The Journal of Engineering Education and Pedagogy (JEEP) is a biannual, peer-reviewed open-access journal that provides a dedicated platform for scholarly dialogue in the fields of engineering and vocational education. Abstract

The Merdeka Mengajar Platform is an application that can be used by teachers to implement the independent curriculum in learning. The Merdeka Mengajar Platform is also a platform that teachers can use to improve their quality as teachers and learners in achieving the goals of the independent curriculum. The Merdeka Mengajar platform offers five items divided into categories such as teacher quality development and learning activities. The development products to improve teacher quality include: Inspirational Videos, Independent Training, Proof of My Work. The use of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform is the right method to enhance the development of teacher competence, innovation and creativity. With various features that can make it easier for teachers to develop their teaching skills, it is necessary to socialize regarding the use of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform, so that the purpose of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform as a means of improving teacher quality in developing learning can truly be realized

Abstract

Abstract: Engineering management is a multidisciplinary field that combines technical knowledge with management skills, aiming to efficiently develop and execute engineering projects. The increasing complexity of modern projects and the dynamic environment in which they are executed have led to the development of various tools, methodologies, and best practices to improve project outcomes. This paper reviews the literature on engineering management, discussing its challenges, emerging trends, and best practices. The findings reveal that effective engineering management is crucial for achieving project success and that organizations must adapt to the rapidly changing landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to design a spreadsheet programming product for wood connection calculation in wood structure course. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) methods with stages of Define, Design, and Develop. The research instrument used is a questionnaire for product validation by subject expert and media expert. Data analysis of expert validation results was carried out quantitatively-descriptively. The result of this study is a spreadsheet programming product for the calculation of wooden connections called TUSAYU. The validation results show that the resulting spreadsheet programming is eligible for use with an average score percentage of 79.6% (Feasible) in term of subject and 82.8% (Very Feasible) in terms of media.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang pentingnya keamanan situs web dalam era digital saat ini, di mana serangan siber semakin meningkat. Salah satu cara untuk mengidentifikasi kerentanan pada situs web adalah dengan metode pemindaian online menggunakan perangkat lunak khusus. Namun, pemindaian online juga memiliki kelemahan seperti hanya dapat mengidentifikasi kerentanan yang sudah diketahui dan memakan waktu yang lama. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus pada situs web gramedia.com yang penting untuk dijaga keamanannya karena mengandung data sensitif pelanggan. Metode pemindaian online digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kerentanan pada server gramedia.com. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan wawasan penting bagi organisasi lain dalam mengidentifikasi kerentanan pada situs web mereka dan mengambil tindakan yang diperlukan untuk meningkatkan keamanannya.

Abstract

Research by Lecturer, Graha University Nusantara Padangsidimpuan, Simrittabumas Data still in Guidance Category for Upgrade to Intermediate Category are required to apply. For this, we need an application that can calculate and document the lecturer's performance in the resulting research. The purpose of this study is to apply fuzzy logic with Mamdani method to evaluate the research achievements of lecturers at Graha Nusantara Padangsidimpuan University. This study uses Mamdani fuzzy logic. The fuzzy Mamdani method is a method of mapping the input space to the output space. This method is a mathematical framework for expressing uncertainty, ambiguity, inaccuracy, lack of information, and partial truth. The phase of research using the Mamdani method is to create input variables from Sinta-accredited papers, Simlitabmas Grant papers, and papers from international and national journals. Find the maximum and minimum values for each variable. Create a fuzzy set using the Mamdani method. Building assertions with defuzzification using Matlab.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the capacity of drainage channels in dealing with flooding puddles. This study used the calculations of hydrology analysis and hydraulic analysis to find out the capacity of flooding and debit. Research instruments use documentation in the form of archives are obtained from government offices by collecting primary data and secondary data. Data analysis uses comparative deskritif quantitative t-shirt analysis. The results showed that the conduit capacity (Qsal) that its cross-sectional form and used stone partners with a wide size of the channel (B) 80 cm and the depth of the channel (h) 70 cm can not accommodate a 10-year flood debit plan, so an evaluation was carried out to be 100 cm × 100 cm.

Abstract

This article discusses cost analysis and methods for working on balcony railings in multi-storey buildings. Balcony railings are an important element in the design and safety of high-rise buildings, as they protect occupants from falls and provide an attractive aesthetic appearance. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the installation of balcony railings complies with applicable planning standards. By exploring information about material costs, work costs, construction efficiency, and other factors that influence the choice of railing form, this research will provide construction professionals with more informed guidance in decision making. In addition, this analysis will also open a window to better understand how the choice of railing shape can affect the project timeframe and the final result of the building.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana relevansi materi ajar Rencana Anggaran Biaya (RAB) dan Manajemen Konstruksi (MK) dengan bidang Quantity Surveyor proyek konstruksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualtitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan wawancara kepada Alumni Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) yang berjumlah tiga orang. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi ajar Rencana Anggaran Biaya dan Manajemen Konstuksi yang dipelajari di Prodi PTB UNJ relevan dengan apa yang dikerjakan oleh narasumber sebagai Quantity Surveyor di proyek konstruksi. Materi ajar juga dianggap lebih dari cukup untuk menambah pengetahuan dan pengalaman mahasiswa yang nantinya akan bekerja dibidang Quantity Surveyor.

Abstract

Kesiapan kerja didefinisikan sebagai tingkat kesiapan fisik, mental, dan pengalaman kerja seseorang sehingga mereka mampu menjalankan aktivitas atau pekerjaan dengan baik. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana program magang dapat membentuk kesiapan kerja mahasiswa.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka, yaitu dengan mengumpulkan referensi dari penelitian-penelitian terdahulu. Mahasiswa dapat mengikuti program magang yang saat ini telah diadakan oleh berbagai pihak. Selama magang mahasiswa akan terpapar langsung kondisi dunia kerja sesungguhnya dan mendapatkan proyek-proyek yang diberikan oleh perusahaan. Kondisi tersebut akan membentuk hard skills, soft skills inrapersonal, dan soft skills interpersonal yang akan merujuk pada kesiapan kerja mahasiswa

Abstract

The digital transformation of education, accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic, has spurred widespread adoption of e-learning platforms globally, with Learning Management Systems (LMS) at the forefront. Despite the enhanced communication channels they offer, LMS implementation can introduce unique challenges in the educational arena. This study explores the impact of LMS on the learning process in Myanmar's education system from a student's perspective, focusing on five key factors: convenience, emotional engagement, technological barriers, assessment effectiveness, and cost. A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed to students who had used an LMS, with 264 valid responses received. These were analyzed using SPSS software, revealing significant correlations between all five factors and the learning process, with assessment effectiveness demonstrating the strongest relationship. The results provide valuable insights into how LMS can be optimized to support the learning process in the context of Myanmar's education system, indicating a need for educators and LMS developers to consider these factors for more effective e-learning experiences.
