Abstract

Background: Lack of knowledge can affect the behavior of consumption of vegetables and fruit in children. One of the ways to increase knowledge and behavior in consuming vegetables and fruit is by providing education, in educating researchers using animated videos and leaflets.Subject : The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in knowledge and behavior of fruit vegetable consumption by using video animation and leaflet methods in elementary school children in the Cibinong area.Methods: This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with a controlled group pre-post design. Analysis of the data in this study using the Paired Sample T-test, Independent T-test and the Mann-Whitney test.Results: The results showed that there was a difference in knowledge before and after being given an intervention in the form of nutrition education with the animated video method (p = 0.000, = 29) and leaflets (p = 0.034, = 9). There was a significant difference in the consumption behavior of vegetables and fruit before and after the nutrition education intervention using animated videos (p = 0.000, = 27) and leaflets (p = 0.037, = 5).Conclusions: Based on the results of these data, it is concluded that animated videos are more effective for teaching and learning compared to leaflets.

Abstract

Background:The physiological changes occur deteriorating rapidly on critical patients so that it can lead to death if not quickly and accuratelytreated. Two circumstances that can lead to worsening an organ are hypoxemia and malnutrition. Problems can arise when nutrition administered with inappropriate total energy, such as the provision of excessively carbohydrates cause hipercapnea, hyperglycemia, increased O2 consumption and CO2 production, while low fat intake causes hypoxemia. This research aimed to determine the relationship between carbohydrate and fat intake with changes in PaCO2.Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the intake of carbohydrates and fats with PaCO2 changes in critically ill patients .Method: This researchis observational with cross-sectional researchdesign. The experiment was conducted in the ICU room of Semarang Regional Hospital. Samplesare all subjects who were treated in the ICU room and meet the criteria of inclusion and exclusionand limited in period of 3 weeks. The research subjects were adult age group at least 18 years old male or female with the inclusion criteria of having experienced respiratory failure, using ventilator, not experience shock in the last 24 hours, blood pressure is not hypotension, receiving food through enteral or combination of enteral or parenteral. Its exclusion criteria is patients with complex organ failure clinically diagnostic in 24 hours experienced shock, not fed for≥ 4 hours, with hemoglobin level 8 g/ dL, malnutrition status based on anthropometric TSFexamination. The collected data were age, hemoglobin, blood pressure, TSF, carbohydrate intake, fat intake, changes in PaCO2. Analysis data used Shapiro-Wilk, Pear son Product Moment correlation.Results: The most of carbohydrate intake including in the high category (66.7 %), the majority of fat intake fall in the category of less (58.7 %). The majority of PaCO2 in day 1 and 2 (66.7 % and 50 %) are included in the high category. There was relationship between carbohydrate intake with changes in PaCO2 (p =0,024 r = 0,643). There was relationship between fat intake with changes in PaCO2 (p = 0,046, r = - 0,584).Conclusion: There was relationship between carbohydrate intakes with changes in PaCO2 and there was relationship between fat intake with changes in PaCO2.

Abstract

Jumlah penderita hipertensi yang terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Hipertensi merupakan keadaan dimana tekanan darah sistolik ≥ 140 mmHg dan diastolik ≥90 mmHg. Salah satu cara mengatasi hipertensi adalah mengkonsumsi pangan fungsional yaitu serbuk banasoy yang kaya akan kalium dan magnesium sebagai pengontrol tekanan darah. Tujuan Penelitian : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pemberian Serbuk “Banasoy” Pisang Ambon (Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum linnaeus) dan Kacang Kedelai (Glyciline max) terhadap Pasien Hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Gerung. Metode Penelitian : Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment Non Equivalent Control Group Designs, dengan rancangan penelitian Pretest-Posttest with control group design. Jumlah sampel penelitian 20 orang yang diperoleh dari rumus Lameshow dan dipilih secara Purposive sampling. Sampel dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis 30 g bubuk banasoy selama 7 hari.Hasil Penelitian : Terdapat Penurunan tekanan darah sistolik sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok intervensi yaitu rata-rata 161±11,97 mmHg menjadi 147,00±11,60 mmHg dengan selisih 14,00 mmHg dan penurunan tekanan darah diastolik dengan rata-rata  sebelum 103,00±10,59 mmHg menjadi 92,00±10,33 mmHg dengan selisih 11,00 mmHg. Kesimpulan : Tidak ada pengaruh pemberian serbuk banasoy terhadap tekanan darah pasien hipertensi.

Abstract

Background : Diabetus mellitus (DM) is a disease whose prevalence is increasing every year. Need to do the control, prevention, and to set DM 4 main pillars, there are dietary therapy, exercise, counseling, and treatment. The level of patient compliance in implementing diet and taking medication therapy DM is still low. Should look for functional foods in the management of Type 2 diabetic patients such as soy milk. Based on the nutrient content in the form of the amino acid arginine, lecithin, fiber and minerals chromium, soy milk is beneficial to increase insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism blood that help blood glucose levels may be decreased. Objective : This study aimed to determine the effect of soy milk on blood glucose levels of patients DM type 2. Method : The design of this study was pretest - posttest control group design with a sample of 10 people in the treatment group and 10 people in the control group. The sample in this study is that patients in FKTP (Health Facility Level One) dr. Heru Setyono located in Blora district. Result : The results showed that administration of soy milk for 7 days can lower fasting blood glucose in the treatment group by 13.9 mg / dl. Statistical test results Paired T test (sig 0.005), indicating that there is difference between the blood glucose levels before and after treated by administration of soy milk for 7 days in the treatment group. Conclusion : It is concluded that the provision of as much as 25 grams of soy milk is given 2 times a day within 7 days, it can lower blood sugar levels as much as 13.9 mg / dl. It is advisable to be developed as an alternative therapy in patients by DM type 2.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Nutritional status is a major global health issue that frequently leads to the deaths of children under five years old. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), malnutrition accounts for 45% of deaths in this age group. In Indonesia, one key factor contributing to high rates of malnutrition among children under five is insufficient maternal knowledge. Enhancing maternal understanding of nutrition can be achieved through nutrition education, with Motion Graphics being one effective educational media.Research Objective: To assess the impact of Motion Graphic media education on the four pillars of balanced nutrition regarding the knowledge and attitudes of mothers with toddlers in Cot Gadong Village, Jeumpa District, Bireuen RegencyMethods: This study uses the Research and Development method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Primary and secondary data are collected, and they are subsequently put through editing, coding, scoring, processing, and cleaning steps. Both quantitative and qualitative data were acquired. Utilizing SPSS software for data analysis, the T-Dependent test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05) was included.Results: The average scores from the tests are as follows: 85.51% from the material expert, 85.96% from the media expert, and 93.33% from the language expert. The average knowledge level before education was 41.57, which increased to 83.33 after education. Similarly, the average attitude score rose from 40.20 before education to 87.23 after education. Statistical analysis shows p values of 0.000 for both knowledge and attitude.Conclusion: The creation of Motion Graphic media on the four pillars of balanced nutrition can enhance both the knowledge and attitudes of mothers with toddlers in Cot Gadong Village, Jeumpa District, Bireuen Regency.

Abstract

Background : According to the research results of Hernayanti (2006) the content of Cd heavy metals in waters and sendiments ranged between 0.14-1.03 ppm and 0.85-2.75 ppm, while the heavy metal content of Pb in water and successive metals ranging between 0.085-1.1 ppm and 11.3-18.5 ppm. Fish are creatures that are sensitive to pollution of heavy metals so they can be used as indicators of water pollution.Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the lead content in layur fish, three waja fish, anchovy, mullet, and keeper fish which are sold in the Donan River Pengepul Cilacap. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis that is to determine the description of lead levels in these fish. Lead levels were tested using the SSA method (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry).Result : The test results of lead levels using the SSA (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) method showed that of 5 fish samples sold by 5 collectors in the Donan River Cilacap, lead was detected with layur content 0.143 mg / kg, mullet fish 0.271 mg / kg, anchovy 0.309 mg / kg, three waja fish 0.412 mg / kg, and goalkeeper 0.640 mg / kg.Conclution : The conclusion of this study was detected the content of timbale in layur fish, three waja fish, anchovy, mullet, and keeper fish. The highest lead content exceeds the threshold that has been determined by SNI, namely in three waja fish and keeper fish.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Program Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) dirancang untuk melakukan pemantauan dan penangganan permasalahan yang terjadi dimasyarakat. Persepsi ibu terhadap program ini perlu dilakukan penilaian untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemahaman ibu terkait program ini dan cara pemantauan pertumbuhan balita dengan melihat Kartu Menjuju Sehat (KMS) dan perkembangan balita dapat dilihat dari Kartu Kembang Anak (KKA).Tujuan : Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menilai persepsi ibu tentang pengaruh program Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita.Metode : Penelitian kuantitatif berdesain crossectional (potong lintang). Pengolahan data menggunakan uji chi-square. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 45 orang ibu balita, pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan rumus Lameshow.Hasil : Terdapat hubungan antara persepsi ibu terhadap pertumbuhan dan perke mbangan balita, dilihat dari hasil statistik yang menunjukan nilai p0,05. Dimana hubungan persepsi ibu terhadap pertumbuhan p = 0,007 dan hubungan persepsi ibu terhadap perkembangan nilai p = 0,017.Kesimpulan : Persepsi ibu balita dengan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita memiliki hubungan yang saling berkaitan, sehingga persepsi yang bagus akan membuat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita lebih baik.Kata Kunci : Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB); persepsi ibu; KKA; KMS

Abstract

In food and nutrient national action plan 2001-2005, Laws no. 25 (2000) about national development program and Indonesia sehat 2010 that 80% of family become conscious nutrient defind kadarzi  is a family that have balance nutrient behavior, capable to recognize and solve the nutrient problem between each member. In 2008, kadarzi  area in jawa tengah is 35,26%, semarang area 65,77%. And then kadarzi in Tembalang sub district is 61,09%.The objective of this research is t find out relation between education, knowledge with conscious nutrient of independent family practice behavior to baby within 7-12 age month in Tandang Tembalang, Semarang.  This research include of explonative research which has a goal to explaining relation between education level and mother knowledge with kadarzi practice behavior. Research plan include of Crossectional research, conducted in Tandang Tembalang, Semarang. As mother population which have baby 7-12 agemonth as much as 164. Whereas, mount of sample is 128, took randomly with proportional random sampling.The Research result shown respondents which have high school level is 43%, knowledge level is 85,9% (Good), and while conscious nutrient family is 3,1%.The result of fisher exact statistic shown, there is no relation between mother education with kadarzi practice behavior p=0,126 and have no relation between mother knowledge with kadarzi practice behavior p=0,459. Suggested to policy maker for increasing promotion health so society in nutrient field, especially kadarzi indicator which has lowest achievement result is exclusive ASI feeding.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Biskuit merupakan makanan ringan yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat pada semua kelompok umur. Namun, belum ada biskuit di pasaran yang mengandung potasium dan serat tinggi yang baik untuk penderita hipertensi. Sehingga pada penelitian ini dibuat produk biskuit yang disubstitusi dengan makanan tinggi kalium dan serat berupa tepung kedelai dan tepung tomat untuk membantu menurunkan tekanan darah.Tujuan : Mengetahui pengaruh substitusi bahan pangan tinggi kalium dan serat berupa tepung kedelai dan tepung tomat pada biskuit terhadap kandungan kalium, kadar serat, kadar air, dan karakteristik sensorik.Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan 4 perlakuan, terdapat 3 formulasi dan 1 kontrol. Penelitian ini menguji kadar kalium, kandungan serat, kadar air, dan karakteristik sensorik. Uji kalium dengan metode AAS, uji serat dan air dengan metode gravimetri, dan uji karakteristik sensori dengan uji deskriptif. Data uji kalium, serat, dan air dianalisis secara statistik dimulai dengan uji normalitas Shapiro Wilk, uji beda ANOVA, uji lanjutan Tukey, dan uji efek Regresi Linier.Hasil : Formulasi terbaik yang dihasilkan adalah formulasi C (10:80:10) karena kandungan air terendah (8,9 g%), tinggi kalium (61,3 mg%) dan tinggi serat (6,81 g%). Uji karakteristik sensori menghasilkan formulasi C yang mempunyai warna dan tekstur paling mendekati kontrol.Kesimpulan: Formulasi yang dianjurkan adalah formulasi C (10:80:10) dengan pemberian 100 gram berisi 8 biskuit. Formula ini masih perlu dilakukan peningkatan kualitas rasa dan aroma agar hasil lebih baik.

Abstract

Background: Amount 90% of hypertension cases are not clearly known therefore it is also called the silent killer. Pravalensi of hypertension in Salatiga amounted to 32.06%, the figure had exceeded the national rate. This study aims to determine risk factors that may affect the incidence of hypertension among members of the police in Salatiga City, because based of the screening amount 23.5% of police suffered high blood pressure. Methods: Descriptive analytic research in case control study with 1: 2 ratio . The research was conducted on members of police counted 78 respondents. Retrieval of data using measurements of blood pressure, Height, Weight, interviews, and a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire to inquire sodium intake. The data obtained and analyzed by univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyzes. Results: The univariate showed 64% of respondents are current smokers, 60.3% strenuous physical activity, 66.7% malnutrition, and 51.3% sodium intake sufficiently. Chi square analysis showed there was a correlation between smoking and the incidence of hypertension, and correlation between nutritional status and the incidence of hypertension on a police officer. Analysis multivariate showed that nutritional status is the most related factor to hypertension. Conclusion: Factors that causes a person at risk of hypertension are the frequency of smoking and overweight or obesity
