Consistan, Jurnal Tadris Matematika, sebuah jurnal internasional elektronik, menyediakan forum untuk menerbitkan artikel penelitian asli, artikel review dari pakar yang diundang, dan berita teknologi baru yang terkait dengan pendidikan matematika. Jurnal ini dirancang dan dikhususkan tidak hanya untuk anggota Indonesian Mathematics Society (IndoMS) tetapi juga untuk dosen, peneliti, guru sekolah matematika, pendidik guru, mahasiswa (S2 dan S3) yang ingin mempublikasikan laporan penelitian atau artikel tinjauan pustaka mereka (hanya untuk kontributor yang diundang), dan komunikasi singkat tentang pendidikan matematika dan instruksionalnya. Selain penulis reguler, untuk setiap volume, isinya akan disumbangkan oleh para kontributor yang diundang yang ahli dalam pendidikan matematika baik dari Indonesia maupun luar negeri. Jurnal mengundang artikel penelitian asli dan tidak secara bersamaan dikirim ke jurnal atau konferensi lain. Abstract

The issue of low mathematics learning outcomes remains unresolved to date. Various efforts have been made, including implementing diverse learning models. To develop these models, it is crucial to understand students' learning styles and motivating factors. In this article, researchers examine aspects influencing students' motivation in mathematics learning, including peer influence. The study aims to identify and analyze variables influencing students' desire to learn mathematics, thereby formulating effective strategies to enhance their motivation. Data was collected by compiling and analyzing literature related to factors influencing student motivation in mathematics learning. The analysis involved five articles indexed in Sinta, utilizing content analysis as the research technique. Findings indicate two primary factors influencing student motivation: internal factors such as physical condition, intelligence, learning patterns, emotional state, health, motivation to succeed, drive to fulfill learning needs, and aspirations; and external factors including learning environment, educational facilities, study schedules, interactions with teachers and parents, recognition, and engaging learning activities. Researchers recommend that teachers employ various teaching approaches to maintain student engagement and prevent boredom. When students study at home, parents are encouraged to continue providing encouragement and guidance.

Abstract

This research aims to study the arithmetic concept of the traditional Congklak game. In this study, researchers used ethnographic qualitative research. Data were collected through observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Observation forms, field notes, and documentation were used to collect data. The results show that the concept of arithmetic is the four basic principles of arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. By teaching the idea of arithmetic in the traditional Congklak game, social sensitivity, ability, and a sense of creativity can be fostered in students to win this game. So that teachers can design lesson plans for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using games method.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation strategies and challenges faced in applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach based on numeracy literacy mathematics learning. A systematic literature review method was employed, analyzing scholarly articles published between 2018 and 2024. The findings reveal that the main strategies in RME-based numeracy literacy include the use of realistic contexts, mathematical modeling, scaffolding, group discussions, and individual reflection. These strategies positively contribute to students’ conceptual understanding and numeracy skills. However, several challenges were also identified, such as limited teacher comprehension of RME philosophy, lack of contextual learning resources, and resistance to shifting from traditional teaching methods. These findings have significant implications for teacher training, the development of contextual teaching materials, and education policies that support numeracy literacy. The study concludes that the success of RME implementation heavily depends on the readiness of the educational ecosystem to support meaningful and contextual learning.

Abstract

This research assesses the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in enhancing students' understanding of social arithmetic and its effect on their mathematical reasoning skills. The study was conducted with 20 students from class VII at SMP Negeri Singgi using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicated that students' mathematical reasoning skills were still low, with only five out of 20 students meeting or exceeding the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). The average mathematical reasoning ability in the class was also below expectations. Interviews with teachers revealed challenges in implementing CTL, particularly concerning time limitations and the complexity of the material. While CTL makes learning enjoyable, it requires collaborative efforts to assess and refine teaching strategies and optimize the model. Continuous evaluation and adaptation of teaching strategies, along with collaboration among teachers, students, and relevant stakeholders, are crucial for improving the mathematics learning outcomes at SMP Negeri Singgi. The results of this study contribute to the development of more contextual and life-relevant mathematics teaching approaches.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren dan arah perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan terkait implementasi model Discovery Learning dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan bibliometrik. Data diperoleh dari artikel ilmiah nasional dalam rentang waktu 2020–2025 yang dikumpulkan melalui aplikasi Publish or Perish, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak VOSviewer. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam jumlah publikasi pada topik ini, dengan dominasi istilah seperti “model Discovery”, “matematis”, dan “pembelajaran”. Visualisasi data mengungkapkan beberapa klaster topik utama serta tren pergeseran fokus penelitian dari tahun ke tahun. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran penemuan masih menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang relevan dalam pendidikan matematika dan membuka peluang untuk penelitian lanjutan di bidang ini.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically analyze the impact of the Discovery Learning model on students' mathematical creative thinking skills through a systematic literature review approach and bibliometric analysis. This study follows seven stages of the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), namely identifying research needs, formulating research questions, searching for literature with relevant keywords, selecting articles with inclusion and exclusion criteria, extracting primary data, thematic and bibliometric analysis, and reporting findings. Several articles from various national and international accredited journals published between 2017–2024 were analyzed using VOSviewer software for visual mapping. The results of the study indicate that the Discovery Learning model contributes positively to the development of mathematical creative thinking skills, especially in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, uniqueness, and elaboration. Bibliometric analysis also shows an increasing trend of research on this topic in the last decade. This study recommends further exploration of the use of technology in discovery learning and longitudinal studies across educational levels.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah merupakan suatu ketrampilan proses yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun demikian banyak siswa yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memecahkan masalah, khususnya yang berbentuk numerasi. Sebuah fakta menunjukkan bahwa tubuh kita terlibat dalam proses berpikir saat memecahan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif-eksploratif. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas VII SMP Al-Azhar Brongka Pagelaran.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dua kelompok siswa melakukan dua jenis gesture sejumlah 22 gesture, 17 merupakan gesture deiktik dan sisanya merupakan gesture representasional. Peranan gesture dapat dilihat dari dua aspek, untuk siapa gesture tersebut dilakukan dan berfungsi sebagai apa gesture itu digunakan. dilihat dari untuk siapa gesture itu digunakan disimpulkan bahwa gesture ditujukan untuk (1) dirinya sendiri, (2) orang lain dan (3) bersama-sama. Sebagai perannya dalam memecahkan masalah matematika gesture deiktik berperan untuk (1) menegaskan ucapan, (2) memusatkan perhatian pada suatu masalah, (3) menunjukkan objek maupun posisi suatu hal dan (4) menuntun siswa menemukan strategi dalam pemecahan masalah. Sedangkan gesture representasional berperan untuk (1) membantu orang lain dalam memecahkan masalah (scaffolding), (2) mengongkritkan ide/gagasan tentang apa yang dipikirkannya, (3) alat dalam menarik perhatian dan memusatkan perhatian siswa selama proses memecahkan masalah, dan (4) mengurangi beban kerja siswa selama memecahkan masalah.

Abstract

Through a literature review, this study attempts to evaluate the ability of the Merdeka Curriculum to improve the standard of Indonesian education. Through the use of project-based learning, varied learning, and strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile, the Merdeka Curriculum provides a flexible, contextual, and learner-centered educational approach. The results of the study show how well this program can develop students' character and improve their 21st century skills. However, there are still a number of obstacles in its implementation, including public opinion, infrastructure inequality, and teacher readiness. Therefore, to achieve successful implementation of the curriculum in a fair and sustainable manner, a plan is needed that strengthens teacher competence, comprehensive socialization, and cross-sectoral assistance.

Abstract

Mathematical logical intelligence is intelligence related to inductive and deductive thinking, logical reasoning, and students' problem-solving skills, this intelligence affects students' ability to solve math problems. The purpose of this research is to describe the mathematical logical intelligence of MA students in solving matrix problems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were XI grade students of MA Raudlatul Ulum Putra Gondanglegi, researchers used purposive sampling in collecting research subjects. The data collection techniques used by researchers are test, interview, and documentation methods. Reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing were used by researchers in data analysis. The results showed that students with high mathematical logical intelligence category could fulfill 4 indicators at once, namely: perform various mathematical operations, understand patterns and relationships, think logically, and think systematically. Students with moderate mathematical logical intelligence category were only able to fulfill 3 of the 4 indicators, namely: performing various mathematical operations, understanding patterns and relationships, and thinking logically. Meanwhile, students with low mathematical logical intelligence category were only able to fulfill a maximum of 2 indicators, namely performing various mathematical operations and thinking logically words.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the ethnomathematical elements embedded in the architecture of the Grand Mosque of Gondanglegi and its potential as a learning resource for geometry in schools. A qualitative approach with ethnographic methods was employed, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research seeks to describe the geometric concepts present in the mosque's architectural cultural elements and how they can be linked to culturally-based mathematics education.The findings reveal that the architecture of the Grand Mosque of Gondanglegi incorporates various geometric shapes such as triangles, rectangles, circles, and rhombuses, evident in elements like domes, minarets, and windows. These elements not only hold aesthetic value but also reflect a blend of Javanese, Madurese, and Middle Eastern cultures. The mosque's architecture serves as a tangible example of applying geometric concepts in real life, which can motivate and enhance students’ understanding in mathematics learning.This study contributes to the development of contextual, culture-based learning by emphasizing the importance of integrating local cultural elements into mathematics teaching. Furthermore, the findings are expected to help preserve Islamic cultural values through education while offering innovative strategies for teachers to create meaningful and engaging learning experiences for students.
