Abstract

This study examines the influence of service quality, cafe atmosphere, and positive emotions on revisit intention at Tahoma Café & Eatery in Denpasar, Bali. Using a quantitative approach and non-probability (accidental) sampling technique, 108 customers (Likert scale 1–5) completed a questionnaire that was valid (r > 0.30) and reliable (Cronbach's α > 0.70). Analysis using multiple linear regression in SPSS after all classical assumption tests were met (normality, no multicollinearity, and homoscedasticity). The results show that service quality (β = 0.380; p < 0.001), atmosphere (β = 0.304; p < 0.001), and positive emotions (β = 0.188; p < 0.001) have a positive and significant effect on revisit intention; Simultaneously, the model was significant (F = 72.339; p < 0.001) with clear capability (Adjusted R² = 0.667). Service quality is superior and responsive, combined with a comfortable atmosphere and positive emotions among visitors, which are the key to building loyalty and repeat visits in the cafe business.

Abstract

This study stems from the growing awareness of the importance of sustainable coastal tourism management through the application of the green marketing concept. Increasing tourism activities in coastal areas often create environmental pressure, thus requiring marketing strategies that balance ecological and social aspects. In the context of regional development, green marketing is expected to serve as a strategic approach to create economic value without compromising the sustainability of natural resources. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which green marketing contributes to the development of sustainable coastal tourism in Tegal Regency, Tegal City, and Brebes Regency. The research employs a qualitative analytical approach involving 200 informants, including tourism managers, local communities, and tourists. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The results show an average green marketing implementation level of 74.3%, with the highest performance found in waste management and eco-friendly product innovation. Overall, green marketing contributes positively to enhancing destination image and environmental awareness among tourism stakeholders.

Abstract

This study examines how promotional strategies, service quality, and hotel image influence occupancy rates at Bali Mega Hotel Jimbaran. The research involved 98 respondents living in the South Kuta area, aged 17–45 years, who had stayed at the hotel more than once. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) version 4. The findings indicate that all three variables—promotional strategies, service quality, and hotel image—positively and significantly contribute to higher occupancy levels. These results highlight the importance of strengthening the hotel’s marketing efforts, particularly through engaging digital promotions that appeal to potential guests. In addition, improving service quality by enhancing staff responsiveness, refining guest interaction, and ensuring consistent service delivery is essential. The study also recommends upgrading outdated facilities, adding amenities that guests commonly expect, and ensuring greater comfort throughout the hotel environment. Collectively, these improvements can enhance the hotel’s overall image, align more closely with guest expectations, and ultimately increase the value perceived by tourists, thereby helping Bali Mega Hotel Jimbaran remain competitive in the hospitality market.

Abstract

Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) in North Jakarta faces increasing ecological pressure due to coastal reclamation, urban expansion, and intensive tourism activities. This study aims to formulate sustainable environmental management strategies for the PIK area using Strategic Management Theory as the analytical framework. The research employs a systematic literature review of 30 national and international journal articles published between 2023 and 2025 related to coastal environmental management. Data were collected through Google Scholar and analyzed using a thematic approach to identify effective strategic patterns. The findings reveal four main strategies for environmental management in PIK. First, identifying the causes of ecological degradation through the analysis of waste, sedimentation, and changes in coastal vegetation cover. Second, formulating mitigation policies collaboratively by involving the government, private sector, academia, and local communities. Third, implementing programs for waste control, mangrove ecosystem conservation, and energy efficiency through green innovation, environmentally friendly architecture, and community participation. Fourth, ensuring continuous evaluation of policy effectiveness through adaptive spatial monitoring and the application of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) framework. These four strategies form an integrative and adaptive framework for balancing economic growth with ecological sustainability. Their implementation is expected to position PIK as a model of sustainable urban coastal management in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine effective investment planning strategies to improve community welfare, focusing on capital efficiency using the Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) indicator, human capital development, and enhancing the competitiveness of local economic sectors. The research method used is a qualitative literature review, which shows that a low ICOR value indicates high investment efficiency, driving optimal economic growth. Case studies in various regions, such as West Nusa Tenggara, Papua, and Palangka Raya, emphasize the importance of ICOR in allocating capital investment efficiently and productively. Additionally, improving the quality of human capital contributes to increased productivity, innovation, and investment absorption capacity, which in turn supports economic growth. Strengthening key economic sectors is also crucial in attracting investments that have a broad positive impact. In conclusion, the integration of capital efficiency, human capital development, and enhancing the competitiveness of local economic sectors in investment strategies plays a vital role in accelerating inclusive and sustainable economic growth and improving overall community welfare.

Abstract

Public participation is recognized as an essential principle in national development planning; however, its implementation in the Musrenbang process remains largely formal, government-dominated, and lacks transparency. This qualitative case study research analyzes the influence of public participation on the quality of planning, as well as the factors that hinder or support it, through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show that participation is at the tokenism level and is not yet inclusive, including in the utilization of e-Musrenbang. The study highlights the need for strengthening transparency, access to information, and community empowerment to achieve meaningful participation and more inclusive development. It emphasizes that public involvement is still symbolic rather than impactful, particularly for marginalized groups. Therefore, the study calls for enhancing the effectiveness of e-Musrenbang and creating a more inclusive space for community participation. By doing so, Musrenbang can become a more empowering platform that enables broader community engagement and contributes to fairer, more sustainable development.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is a strategic sector that plays a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, serving as a major contributor to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the largest absorber of formal labor. Over the past three decades, this sector has faced various global dynamics, including technological advancements, automation, and fluctuations in investment and exports, all of which influence labor structures. Amid the transition toward Industry 4.0, it is essential to understand how macroeconomic factors such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), wages, and exports shape employment absorption in the manufacturing sector. This study analyzes the effects of these variables on Indonesia’s manufacturing employment from 1994 to 2024 using a quantitative approach with secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). Multiple linear regression analysis using EViews was employed to examine both simultaneous and partial effects. The findings show that FDI, wages, and exports significantly influence employment absorption simultaneously. Partially, FDI has a positive but insignificant effect, indicating the dominance of capital-intensive foreign investment. Conversely, wages and exports have positive and significant effects. These results highlight that productivity-aligned wage increases and strong export performance can expand production capacity and generate new jobs. Therefore, optimizing labor-intensive investment, implementing proportional wage policies, and strengthening export performance are crucial strategies to enhance employment absorption in Indonesia’s manufacturing sector.
