower growth, and customer interactions, positively impacting brand awareness and sales. Business owners also gained a better understanding of digital marketing techniques. This initiative demonstrates that optimizing Instagram as a marketing tool can enhance market reach and business sustainability. These findings can serve as a reference for other MSMEs to maximize digital marketing in the era of Industry 4.0.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology presents new opportunities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their market reach. Solusi Berkah Miliyarder, an MSME located in Kediri, East Java, specializes in selling British Propolis. However, limited access to digital marketing has hindered its business growth. This community service program aimed to enhance the competitiveness of Solusi Berkah Miliyarder through the creation of an online catalog. The method used was Community-Based Research (CBR), involving training, mentoring, and implementation of a digital catalog via a dedicated website. The results showed a 30% increase in product sales and a wider market reach within the first month of implementation. Additionally, the MSME owners gained essential skills in managing online marketing independently. This program highlights the importance of digital transformation for MSMEs to thrive in a competitive business environment.

Abstract

The certification of halal products is essential for increasing consumer trust and market competitiveness, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). UMKM Manisan Bligo, a small business producing traditional candied winter melon, faces challenges in obtaining halal certification due to limited knowledge and resources. This community service program aimed to assist Manisan Bligo in the halal certification process through capacity building, document preparation, and procedural compliance. The implementation method using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involved training sessions, consultations, and direct assistance in fulfilling certification requirements. As a result, the business successfully completed the initial stages of certification and improved its understanding of halal production standards. This initiative not only enhances Manisan Bligo’s credibility but also serves as a model for other SMEs seeking halal certification. Strengthening business legality through halal certification is a strategic step to expand market access and support the sustainability of local SMEs.
