<![CDATA[Fishing ponds are one of the attractive fishing tourism objects and are increasingly being developed to meet the needs of the community. The growth of this fishing pond turns out to provide benefits for entrepreneurs. Kakek fishing pond, which is located in Dusun IV Undian, Tadukan Raga village, STM Hilir subdistrict, Deli Serdang, is one of the fishing ponds that is always visited by customers every day. This pond with a total area of 900 chains is planted with tilapia and tilapia fish seeds. The problem faced by partners is the large cost of managing the fishing pond, including electricity costs to turn on the pump, fan and lights at night. Apart from that, the problem of wiring to reach the farthest part of the hut on the edge of the pond is another obstacle faced by partners. The implementing team offered to provide cottage lighting for fishing ponds based on solar panels as a solution. By holding this activity all the electrical power for lighting the pool can be supplied by solar cell installations.]]>

<![CDATA[One of the basic needs for humans is the availability of clean water that can be used for bathing, washing and also consumption. Sources of clean water can be obtained from dug wells, drilled wells, artesian wells, PDAMs and mountain springs. Artesian wells tap water in a confined aquifer layer which is limited by an insulating layer which naturally functions to maintain hydrostatic pressure and limit it to the free aquifer, where in this layer the influence of contamination is less. Kelambir Village has 4 artesian wells that are 30 years old spread across several hamlets, one of which is in hamlet III, Kelambir Village. People are free to use it for various purposes such as cooking, washing and bathing. The artesian well in Kelambir III hamlet was used as a model by the village head to provide clean water for residents by building a water reservoir tower measuring 2x2x2 and a height of 7 m above ground level to be able to channel water to the furthest places more than 3 km away. The characteristics of water from artesian wells are still slightly poor, characterized by changes in color and the presence of sediment. For this reason, the implementation team offers a solution in the form of providing a water filter installation to obtain water that is good quality and suitable for consumption. The water quality obtained after carrying out this activity was much better than the water samples obtained previously.]]>

<![CDATA[Betta fish is a type of ornamental fish that is very popular during the pandemic, so its selling price has experienced a spike. The reason why this fish is so popular is because of its tiny appearance with unique shape, as well as its extraordinary durability. Betta fish can survive in an aquarium for a long time even if they are not equipped with an aerator or air circulator. Maintenance is relatively easy, cultivation does not require a large space or large capital and can also be done as a home business. Mr. Suwandi, as the prospective service partner, has been running the ornamental fish cultivation business for this type of Betta fish for 5 years, where the fish are kept in tarpaulin fish ponds. There are around 29 fish ponds owned by partners with the number of fish per pond being around 200 to 300. The pool water source is dug well/ring well water where the pool water is replaced every 1.5 months. The quality of pond water greatly influences the sex of the fish produced. Male Betta fish can be sold for IDR 2,000 apiece, while females are only priced at IDR. 300 to 500. Because water quality has a big influence on the selling price, the implementation team added water filter installations after the well and before it flows into the pond. The water quality obtained after carrying out this activity was much better than the water samples obtained previously.]]>

<![CDATA[Community service program carried out in Ngablak Village, District Srumbung, Magelang Regency. aims to find out the obstacles or problems experienced by MSME actors so that they can be identified The next problem is used as training material for each of them MSMEs so that MSMEs can develop and encourage the economy local communities. The methods used are counseling methods, tutorials and discussion. Business Management in an organization is a very important element. MSMEs really need knowledge and skills about business management which is good for the progress of his business. So the owner or manager of MSMEs is expected to have skills in managing human resources, as well as managing facilities and infrastructure in the business. When MSME managers have knowledge Good business management will make it easier for the business to continue develop forward, and run dynamically and flexibly in facing everything demands of changing times. Therefore, the activities carried out are in service to this community by assisting MSME actors, especially partners related to developing their business to be able to compete with other MSMEs by holding training, delivering material, and mentoring regarding business management. Partners are accompanied by a community service team to carry out entrepreneurial management functions well, using strategy effective and efficient business, as well as carrying out strategic management and marketing good digital in its business.]]>

<![CDATA[Pelatihan dan Workshop Inspeksi secara visual hasil pengelasan di SMKS Budhi Darma Indrapura, Desa Tanah Merah, Kecamatan Air Putih, Kabupaten Batubara, Provinsi Sumatera Utara dapat memberikan pemahaman yang mendasar tentang metode inspeksi hasil pengelasan secara visual (visual inspection) terhadap standar pengelasan yang baku sekaligus sebagai sarana persiapan untuk siswa bidang keahlian teknik pengelasan mengikuti sertifikasi welder. Pada workshop ini digunakan standar TWI. SMKS Budhi Darma telah mempunyai laboratorium dan peralatan teknik pengelasan yang lengkap dan siswa dengan kemampuan mengelas cukup baik namun belum pernah di inspeksi berdasarkan standar hasil pengelasan yang baku. Untuk itu diadakanlah pelatihan pada program pengabdian kepada masyarakat di SMKS Budhi Darma Indrapura ini agar di Jurusan Teknik Pengelasan pada SMK ini mempunyai wawasan yang mendalam tentang kompetensi pengelasan. Dengan adanya modul pelatihan dan peralatan praktik, hasil pengelasan siswa dapat dievaluasi berdasarkan standar yang berlaku secara internasional dan dengan menggunakan alat uji yang digunakan dalam keadaan sebenarnya di industri ataupun bidang usaha yang berkaitan dengan pengelasan. Siswa yang hasil pengelasannya dapat lolos dari kriteria yang disyaratkan, nantinya dapat mengajukan ke suatu lembaga sertifikasi profesi untuk mendapatkan sertifikat pengelasan yang berlaku secara Nasional maupun Internasional. Kegiatan ini juga secara tidak langsung menjadi media promosi terhadap Prodi Teknik Rekayasa Pengelasan dan Fabrikasi Politeknik Negeri Medan, untuk memperkenalkan lebih jauh terhadap SMK yang sesuai bidang keahlian pengelasan.]]>

<![CDATA[Adolescents who smoke are considered a natural behavior in society, the rate of spread of smokers in adolescence reaches high numbers, namely in the age group of 10-14 years and 15-19 years and the age of first-time smokers is in the age group of 15-19 years. In Batam City in 2020, the number of teenagers smoking boys aged 15-19 years is 407 teenagers. and 42 women. The urgency of smoking behavior in adolescents is seen based on the impact of the habit, especially on the long-term effects on adolescent reproductive health. The purpose of this activity is to provide an in-depth understanding of the impact of smoking on the reproductive system, raise awareness about the risks of smoking on reproductive health, and encourage adolescents to maintain reproductive health by avoiding smoking. The methods used in this community service activity are lectures and discussions. The result of this activity is an increase in adolescent knowledge about the risks of smoking on reproductive health. Thus, it is concluded that through education can increase adolescent knowledge about the risks of smoking on their reproductive health.]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan dari Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi tentang pemberian modal usaha UMKM ke masyarakat di lingkungan Masjid Al Hidayah yang beralamat di jl Ringroad Kecamatan Medan Amplas. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini bekerja sama dengan Perkumpulan Masyarakat Ekonomi Syariah (MES) dan Bank Sumut Syariah. Adapun jumlah peserta yang hadir sekitar 15 orang. Adapun peserta yang hadir yaitu peserta yang memang mempunyai keinginan untuk membuka usaha dan melanjutkan usahanya yang telah lama tersendat dengan menerima pinjaman dari Bank Sumut Syariah tanpa biaya administrasi dan bunga. Metode dalam proses pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan pemaparan tentang ekonomi kreatif dari dana pinjaman Bank Sumut Syariah, selanjutnya ada sesi tanya jawab antara nara sumber dan peserta. Dari hasil pengabdian pada masyarakat ini, ada sekitar 66% dari jumlah peserta yang antusias ingin mengikuti program pinjaman untuk usaha tanpa biaya administrasi dan bunga yang diberikan oleh Bank Sumut Syariah. Sebelum memberikan pinjaman, pihak dari Bank Sumut Syariah dibantu oleh Perkumpulan MES dan tim dari kampus STIM Sukma harus mensurvei lokasi usaha dan rumah yang akan diberi pinjaman terlebih dahulu, jika dinilai layak, maka akan diberikan pinjaman. <![CDATA[Peningkatan kualitas belajar siswa sekolah dasar melalui pembentukan rumah belajar di Desa Dukun Magelang dengan metode pembelajaran berbasis digital menggunakan Kahoot. It bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kualitas belajar siswa di desa mitra agar terdorong untuk melanjutkan Pendidikan ke tingkat lanjut dengan memberikan nuansa belajar baru dan dapat memaksimalkan penggunaan teknologi pada bidang Pendidikan yang belum diaplikasikan secara maksimal di sekolah dasar yang ada di Desa Dukun. Pelaksanaan PKM ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, metode pelatihan, serta metode pendampingan dan tatap muka. Hasil dari program PKM ini adalah terciptanya buku pedoman mitra yang berguna untuk keberlangsungan program dan juga terbentuknya rumah belajar. Terciptanya kerjasama dengan desa mitra dan guru Sekolah Dasar di wilayah Desa Dukun, dan terdapat peningkatan pembelajaran siswa sekolah dasar yang awalnya hanya 13 persen menjadi 85 persen capaian pembelajaran. Hal tersebut terbukti bekerja dengan baik karena siswa mampu mengingat sebagian besar materi yang disampaikan dan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mitra PKM dan siswa sekolah dasar mengenai teknologi Kahoot.it dan manfaatnya dalam pembelajaran.]]>

<![CDATA[This socialization activity aims to provide an understanding to the community and students about the importance of inheriting the values of local wisdom of the Jambi Malay oral tradition in the digital era. The issues that are socialized include: 1) How are the efforts to inherit the values of local wisdom in the oral tradition of the Jambi Malay community in the digital era? 2) How many oral traditions of the Jambi Malay community have been documented and recognized as national cultural heritage? 3) What local wisdom values in the Jambi Malay oral tradition need to be inherited. The results of the socialization include: 1) Efforts to inherit oral traditions in the Jambi Malay community in addition to being documented and disseminated via the internet, 2) The community and students have an understanding of the values of local wisdom contained in the Jambi Malay oral tradition. 3) Local wisdom values related to: responsibility, politeness, respect for time, honesty, respect for guests and others.]]>

Schools are expected to be a means for students to learn to run small businesses, develop organizational skills, encourage habits to innovate, learn to solve problems and as a place for students to face the world of work after graduating from school. This Community Service Program will be carried out on Universitas Batanghari Jambi Students. School cooperatives can provide experience for students to care about the development of cooperatives.
