Abstract

Abstract

Senaru Village is one of the villages located in Bayan Sub-district, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, and is a tourist village with significant potential in the tourism and creative economy sectors. Most Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in this village still rely on cash payment systems, which are considered inefficient and make financial recording difficult. Low digital literacy, limited network infrastructure, and a lack of education about digital marketing are barriers to the adoption of modern payment technologies. Therefore, the digitalisation of payment systems through Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) can be a solution to improve transaction efficiency, transparency, and the competitiveness of MSMEs in the tourism sector. This activity aims to introduce and implement QRIS among MSMEs in Senaru Village as a digitalisation strategy to support sustainable tourism and strengthen the local economy. The implementation method includes direct visits to three selected MSMEs based on recommendations from the village government. The results of the activity show an increase in the knowledge and skills of SME actors in using QRIS for daily transactions. Business actors are beginning to get used to recording transactions digitally, so that the payment process becomes faster, more transparent, and more accountable. The implementation of QRIS in Senaru Village has proven to be effective in improving efficiency, transparency, and market access for MSMEs, as well as supporting the sustainability of village tourism.

Abstract

Abstract

This community service program was carried out in Selong Belanak Village, Praya Barat District, Central Lombok Regency, with the aim of improving the knowledge and skills of the local community in utilizing coconut shell waste into eco-friendly briquettes. The implementation method consisted of three stages: collecting coconut shells, processing them into briquettes, and conducting socialization and demonstrations. The results showed that although the initial stages of collection and production were carried out by the KKN students, the community became actively involved during the socialization stage. Several technical challenges were encountered, such as limited raw materials, weather constraints, lack of equipment, and difficulties in determining the right adhesive composition. However, through continuous improvements, the students successfully produced higher-quality briquettes that were denser and more durable. The socialization activity involving the Puncak Gili Lawang Sejahtera Group was attended by 15 participants and succeeded in increasing community awareness of the benefits of briquettes as an alternative energy source. Thus, this program has achieved its objectives by reducing environmental pollution, enhancing community skills, and opening new business opportunities based on local potential.

Abstract

The 2025 National Library Literacy Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) in Perina Village, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency was carried out to optimize the role of the Community Reading Park (TBM) or an existing but underutilized reading corner. This problem is approached with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method which involves TBM managers, youth, and the community actively in strengthening the village literacy ecosystem. The program intervention includes three main pillars: (1) revitalization of TBM facilities, (2) implementation of creative literacy programs based on the National Library's guidelines, and (3) literacy innovations based on local wisdom. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in child participation, with an average attendance of 15-20 children per session. The innovation in the use of local folklore has proven to be effective in increasing children's enthusiasm and emotional connection to reading materials. This program has succeeded in strengthening TBM's role as a hub for community literacy and proving that culturally relevant community-based strategies are an effective implementation model to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education at the grassroots level.

Abstract

Literacy is a fundamental skill for elementary school students to develop critical thinking, comprehend information, and express ideas effectively. However, observations at SDN 1 Dasan Geria revealed that several third-grade students still struggled with reading and writing. This community service program aimed to enhance students’ literacy skills using the Reading-Discussing-Creating-Writing (RDCW) method. The method consisted of five stages: Read Me A Book, Reading Aloud, Smart Book Review, Creating Project-Based Works, and Writing Stories. The program utilized 1,000 high-quality reading materials, mostly children’s stories provided by the National Library of Indonesia. The results demonstrated significant improvement in students’ reading, writing, critical thinking, and creativity. Furthermore, the activities positively influenced students’ learning motivation, self-confidence, social collaboration, and character development. Thus, the RDCW method is proven to be an effective and sustainable literacy strategy that supports the implementation of the School Literacy Movement in elementary education.

Abstract

This community service activity through the Village Community Empowerment Field Study Program (KKN-PMD) aims to initiate an integrated farming model through the use of Gama Umami grass and the introduction of compost fertilizer in Sembalun Bumbung Village. The background of the program is the limited availability of quality animal feed and high production costs due to dependence on chemical fertilizers. This program introduces Gama Umami grass as a superior feed source and compost fertilizer (a mixture of bio-slurry and mushroom straw waste) as an organic fertilizer innovation. The activities were carried out using a participatory approach at the end of the KKN-PMD period. The results of the activities show that the initial planting of Gama Umami grass and the application of compost fertilizer on carrot fields were successfully initiated as a pilot project. Although quantitative monitoring has not yet been carried out, this program has successfully demonstrated the potential of a circular agricultural system that can significantly reduce production costs by reducing the purchase of chemical fertilizers. This program recommends the importance of continued assistance for the sustainability of green agricultural practices.
