Abstract

This study aims to develop a model of Islamic banking audit understanding based on students’ learning experiences using a Grounded Theory approach. Islamic banking audit carries unique complexities because it must consider sharia compliance alongside conventional accounting and auditing practices. The study involved 25 accounting students who had completed coursework in auditing and Islamic banking at three universities in Indonesia. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs), and analyzed using open, axial, and selective coding following Strauss and Corbin’s Grounded Theory procedures. The findings identify five key categories in students’ understanding of Islamic banking audit: (1) foundational understanding of sharia principles, (2) technical auditing competencies, (3) integration of sharia–accounting knowledge, (4) learning challenges, and (5) strategies for developing understanding. The resulting theoretical model shows that students’ understanding develops through an iterative process influenced by their religious knowledge background, instructional quality, and practical exposure. This model offers important implications for curriculum design and instructional methods in Islamic banking audit education at the higher education level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of product design, content marketing, and e-service quality on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention among consumers of the local bag brand Merché. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method involving 240 Merché consumers in the DKI Jakarta area. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SPSS and AMOS software. The results indicate that product design, content marketing, and e-service quality have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, product design and customer satisfaction also have a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention. However, content marketing and e-service quality do not have a significant direct effect on repurchase intention. These findings suggest that customer satisfaction plays a crucial role in encouraging repurchase intention, while product design is the only variable that directly influences both dependent variables. This study contributes theoretically by extending the application of Expectation Confirmation Theory in the context of digital marketing for local fashion brands and provides practical insights for fashion businesses in formulating strategies focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and long-term consumer loyalty

Abstract

The development of international capital flows has driven an increase in corporate involvement in cross-border transactions using foreign currencies, thereby creating exchange rate fluctuation risks. PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, as an airline company operating internationally, has a high level of foreign exchange exposure, particularly in operational costs and liabilities dominated by the US dollar. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of foreign exchange risk management on the profitability of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk during the 2020–2024 period. The study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with secondary data sourced from the Bank Indonesia middle exchange rate and PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk's annual reports. Foreign exchange risk is measured through the ratio of exchange rate gains (losses) to operating profit, while profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA). Research results show that the foreign exchange risk faced by companies is significant and impacts financial performance. The effectiveness of foreign exchange risk management shows varying results from year to year. Company profitability, measured using ROA, also experiences fluctuations. Descriptively, there is a correlation between the effectiveness of foreign exchange risk management and company profitability, although profitability is also influenced by factors other than exchange rate risk.

Abstract

This research analyzes the readiness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia to face the potential implementation of the rupiah redenomination policy, focusing on digital payment transformation and QRIS adoption as the main payment system. The qualitative method involved interviews with MSME actors, consumer surveys, and comprehensive document studies combining data from regulations, reports, and scientific articles. The main findings reveal challenges such as varying levels of understanding about redenomination, difficulties in financial records and price adjustment, and technical issues within payment systems. Consumers require price clarity and protection against transaction errors and fraud during the transition. Most MSMEs have adopted non-cash payments, mainly using QRIS, yet still need educational support and infrastructure improvements. This study develops an empirical readiness framework for MSMEs consisting of four core pillars: (1) Technology and System Readiness, including digital infrastructure modernization and device subsidies; (2) Operational and Business Process Readiness, involving inventory management adaptation and strategic price-setting; (3) Payment Method Readiness, focusing on QRIS adoption, transaction cost incentives, and digital payment safety campaigns; (4) Knowledge and Institutional Readiness, encompassing structured financial literacy, community mentoring, government monitoring, and regulatory collaboration with fintech and key stakeholders. This study offers strategic policy recommendations to foster an inclusive and smooth transition for MSMEs during redenomination and digitalization. The proposed measures aim to optimize policy impact and practical readiness of business actors, thereby strengthening MSMEs’ role in supporting national economic growth.

Abstract

Electric motorcycles are an environmentally friendly and economical transportation solution in the face of energy scarcity and air pollution. However, there are indications of problems with consumer interest in PT Volta products in Surakarta. Referring to this urgency, this study examines the contribution of perceived benefits, perceived ease of use, and lifestyle in shaping customer purchasing interest. The main objective of this study is to identify and explain the influence of these three variables on the decision of potential consumers of Volta electric motorcycles in Surakarta. This study applies a quantitative approach by utilising primary data as the main source of information. Considering that the population of potential consumers of Volta electric motorcycles in Surakarta cannot be identified with certainty (unknown population), a sample size of 100 respondents was determined. Participants were selected using purposive sampling based on specific criteria. Data collection instruments were integrated through the distribution of questionnaires, literature studies, and field observations. Furthermore, the data were analysed using a series of statistical procedures, including instrument testing (validity and reliability), descriptive analysis, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression analysis to test the hypothesis through t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R2). Evaluation of the research instruments showed that all questionnaire items met the validity and reliability criteria. In addition, the model met the classical assumption requirements, as indicated by the absence of multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity, and had normally distributed residuals. The resulting regression model is presented through the following equation: Y = 4.830 + 0.733 X1 + 0.037 X2 + 0.044 X3 + e. Partially (t-test), the results show that only the variable of perceived ease of use has a significant effect on purchase intention. Conversely, the variables of perceived benefits and lifestyle did not show a statistically significant effect. However, simultaneously (F test), the F value of 33.793 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 confirmed that this model was suitable (goodness of fit) for predicting purchase intention. Based on the coefficient of determination test, the R2 value of 0.498 indicates that the contribution of independent variables to purchase intention is 49.8%, while the remaining 50.2% is explained by other factors outside the scope of this study

Abstract

This study aims to examine how Indonesia is implementing the Pancasila economic system to help accomplish the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the national and regional levels. It uses a descriptive qualitative technique to look at both external and internal issues, such as global economic conditions, maritime security, human resources, natural resources, sociocultural dynamics, politics, and government functions. Regional case studies of the Pancasila economic system's implementation in Maluku Province, Papua Province, Sukabumi Regency, and Sulawesi Island are also included in the study. The results show that inclusive and fair economic development has been reinforced throughout areas by the application of Pancasila values, such as social justice and cooperation. The productive-age population makes up 70.7% of the population while the agricultural sector provides 12.53% of GDP, according to Statistics Indonesia (BPS, 2025). Persistent inequality is highlighted by a Gini value of 0.375. According to the study's findings, the Pancasila economic system and the SDGs may work together to promote inclusive, socially just, and sustainable national growth.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of monetary variables, namely money supply, inflation, real interest rate, and exchange rate, on economic growth in ASEAN countries during 2019–2023. The sample consists of five ASEAN countries Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam (ASEAN-5) selected through purposive sampling based on data availability. The study employs annual panel data covering five years with a total of 25 balanced observations. The analysis is conducted using panel regression with the Random Effect Model (REM) estimated through the Panel EGLS approach. The results indicate that, jointly, money supply, inflation, real interest rate, and exchange rate have no significant effect on economic growth. However, the partial test reveals that inflation has a positive and significant effect on economic growth, while money supply and real interest rate show positive but insignificant effects. The exchange rate demonstrates a negative but insignificant relationship with economic growth. These findings suggest that during the post-pandemic recovery period, inflation becomes the most influential monetary factor explaining economic growth variation in ASEAN-5, whereas other monetary variables do not strongly affect real output in the short run. Policy implications highlight the importance of maintaining inflation stability, strengthening monetary transmission to the real sector, and improving macroeconomic stability to support sustainable economic growth.
