Abstract

This activity aims to improve students' ability to write scientific articles, including active involvement in seminars and publication of scientific papers. The number of participants in this activity was 30 people and came from students of the government science study program spread across the country. This community service activity was carried out online with a total of eight meetings. Based on the results of the evaluation, there was an increase in the understanding and skills of participants in writing scientific articles. However, only half of the participants were able to produce scientific articles that met the standards of accredited journals. Abstract

Malnutrition is still a serious challenge in rural areas of Indonesia, including in Penibung Village, Mempawah Hilir District. The impacts include physical growth, cognitive development, and overall quality of life. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to increase public understanding and awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition through interactive education based on the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The activity was carried out using a participatory counseling method involving housewives and integrated health post cadres. The material includes an introduction to macro and micro nutrition, the short and long-term impacts of malnutrition, and the importance of fulfilling nutrition in the first 1,000 days of life (HPK). The evaluation showed an increase in participant knowledge by 35% based on the post-test results, as well as the emergence of behavioral changes in managing family diets. These results indicate that dialogic and visual-based counseling is effective in building nutritional awareness at the community level and is worthy of being replicated sustainably.

Abstract

The ability to speak Arabic among students of IAIN Langsa's Arabic Language Education Department (PBA) is not only important in an academic context, but also has potential as a means of social integration. Unfortunately, the use of Arabic outside the classroom is still limited and does not support the creation of a climate of togetherness across generations. This service program aims to strengthen the use of Arabic through a community-based participatory-collaborative approach, with muhādatsah training activities, lughawiyah discussion forums, Arabic outbound, and Arabic Language Day. The methods used include needs observation, intensive training, social language practice, and formative and summative evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in the courage to speak Arabic (muhādatsah), the frequency of social interaction between students, and the formation of new collaborative spaces. This activity not only contributes to strengthening linguistic competence, but also in forming an inclusive and sustainable academic social network.
