Abstract

Karang Anyar Village with an area of ​​4.63 km2 and a population of 9,366 apart from farming, the residents are also cultivating ornamental fish species of koi fish in ponds/ponds which are formed side by side with rice fields by utilizing good irrigation around the pond, including Mr. Hendrayen as this service partner currently has land for a fish pond of 2.4 hectares with fish pellets as the main feed which currently relies heavily on factory-made fish feed, the price of which is not affordable by most farmers in Karang Anyar Village with the need for pellets. per day for 36 kg, for that the service implementation team carried out activities in the form of demonstrations on the use of pellet molding machines, training on the use of pellet molding machines and their maintenance as well as machine handover which during demonstrations, the machine was able to produce 50 kg of pellets every hour with cylindrical pellets of diameter 3 mm long and 4 mm long

Abstract

Feed plays a very important role in the livestock production chain. The results showed that lack of feed for livestock, especially cattle, could reduce body weight by 130-150 grams/head/day, depending on the sex and age of the ox. While the adequacy of feed can increase body weight 1-1,3 kg / head / day. In Bangun Rejo village, located in Tanjung Morawa sub-district, there are many cattle breeders with more than 10 cows per household. The obstacle that was seen when the proposing team conducted a survey to the service location in Bangun Rejo village was the lack of fodder for cattle that grew around the residents' residences due to limited land for planting elephant grass. The potential for feed around the farmers is the presence of cassava and palm fronds that can be used as animal feed. For this reason, we need an equipment that can chop these feed ingredients so that they can be consumed by livestock optimally and safely. The choper is intended to reduce the size of forage feed. In addition to the small size (approximately 2.5 cm long) the presentation of feed becomes more effective, it also allows mixing with additional feed ingredients.

Abstract

The current condition of the COVID-19 pandemic has made the economy mostly experience a setback, also experienced by partners, namely the Mulyadi family in Padang Buan, Medan City, not far from the Medan State Polytechnic. Mulayadi, who owns a grocery business selling basic necessities, was forced to close the business because of the declining number of buyers, including due to competition between the same businesses. Next the partners think what to do then turn around and start the table carpenter business. With conventional tools such as hand planers, hand saws, manual chisels and manual painting, partners make wooden tables, and sell them quickly to coffee shops in Padang Bulan around USU. With the help of his son, he tried to offer his wooden table through social media and it turned out that there was a request from the community. As demand from buyers increases, partners find it difficult to meet buyers and are constrained by increasing their business in making wooden tables because they require modern equipment such as electric planers, electric saws, electric drills, compressors, and painting gun units, and partners do not have the money to buy tools. the tool. This was conveyed to the Polmed lecturer to ask for help providing these tools. Then the implementation team carries out a survey, evaluating needs that can improve the work of partners, so that the implementation team of this service aims to help provide carpentry tools and provide training on the use of tools properly and safely. Then the service implementation team made a submission to Polmed through P3M and carried out a service program by handing over tools or machines in the form of 2 electric planers, 1 electric saw, 1 electric drill, compressor and painting gun unit. At the time of delivery, partners said that with manual equipment made of wooden tables as many as 1-2 tables per week, then with the availability of tools provided by Polmed through the chief executive, they could make 4-5 tables per week with more aesthetic ones, and therefore partners' opinions became increase.

Abstract

Dusun I Timur is one of the hamlets located in Karang Anyar Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, located close to Pantai Labu with a distance of 49.3 km from the Politeknik Negeri Medan campus. who operates a fish pond where the fish that are raised are koi fish, Mr. Putra Kurniawan, a service partner admitted that he has been working on this koi fish pond for more than 10 years with 3 ponds owned by each measuring 10 chains, often partners have to carry out their activities at night to sort the fish according to their size in each pond, because the partner's pond is quite far from the electricity network, partners are only assisted with makeshift lighting from a flashlight, besides that without adequate pond lighting at night the security level fish ponds are also not good where they are prone to theft as well as wild animals editors who come looking for food into the pond at harvest time, this service is intended to provide a solution to the problem of lighting partners' fish ponds at night by utilizing solar energy using solar panels.

Abstract

Sekolah Tinggi Olahraga dan Kesehatan Bina Guna merupakan bagian dari satuan penyelenggara pendidikan dilingkungan pendidikan tinggi dibawah kendali Direktorat Pendidikan Tinggi. Perguruan tinggi merupakan satuan penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi sebagai tingkat lanjut dari jenjang pendidikan menengah di jalur pendidikan formal. Hal ini sesuai dengan pengertian perguruan tinggi menurut UU No. 20 tahun 2003 pasal 19 ayat 1. Dalam penjalanan Tri Darma perguruan tinggi STOK Bina Guna bekerjasama dengan Mitra Binaan yakni Desa Batang Kuis  dimana STOK Bina Guna akan memfasilitasi, mengedukasi dan melayani masyarakat sesuai dengan kemampuan dan keahlian kampus. Adapun kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan berupa senam sehat bersama warga masayarakat, gotong royong menjaga kebersihan di lingkungan desa, memberikan pelayanan berupa pengajaran di sekolah-sekolah sekitar desa, dan banyak hal lainnya yang dirasakan memiliki kebermanfaatan bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

The limited number of jobs is one of the causes of the high unemployment rate among the younger generation. Young people prefer to find work rather than create jobs that can absorb labor. Therefore, it is important to change this pattern of thinking, namely changing the desires of the young generation of productive age from being salary recipients (employees) to salary providers (business owners) or in other words, not only as job seekers but also able to create job opportunities for people. That's why it is important to instill the attitude and knowledge of an Leadership for early on to the young generation. The target audience of this service is the students of SMA Al Ittidaiyah Medan, which was attended by 25 students as participants. From the evaluation results, the results and benefits of this service activity include students motivated to be a leader on business t and they understanding the steps in determining the type of business to be carried out, the process also requirements to become a successful leader. Through Community Service activities that are packaged in the form of a seminar, it is hoped that it can generate desire and encourage students to start their new business

Abstract

Pantai Empurancak atau yang biasanya sering dikenal dengan sebutan Pantai Purancak merupakan salah satu objek wisata yang berada di Jepara, tepatnya di Desa Karanggondang Rt 05 Rw 08, Kecamatan Mlonggo. Selain keindahan pasir dan air laut yang memanjakan mata, disekitar pantai yang dikelola secara swadaya oleh masyarakat sekitar, pantai ini juga menyajikan berbagai macam olahan ikan bakar dan seafood yang tidak kalah lezat. Salah satu rumah makan yang menyajikan olahan tersebut adalah rumah makan Mbak Maya. Permasalahan yang muncul pada rumah makan Mbak Maya yaitu ada pada bidang penjualan dan pemasaran. Pada bidang penjualan, rumah makan Mbak Maya ini mengalami penurunan penjualan selama ada pandemi covid 19 dan juga rumah makan Mbak Maya ini terkesan hanya menyediakan makanan berat saja. Berbeda dengan yang ada di pantai lain, mereka juga menyediakan makanan ringan dengan suasana tempat yang menarik, sehingga hal ini bisa menarik pengunjung khususnya dari kalangan anak muda. Permasalahan yang lain adalah rumah makan Mbak Maya mengalami permasalahan di bidang pemasaran. Pemasaran hanya dari mulut ke mulut sehingga kurang efektif dan tidak bisa menjangkau pelanggan yang jauh lebih banyak. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi masalah mitra ini yaitu sosialisasi kegiatan, digital marketing, pendampingan dan evaluasi kegiatan.

A business certainly must have a strong branding strategy in order to realize the vision and mission of a business. In the midst of an increasingly massive market growth and development, of course this has an impact on the increasing number and development of various businesses in the community, including the coffee business. The coffee business is growing well from upstream to downstream. More and more similar businesses make the competition tougher and of course a good branding strategy is needed. The strengthening of brand value and brand image in terms of can strengthen the purchase intention by consumers. This community service program is expected to be able to provide assistance to the coffee business of CV Mandiri Kopi so that it can strengthen the brand and is expected to increase coffee sales. Abstract

The development and progression in the business field in Indonesia also impacted the people of Medan, resulting in their interest in the growth of local brands, especially fashion local brands. This increased interest is one of the reasons that motivates La Roux Craft as one of the local brands located in Medan to produce handmade designed products. In order to survive, La Roux Craft needs a good branding strategy so it can have a competitive advantage in this era of creative and digital competition. However, La Roux Craft does not yet have a strong branding identity and a sufficient amount of knowledge of digital marketing to navigate its own brand. Based on the situation and the problem that faced by La Roux Craft, this study intends to design a set of brand visual guidelines and do a socialization regarding digital marketing strategy related knowledge to prepare this brand to become a better competitive brand in today’s era. Abstract

Mount Sinabung is one of the highest mountains (2,460 meters) active in North Sumatra, in addition to Mount Sibayak, which is located in the highlands of Tanah Karo. Natural disasters usually have an impact on infrastructure damage and job opportunities, damage and even loss, Therefore, An intervention that is used to overcome the initial emotional reaction above is Psychological First Aid (PFA). The purpose of this community service activity is to carry out psychological first aid (PFA) on victims of the eruption of Mount Sinabung, Karo Regency. The method used is to overcome existing problems. is to provide PFA training to victims of the eruption of Mount Sinabung. The characteristics of participants who have a psychological background. The result of this activity is that the enthusiasm of the participants in this activity is very high, as evidenced by the seriousness of the participants in doing PFA skill roleplay. The average result of the pre-test for Psychological First Aid (PFA) is 3.14, while the post-test results show an average score of 9.86. Based on these data shows an increase in the average value of 6.72. The difference in values ​​is the result of the understanding gained by the participants after participating in Psychological First Aid (PFA) training.
