Abstract

This study aims to analyze differentiation strategies in improving positioning at Rantauprapat coffee shops. The number of samples is 96 respondents, namely coffee shop owners in Rantauprapat. This study uses validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, t tests, F tests, and coefficients of determination using SPSS. The study was conducted to examine how independent variables influence dependent variables and the percentage level of influence of research variables by distributing research questionnaires to respondents and conducting tests. The results of the study indicate that product differentiation, service differentiation and image differentiation have a positive and significant effect on positioning both partially and simultaneously. It can be seen from the results of the determination coefficient in the Adjusted R Square column, which is 0.791. This value means that positioning can be explained by product differentiation, service differentiation and image differentiation by 79.1%. While the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work experience, educational background and compensation on employee performance at PT Pegadaian UPC Kota Pinang. The number of samples is 30 respondents. Abstract

This research purposes it to reveal the extent of the influence of service quality and room facilities at Hotel Benteng Kota Bukittinggi on loyalty, with satisfaction as a variable of mediating. This research type uses a method by quantitative descriptive with an approach by causal associative (cause and effect) through survey methods. The sample used comprises 93 samples. Service Quality (X1), Room Facilities (X2), Loyalty (Y), and Guest Satisfaction (Z) are all in the moderate category, with respective scores of 3.95, 3.81, 4.01, and 4.07. Data were analyzed utilized descriptive statistics and SEM (PLS). Hypotheses were tested using t-statistics and p-values. If the t-statistic exceeds the t-table or the p-value does not exceed 0.05, then the hypothesis is confirmed. Research findings show that variable X1 does not affect variable Z (t-statistic 0.041) and variable Y (t-statistic 0.192). Furthermore, variable Z (t-statistic 6.449) and variable Y (t-statistic 4.872) are significantly influenced by variable X2. Next, variable Z shows a strong impact on variable Y, as evidenced by its t-statistic value of 3.313. In addition, it shown that, through t-statistic 0.040 for variable X1 and 2.447 for variable X2, variable X1 does not have an impact in significant to variable Y through variable Z. On the contrary, variable X2 has an impact in significant to variable Y through variable Z. Thus, only the hypothesis related to variable X2 can be accepted in this research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of brand awareness (X1), brand image (X2), digital promotion (X3), and lifestyle (X4) on iPhone purchasing decisions (Y) case study of FEB Labuhanbatu University Students. The type of research used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The sample used was 91 respondents who were Labuhanbatu University Students using purposive sampling technique based on the slovin formula. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires via google forms online to FEB Labuhanbatu University Students. The data analysis method was carried out through instrument testing, classical assumption testing, multiple regression analysis and hypothesis testing using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that the brand awareness variable has a positive and significant effect on iPhone purchasing decisions, brand image has a positive and significant effect on iPhone purchasing decisions, digital promotion has a positive and significant effect on iPhone purchasing decisions, lifestyle has a positive and significant effect on iPhone purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style, work discipline, work environment, and compensation on employee performance at PT Tasik Raja Cikampak Labuhanbatu Selatan. The sample size was 100 respondents. This study uses validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, t test, F test, and coefficient of determination using SPSS 27. The study was conducted to examine how independent variables influence dependent variables and the percentage level of influence of research variables by distributing research questionnaires to respondents and conducting tests. The results showed that all independent variables influenced the dependent variable with all t count values> t table and significance values ​​<0.05 with a determination level of 0.655 or 65.50% giving a positive and significant influence.

Abstract

This research examines the development of sustainable coastal ecotourism at Sri Mersing Beach, Kuala Lama Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This area has tourism potential in the form of a 2-kilometer stretch of white sand beach, a gentle beach gradient, and a row of pine trees that provide a distinctive shade. The research was conducted in March-April 2025 using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out through direct observation, in-depth interviews with key informants selected through purposive sampling, and literature study. The research results indicate that the development of ecotourism in this area faces several major challenges, such as limited infrastructure, suboptimal waste management, low capacity of local human resources, and weak institutional coordination. Nevertheless, the preserved natural potential and local uniqueness provide significant opportunities for the development of sustainable ecotourism. This research recommends an integrated approach that involves all stakeholders in formulating eco-tourism development strategies that consider economic, social, and environmental aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of environmentally friendly fishing strategies implemented by local fishermen on catch outcomes and the sustainability of marine ecosystems in Pantai Olo, Belawan District. In response to increasing ecological pressure caused by exploitative fishing practices, the adoption of more sustainable approaches has become essential. This research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with fishermen, and literature review. The findings indicate that the use of selective fishing gear, such as appropriately sized nets, contributes to improved catch quality and the preservation of fish populations. Although daily catch volumes may be lower compared to conventional methods, fishermen reported long-term benefits, including income stability and resource availability. Nonetheless, limited access to appropriate technology and training remains a significant challenge. These findings highlight that environmentally friendly fishing strategies generate notable ecological and economic benefits, emphasizing the need for continuous policy support and capacity-building initiatives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the receiving section at The Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru. Using a qualitative descriptive method with purposive sampling to select informants, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data were transcribed and analyzed using Nvivo software. The findings reveal that the receiving section has implemented SOP related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in accordance with hotel standards. However, several procedures were found to be inadequately executed, indicating gaps between the SOP guidelines and actual practice.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the problems and human resource needs of MSMEs in Purworejo Regency. In addition, to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs in the 4.0 industrial era, a digital competency development strategy will also be created. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach involving MSME actors, trainers, and stakeholders. The research results show that limited digital literacy and access to technology are the main obstacles. On the other hand, intensive technical training and mentoring have proven to enhance human resource capabilities, and development strategies that combine direct training, mentoring, and cross-sector collaboration are capable of increasing the competitiveness of SMEs through market expansion and operational efficiency. To support the digital transformation of SMEs, this research suggests the development of sustainable digital training programs that can be tailored to local needs.

Abstract

Kintamani is currently viral on social media with the presence of a coffee shop combined with its natural beauty.This study aims to examine the influence of social media on the consumption decisions of Generation Z at coffee shops in the Kintamani area. A quantitative method was employed using a simple linear regression approach. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires and literature studies. The questionnaire was distributed to 50 Generation Z respondents who had visited a coffee shop in Kintamani.The results show that social media has a positive and significant influence on consumption decisions, with a regression coefficient of 0.754 and a significance value of 0.000. The R Square value of 0.672 indicates that 67.2% of the variation in consumption decisions can be explained by social media activity. These findings suggest that social media functions not only as a promotional tool but also as a strategic communication platform that shapes perception and consumer behavior among Generation Z. Therefore, coffee shop businesses are advised to develop engaging, interactive, and relevant social media content to effectively enhance consumption decisions.
