Abstract

Biogas is one of the alternative renewable energy sources that are useful in our lives. Kecamatan Jabung located in Malang, has the potential to produce and develop this kind of energy resources. However, biogas contains many impurities such as H2O, CO2, and H2S that could have a negative impact. Therefore, it is necessary to purify the biogas by making an installation column. The purification process is carried out by utilizing solid adsorbents including zeolite and activated charcoal. However, because solid adsorbents have a certain capacity, an integrated indicator to determine the adsorbent capacity will be needed. The existence of this indicator will be helpful for the public to monitor whether the adsorbent needs to be regenerated or replaced. According to the trial result, we may conclude that silica gel is a promising indicator to determine H2O and H2S adsorption capacity. Meanwhile, lime water can also be used as an indicator of the adsorption capacity of CO2.

Abstract

One of the biggest threats from human activities to rivers is the increasing number of residential areas around or even just above the river flow. This condition is certainly very threatening the sustainability of rivers in the region. One of the biggest threats is that the garbage produced by the community will be directly disposed of in the river flow. One way that can be done to reduce waste disposal in the river is by utilizing river flow, so that many rivers are now increasingly being developed as a vehicle for habitat conservation, because the river is considered important for various aquatic plants, migratory and sedentary fishes, and aquaculture ponds, birds and several types of mammals. In this case, the concept of river management must be based on environmental, ecological, economic and social aspects according to the characteristics of the surrounding community. The purpose of this community service is to utilize river flow for tilapia fish farming. The method used in the service is the PAR by way of lectures and direct practice in aquaculture with karamba by utilizing river flow. From the results of community service including partners showed that some respondents know how to fish with karamba, but do not know that river flow can also be used for fish farming with the karamba system. As well as the results of fish farming practices with the karamba system most of the respondents agreed agree (73%) if the fish culture using the karamba system is used as an alternative business idea related to river flow utilization and 60% of respondents agree the use of river flow for fish cultivation can reduce waste disposal in the river.

Abstract

The potential of human resources and natural resources in the village of krajan will not be maximally exploited. Potential Human Resources include the ability of the community to work together in livestock business and Natural Resources including the availability of abundant forage forage in the rainy season. The use of fodder forage for sheep and cattle feed traditionally has not provided significant income for the community besides traditional maintenance will take a long time. Extensification of livestock business with income that can be generated in the short term is very urgent to do immediately. Cricket is a potential livestock business to be developed considering the relatively short production cycle of only 1 month while the fattening program or sheep fattening is also relatively short, which takes about 3 months to harvest. The construction of cricket cages and the expansion of sheep cages of joint business groups owned by the residents of krajan are expected to be able to increase community income both in the short term (1-3 months) or long term (annual). Community service using the active partition method has been successfully carried out with the following work programs; 1) cricket cage production capacity of 250 kg/month, 2) sheep fattening cages from a capacity of 30 heads to 80 heads, 3) training in making silage and ammoniation and complete feed for sheep, 4) improving the genetic quality of sheep by producing cempe and super sheep enlargement . The results of the first period cricket production trials were 31 kg (from 2 boxes) or 31-32 of the target (50 kg/box), the second trial produced 60 kg (of 2 boxes) or 60% of the target and the third trial produced 124 kg (from 4 boxes) or 62% of the target. The benefit gained in each period is Rp. 400,000/box per harvest. While the expansion of the sheep pen has an impact on investor interest in the investment of fattening rams so that the males for fattening, which originally came from only 2 to 30, have increased 15-fold to date. The increase in sheep population will potentially increase the income of Rp. 500,000/breeder/month or Rp. 100,000/head/month. The low yield of crickets from the target is caused by several factors, including seasonal changes and unstable feed sources and production management by farmers who lack discipline in feeding. Whereas in sheep, breeding and fattening systems face obstacles including the provision of alternative feed which cannot be implemented optimally due to the absence of copper or forage counters and fleece cutting machines. If the two tools are fulfilled the optimization of income from the sheep sector will be significantly increased.

Abstract

Mobility is the main ability that must be mastered by a blind person, to be able to master it requires orientation skills that are built through mastery of spatial skills. Spatial skills are taught to blind students at SLB ABD Negeri Kedungkandang through Orientation and Mobility (O&M) activities. However, the school complained that O&M in the school environment could not be taught ideally because students had not mastered the basic stages and there was no supporting media. The Bangun Duniamu program is here to provide solutions to partners with the aim of (1) Improving spatial understanding through the use of floor plan learning media; and (2) Improving spatial skills to develop perception at the basic stages of Orientation and Mobility. The Bangun Duniamu program is implemented using the PDCA method, namely: (1) Plan; (2) Do; (3) Check; and (4) Act. Continued with the closing of the program and preparation of the report. The Bangun Duniamu program provides results in the form of an increase in spatial understanding from 4% to 64% through Deko Edu activities and an increase in spatial skills from 15% to 70% through Deko Action activities. These results have a positive impact on blind students, namely: (1) Spatial understanding in the form of good knowledge of routes, locations and distances; (2) Mastery of developing school environmental perspectives and independent mobility skills.
