International Journal of Humanities, Law, and Politics
International Journal of Humanities, Law, and Politics is an official journal of the Communication in Research and Publications (CRP) and publishes original research papers that cover the theory, practice, history, or methodology of Humanities, Law, and Politics (HLP). IJHLP will act as a platform to encourage further research in Humanities, Law, and Politics theory and applications. The globalization in the humanities sector has had the impact of changing values and attitudes, development of science and technology, and a better standard of living. The globalization of law has caused the regulations of developing countries regarding investment, trade, services and other economic fields to approach those of developed countries. The globalization in the political field is marked by the inclusion of democratic values in many countries, which is accompanied by the growing political awareness of the people. To deal with the influence of globalization in the fields of humanities, law and politics, research must be carried out to filter out every influence of globalization, whether it is in accordance with customs or not. The mission of the International Journal of Humanities, Law, and Politics (IJHLP) is to enhance the dissemination of knowledge across all disciplines in theory, practice, history, or methodology of Humanities, Law, and Politics. The above discipline is not exhaustive, and papers representing any other social science field will be considered. The IJHLP particularly encourage manuscripts that discuss the latest research findings or contemporary research that can be used directly or indirectly in addressing critical issues and sharing of advanced knowledge and best practices in Humanities, Law, and Politics. The essential but not exclusive, audiences are academicians, graduate students, researchers, policy-makers, regulators, practitioners, and others interested in business, management, economics, and social development studies. For ensuring a wide range of audiences, this journal accepts only the articles in English. This study examines the gap in representation of marginal languages and cultures in digital humanities in Indonesia. As a country with more than 700 regional languages, Indonesia faces serious challenges in preserving linguistic diversity in the digital era. Urbanization, globalization, and the dominance of the Indonesian language have accelerated the extinction of regional languages, with only 13 regional languages having more than one million speakers. In the digital context, local languages and cultures tend to be marginalized by the dominance of the majority and global languages. Through a qualitative approach and literature review, this study identifies several key issues: the inequality of local language representation in digital humanities projects, limited data and resources, and minimal participation of local communities. Several initiatives such as BASAbali and NusaWrites demonstrate good practices in preserving languages through community-based approaches and the development of quality corpuses. However, structural challenges such as uneven digital infrastructure, low digital literacy, and the dominance of Western epistemology remain significant obstacles. This study recommends a collaborative approach between academics, local communities, government, and the private sector to build inclusive policies and initiatives. Digital technology needs to be positioned as a means of empowering local culture, not an instrument of global cultural domination, so that digital humanities can become a fair and representative space for the richness of Indonesian languages and cultures.

The development of digital technology has changed the political landscape of Indonesia, creating opportunities and challenges in ethical political education. This study analyzes the implementation of ethical political education in Indonesia's digital era with a focus on its challenges and opportunities. Based on a literature study with a qualitative approach, this study explores the phenomenon of filter bubbles, digital literacy, and the integration of Pancasila values in forming ethical digital citizens. Data from the Ministry of Communication and Information shows that more than 100 thousand negative content was spread on social media in 2023, while Indonesia's digital literacy index in 2022 was still at a moderate level (3.54). The findings show that political education faces significant challenges due to the filter bubble and echo chamber phenomena that strengthen polarization and hinder constructive dialogue. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in civic education has proven effective in increasing students' political awareness, but the implementation of Pancasila values in the curriculum is still uneven. Ethical political education requires a collaborative strategy between educational institutions, government, and civil society to design policies and programs that are responsive to digital dynamics. Recommendations include the integration of digital literacy and political ethics in the formal curriculum, the development of teacher training programs, increasing public awareness of the dangers of filter bubbles, and a holistic approach in teaching Pancasila values. With the implementation of this strategy, ethical political education is expected to form citizens who are critical, responsible, and have integrity in facing the complexities of digital democracy.

This study aims to analyze gaps in the implementation of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities in Indonesia. This law is an effort by the Indonesian government to provide more comprehensive legal protection for persons with disabilities, in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). Using a literature analysis approach, this study identified five main gaps in the implementation of the law: limited physical and digital accessibility, lack of participation of persons with disabilities in the decision-making process, disparities in implementation at the regional level, unavailability of accurate data, and ongoing social stigma and discrimination. The research methodology is qualitative descriptive with secondary data sources in the form of literature, laws and regulations, government reports, journal articles, and other credible publications. The results of the study indicate that many public facilities are not yet fully disability-friendly, participation of persons with disabilities in policy forums is still minimal, there are gaps in implementation between regions, data on persons with disabilities has not been integrated, and negative stigma is still strong in society. Based on these findings, this study recommends strengthening accessibility regulation and monitoring, institutionalizing representation of persons with disabilities in policy-making, providing technical and budgetary assistance to reduce regional disparities, developing an integrated national database, and anti-stigma education campaigns. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to realize more effective legal protection and social inclusion for persons with disabilities in Indonesia.

The implementation of restorative justice in Indonesia’s juvenile criminal justice system has become a significant paradigm shift aimed at prioritizing the best interests of the child. Through Law Number 11 of 2012 on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System (UU SPPA) and Supreme Court Regulation Number 4 of 2014, diversion is emphasized as an alternative to formal prosecution. This study analyzes the legal framework, implementation practices, challenges, and opportunities of restorative justice in resolving juvenile cases in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with juridical-normative and sociological-empirical methods, data were collected through literature review, in-depth interviews, and participant observations in Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta. Findings reveal that while restorative justice has legal support and cultural alignment with local values of deliberation and mutual cooperation, its implementation faces obstacles. These include inconsistent application by law enforcement officers, lack of specialized training, limited supporting facilities, and societal stigma toward child offenders. Active family and community involvement are identified as critical factors for successful reintegration, yet negative perceptions hinder effective restorative processes. The absence of systematic evaluation and monitoring further impedes sustainable implementation. This study recommends strengthening capacity building for law enforcement, increasing public education, enhancing infrastructure and facilities, and establishing structured evaluation mechanisms. Through collaborative efforts among stakeholders, restorative justice can be optimized as a humane and effective approach to rehabilitating juvenile offenders and fostering their reintegration into society.

This study aims to analyze public perception of the music royalty controversy in Indonesia through YouTube comments. The development of digital technology has made YouTube a public space where discourse on cultural and policy issues, such as music royalty payments in the commercial space, is openly expressed. This study uses a quantitative approach with sentiment analysis based on the RoBERTa (Robustly Optimized BERT Pretraining Approach) model adapted for Indonesian, namely the Indonesian RoBERTa Base Sentiment Classifier. Primary data was obtained from comments on a YouTube video titled "Royalty Polemic, Cafes Afraid to Play Indonesian Songs" published by KompasTV. The analysis results show that negative sentiment dominates public conversation with 9,595 comments, far exceeding neutral (3,395) and positive (2,548) sentiment. This dominance of negative sentiment reflects strong public resistance to the royalty payment policy, which is perceived as an additional burden for business actors. Further qualitative analysis reveals that negative sentiment generally contains criticism and concern, while neutral sentiment is descriptive, and positive sentiment, although minor, indicates support for musicians' copyright protection. This study concludes that YouTube serves as a spontaneous and broad reflection of public opinion, and the use of the RoBERTa model proved effective in capturing the rich nuances of informal language in comments. This research contributes to filling a gap in the literature, which tends to focus on legal and economic aspects, by providing a digital data-based understanding of public responses to the issue of music royalties.

The issue of salary increases for members of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Indonesia has sparked widespread public debate because it is considered inconsistent with the socio-economic conditions of the community. The policy is perceived as sensitive, particularly regarding the principles of social justice, government accountability, and political legitimacy. In the digital era, social media such as YouTube has become an important space for the public to express opinions openly. This study aims to map public opinion regarding the DPR salary increase issue through sentiment analysis of YouTube comments using a Natural Language Processing (NLP) approach. The IndoBERTa model was used to classify public sentiment into positive, negative, and neutral categories, and n-gram analysis was used to capture dominant linguistic patterns. The results showed that negative sentiment dominated with 5,463 comments, far exceeding neutral (1,391 comments) and positive (812 comments). The n-gram analysis revealed that frequently appearing words and phrases related to "people," "DPR," "salary," as well as emotional expressions such as "disband the DPR" and "dancing on the people's suffering." These findings indicate that the DPR salary issue triggered a strong, often sarcastic public response and demonstrated a crisis of trust in the legislative institution. The lack of positive sentiment confirms that this policy has almost no public support.

Sexual harassment among adolescents is a growing concern, particularly within school environments. Bandung has been identified as one of the regions with the highest rates of sexual violence in West Java, indicating a critical need for effective educational interventions. One promising method is psychoeducational video, which has the potential to engage students emotionally, capture their attention, and enhance memory retention. This study employed a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design involving 21 eighth-grade students from a public junior high school in Bandung, selected using purposive sampling. The instrument used was the Sexual Harassment Attitude Scale (SHAS), with a reliability coefficient of α 0.871. The results of the analysis show that psychoeducation in the form of videos has a significant influence on changes in students' attitudes regarding sexual harassment with a significance value (p = 0,031). That is, the results show that after watching the psychoeducational video, there is a real change in attitude in students in the form of a more conscious, critical, and non-permissive attitude towards sexual harassment.

The interpersonal mindfulness program is an activity carried out to deepen insight into healing and realizing what is detrimental to oneself by being guided either in pairs or small groups. Habituating someone to behave, especially in the use of interpersonal mindfulness, requires more directed and regular activities. Good behavior game (GBG) is one of the activities used as a class or group management strategy in which there are activities or activities containing rules, dividing groups, providing feedback, deducting points if anyone violates the rules. The results of the literature search show several studies related to this theme in the form of good behavior game methods that can affect individual self-regulation. The research design uses a Pre-Experimental design with One Group Pre-Post Design method. The study will be conducted on 23 students who are doing the Community Service Program (KKN) in Nanjung Village. Based on the research results, there was a 4.52% increase in interpersonal mindfulness among students. However, the results of this statistical test showed that the implementation of the Good Behavior game was not considered effective in increasing Interpersonal Mindfulness in KKN students. This can still show an initial indication of the program's success, even though it is on a small scale. This can be caused by several things such as good behavior game which focuses more on disruptive behavior, while mindfulness is more on the individual's abilities within themselves, and the duration of the activity is considered insufficient to create habituation in its rules. Although from the students' opinions, they feel that they have learned to communicate well and understand other people.
