Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of safety culture on safety behavior through safety awareness at the Bukit Tawap tourist attraction, Saronggi District, Sumenep, East Java. The background to this research is based on the importance of a good safety culture in reducing work accidents and increasing awareness of dangers in the workplace. This research uses quantitative methods with a path analysis design. The sample used was 88 respondents consisting of permanent employees, investors and tourism managers, using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data was collected through a questionnaire using a 1-5 Likert scale. The research results show that safety culture has a positive and significant effect on safety behavior and safety awareness, and fully mediates the influence of safety awareness on safety behavior. These findings suggest that a good safety culture can increase safety awareness and encourage better safety behavior. This research suggests that tourist attraction managers strengthen safety training programs and effective communication to create a safer work environment, as well as increase safety awareness among employees and visitors. Abstract

Oukup is an effort to restore and/or look for healthy condition by means of a steam bath using traditional spices. Problems related to business licensing, adequate theraphy to diverge to a decrease in community participation in maintaining sustainable. Observation were carried out in Berastagi, Karo, North Sumatera. The research is descriptive with exploratory survey approach. Data were analyzed by SWOT Analysis. The results of the analysis obtained a value of 1,05 (IFAS) and 0,90 (EFAS) are in Quadrant 1. Aggressive strategy is done by registering enough data to provide health tourism amenities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the efforts of the Indonesian government to make Labuan Bajo a super premium tourist destination. In this regard, this study presents the readiness of Labuan Bajo as a super premium tourist destination that will sell tourist attractions at premium prices, from the tourists’ perspectives. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between global warming beliefs and willingness to pay for premium tourism. Such a relationship is mediated by ecotourism attitudes. The tourism literature notes that tourists who have high environmental concerns tend to be willing to pay a premium price for ecotourism experiences. Therefore, this study discusses other factors that influence the willingness to pay a premium, namely the personality of tourists, in this case, the belief in global warming. This study uses a quantitative method where the data collected by questionnaires are analyzed using Structural Model Analysis (SEM) with the assistance of the SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study indicate that the willingness to travel premium is influenced by the belief that global warming is mediated by ecotourism attitudes. It is recommended to tourism practitioners and the government who want to promote Labuan Bajo as premium tourism to highlight the global warming dimension in their tourism campaign. Abstract

The objective of this research is to present a comprehensive framework of tourist attitude toward culinary tourism product in Palembang City. This research is using quantitative method with ex-post facto and longitudinal approach. Samples are taken during the high season and low season. Descriptive and inferential statistic conducted to analyze the research questions and the results are: 1) Knowledge, understanding, and tourist tendency toward culinary tourism in Palembang City tend to be positive. 2) Tourist attitude towards culinary in Palembang according to origin, age, and tourist destinations, as well as visit frequency did not differ significantly.

Abstract

Restoran merupakan salah satu public space yang semakin banyak dikunjungi oleh masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya DKI Jakarta sebagai salah satu alternatif ruang interaksi baru. Ini di sebabkan oleh kemudahan berinteraksi dengan keluarga, relasi atau bahkan pasangan, dan juga dapat menjamu rekan bisnis dengan suasana yang lebih santai. Salah satu cara agar dapat menarik perhatian calon pelanggan dengan cara menonjolkan panorama keindahan alam itu sendiri. Panorama keindahan alam dapat menarik simpati tamu untuk datang dan mencicipi menu makanan yang ada. Tidak jarang tamu datang hanya untuk menikmati keindahan panorama alam yang ada. Dengan adanya restoran-restoran bernuansa baru inilah menjadikan daerah tujuan wisata menjadi ramai pada akhir pekan atau musim liburan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif. Dan untuk menentukan jumlah sampling yang akan diambil, peneliti menggunakan metode slovin. Untuk teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Field Research. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengujian hipotesis, lalu di analisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadinya hubungan korelasi yang kuat yaitu sebesar 0, 687. Dari hasil regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa variabel atraksi wisata berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel motivasi pengunjung.

Abstract

The Old City of Jakarta, as a historical tourist destination, requires competent tour guides to increase tourist satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the influence of tour guide knowledge and skills on tourist satisfaction. The method used was quantitative research with a cross-sectional design, involving 150 randomly selected respondents. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity, reliability and multiple linear regression tests. The research results show that tour guide knowledge has a positive and significant influence on tourist satisfaction with a p value <0.05. Apart from that, communication skills also make a significant contribution in increasing tourist satisfaction. The discussion shows that tour guides who have a deep understanding of the tourist attraction and good interpersonal skills can create a more satisfying tourism experience. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of increasing the competence of tour guides in order to increase tourist satisfaction. The advice for tour guides is to continue to develop their knowledge and skills, while tourists are expected to interact more actively with guides. Further research is recommended to explore other variables that can influence tourist satisfaction in various locations. Keywords: knowledge, skills, tourist satisfaction, tour guides

Abstract

Term mafia is often heard in cases of international crimes involving money laundering businesses, selling drugs, human trafficking and others. Term mafia has entered into the tourism business in Bali Province. Mafia accommodation activities in Bali weaken the authority of Indonesia Republic with illegal activities. This research was conducted to find out how far practice of tourism accommodation mafia in Bali Province and authority of Provincial Government of Bali in eradicating the accommodation mafia in accordance with the division of government affairs both central, provincial and regional. The research method in this study uses the normative legal method, analyzing the problem based on rule of law, authority theory, tourism concept, tourism mafia concept and decentralization principle. Using legal analysis techniques and legal evaluation in determining the limitations of the authority of the Provincial Government in making policies. The results of this study indicate that the principle of freedom of contract is not a justification of the nominee agreement as the legal basis for accommodation mafia activities. Abstract

This study aims to determine the stages of exploration by stakeholders and local communities regarding the importance of ergonomic ecotourism management through preserving the environment based on local wisdom on Gili Iyang Oxygen Island. Through data collection methods used by interviews, observations, and Focused Group Discussions (FGD), the next stage of the research methodology is action research given to stakeholders, namely members of the Tourism Awareness Group, members of the Prosperous Youth Movement, and local communities. The results of the study indicate that there are potential natural tourism destinations and local wisdom on Oxygen Island Gili I which is very potential to be developed, so it is necessary to pay attention to ergonomics-based ecotourism governance and local wisdom as a form of prevention against environmental risks and safety and tourists, through reflection provided by researchers. Indicated several efforts as an ecotourism management plan entitled ergonomics and local wisdom on Oxygen Island Gili Iyang, Madura. Gili Iyang Oxygen Island manager needs to improve branding as ecotourism based on local wisdom so that ergonomics-based ecotourism and local wisdom on Gill Island are increasingly known and visited. Abstract

Based on the study about tourism icon identification in Surabaya by Surabaya Development Planning Body in 2015, Surabaya tourism icons are cultural heritage areas that include Kota Tua, TuguPahlawan and Tunjungan Street. These tourism spots are mostly located in north Surabaya. As far as the field study is concerned, some of the buildings in those areas are still well maintained and even used for office buildings and factories. Besides that, in Kota Tua areas especially Kota TuaKolonial, some commercial buildings such as hotels and museums are still available. Unfortunately, some others are not properly preserved. They significantly affect not only the tourism destination quality but also the tourists’ special interests to visit those areas. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is intentionally carried out to preserve cultural heritage buildings, through which the quality of heritage tourism products in Surabaya can be improved. Having used descriptive qualitative method as a research design, this study aims at describing the implementation of CSR in increasing Surabaya’s heritage tourism products. The primary data are obtained from interview and observation; meanwhile, the secondary ones are from the desk review of documents and the review of related literature. Surabaya tourism stakeholders are the key informants of the study such as the government officials, the members of legislative body, businessmen, tourists, and members of the society. This study concludes that improving the quality of Surabaya tourism icon destination is not solely the responsibility of the government. Due to vast areas of the tourism spots, firstly, the contribution of the private sectors is strongly needed to allocate the activities of CSR into different kinds of favorable actions. Second, the improvement of Surabaya’s heritage tourism product quality will affect the development of other Surabaya’s heritage products. Thirdly, some organizations or heritage area management bodies which are related to Destination Management Organization are needed in order to maintain the sustainability of those areas.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential for marine tourism development on Tunda Island by identifying the challenges faced, and providing sustainability-based solutions through ontology, epistemology, and axiology approaches. The research method used is an in-depth literature study, by analyzing various theories and concepts related to marine tourism development, and linking them to real conditions on Tunda Island. The main findings of this study indicate that marine tourism on Tunda Island faces major challenges in the form of environmental damage, limited infrastructure, and socio-economic inequality. The proposed solutions include strengthening the role of local communities in tourism management, implementing ecotourism, and integrating local and scientific knowledge into tourism destination management policies. The contribution of this study is to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between theory and practice in sustainable marine tourism development, and provide policy recommendations to ensure long-term benefits for local communities. In conclusion, marine tourism development on Tunda Island can run well if sustainability-based approaches and local community empowerment are implemented effectively, ensuring a balance between social, economic, and environmental aspects.
