Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of educational facilities and infrastructure management as a collaborative process to utilize school assets effectively and efficiently in order to support the quality of the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of facilities and infrastructure management on the learning process. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive and associative approach. The research population consists of 50 teachers, with a Proportional Random Sampling technique that produced 30 respondents. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis included validity testing (Product Moment Correlation) and reliability testing (Cronbach's Alpha), as well as simple linear regression analysis, T-test, and coefficient of determination using SPSS. The results showed that the management of facilities and infrastructure at Al-Yasini Kraton Pasuruan High School was in the acceptable category. Furthermore, a coefficient of determination ($R^2$) of 0.32 was obtained, indicating that the variable of facilities and infrastructure management (X) had a 32% influence on the variable of the learning process (Y). It can be concluded that facilities and infrastructure management has a significant influence and is in the good category for improving the learning process. Effective and efficient management of facilities and infrastructure is essential to support the success of teaching and learning activities at school.

Abstract

Ethics and morality are central to Islamic education in shaping youth character and spirituality. In the digital era, when media strongly influences adolescents’ values and behavior, film can become an effective medium for contextual Islamic teaching. This study analyzes the representation of Islamic values in *Santri Pilihan Bunda* through symbols, narrative structure, and character development, while offering a different focus from Harahap (2025), which examines children’s animated films with explicit religious symbols. Unlike that study, this research explores a youth-oriented digital series and how Islamic values are negotiated within modern popular culture. Using a qualitative semiotic approach, the study examines scenes, dialogues, and visual signs through repeated viewing and interpretation. The findings show that the film represents key Islamic values, including parental responsibility, the sanctity of relationships through *ta’aruf*, respect for parents, sincerity, patience, and the spirit of *hijrah* (self-improvement). The film also constructs these values as a counter-narrative to permissive culture by framing app-based dating and social-media virality as signs of moral crisis, then presenting *ta’aruf*, family authority, the pesantren environment, and religious rituals as symbols of moral restoration. Thus, *Santri Pilihan Bunda* functions not only as entertainment, but also as a medium of *da‘wah* and character education for Muslim youth in the digital age.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Islamic Humanism into the management of contemporary Islamic educational institutions, examining how leadership, curriculum, technology, and community engagement collectively contribute to holistic human development. Employing a qualitative research design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, document analysis, and non-participant observations across multiple pesantrens and madrasahs. Findings indicate that humanistic leadership fosters ethical decision-making, participatory governance, and policy frameworks prioritising the dignity and flourishing of students, teachers, and communities. The integration of technology and interdisciplinary curricula enables students to engage with classical knowledge while developing critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and practical skills relevant to modern society. Additionally, community engagement initiatives operationalise ethical principles, promoting empathy, civic responsibility, and socially oriented action. Together, these interconnected dimensions demonstrate that Islamic education guided by humanistic principles can balance tradition and modernity, preparing learners to navigate contemporary challenges, contribute positively to society, and achieve holistic intellectual, moral, and social development. The study provides a comprehensive model for Islamic educational management that aligns spiritual and ethical objectives with the demands of twenty-first-century learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement in learning achievement through the Discovery Learning model in Arabic language instruction at Pondok Pesantren Al-Mansyuriyah Sepatan, Tangerang. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This method comprises four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. These four stages are carried out within a single cycle, which is repeated with the same procedures and remains focused on problem solving through self-discovery, self-investigation, and information seeking, using the Discovery Learning model. Based on the research findings, students' learning achievement improved through the Discovery Learning model. This improvement is evident in the learning outcomes for each cycle. In cycle 1, the average pretest score was 68.83, and the average posttest score was 75.5. In cycle 2, the average pretest score was 62.67, and the average posttest score was 89.00. The increase in learning outcomes is also evident from the average N-Gain values for each cycle: 0.22 in cycle 1 and 0.70 in cycle 2. These results demonstrate that the researcher's Discovery Learning model successfully improved students' learning achievement.

Abstract

Teachers, as classroom role models, are required to demonstrate competence and creativity to foster effective interaction and support students' understanding during the learning process. In the Merdeka Belajar curriculum, textbooks serve as key learning media, including Arabic-language textbooks that cover linguistic rules. However, the unsystematic arrangement of these rules often limits students' ability to comprehend the intended grammatical concepts. This study aims to analyze the presentation of linguistic rules in a seventh-grade Arabic textbook and to evaluate their conformity to nahwu and sharf. Using a descriptive qualitative method supported by observation, analysis, and documentation, the study finds that the textbook's linguistic components are generally appropriate with respect to learning outcomes and content scope. Nevertheless, their alignment with classical Arabic grammatical principles is considered inadequate due to the absence of a systematic sequence in the presentation of the rules.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research also employs a descriptive approach, illustrating how the learning method is applied in the classroom and the outcomes obtained. Based on the test results from the first cycle, the highest pre-test score was 90, and the lowest was 20, while the highest post-test score was 100, and the lowest was 40. In the second cycle, the highest pre-test score was 65, and the lowest was 25. The highest post-test score was 100, and the lowest was 45. The most decisive results are the average test scores and the normalised gain (N-Gain). In the second cycle, the average pre-test score was 47.5 and increased to 92.7 on the post-test, yielding an average N-Gain of 0.9 and an N-Gain percentage of 87.6%, whereas in the first cycle, the average N-Gain was 0.4 with an N-Gain percentage of 44%. This indicates that the researcher's use of the cooperative learning model "Numbered Heads Together" has been effective, according to the normalised gain (N-Gain) standard. These results demonstrate that the "Numbered Heads Together" cooperative learning model can improve student achievement, particularly in learning Arabic vocabulary.

Abstract

The main objective of this article is to explain women’s leadership in the study of Qur’anic and hadith interpretation. This study is a library research using the method of collecting bibliographic data, Reading and taking notes according to the research title, and processing research materials. Primary data sources include books on interpretations of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as well as contemporary fatwas on women. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research concludes that the Qur’an does not explicitly prohibit female leadership, even showing examples such as Queen Balqis (An-Naml 29-35) who led wisely. Leadership is based more on a person’s qualities and abilities (capabilities) than on gender. Although there are verses interpreting the role of men as family leaders (An-Nisa 34), which have become the basis of debate, many modern scholars interpret it in the context of responsibility, not absolute superiority.
