Abstract

Early marriage remains a critical public health concern with significant implications for adolescent reproductive health, nutrition, and socio-economic well-being. Adolescents who marry before reaching maturity face higher risks of malnutrition, anemia, and obstetric complications, while their children are more likely to experience low birth weight, stunting, and delayed development. Beyond health effects, early marriage limits educational attainment and employment opportunities, reinforcing intergenerational cycles of poverty. In Jember Regency, early marriage contributes to elevated Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), emphasizing the need for evidence-based prevention efforts. This study aimed to classify adolescents’ vulnerability to early marriage using the K-Means Clustering algorithm. A total of 30 adolescents aged 15–18 years from Karangpring Village, Sukorambi District, participated. Most respondents were 16 years old (53%), female (87%), and of Javanese ethnicity (90%). Data collected included demographics, as well as knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and intentions related to early marriage. K-Means analysis generated three clusters: high-risk (30%), defined by limited knowledge, permissive attitudes, supportive behaviors, and strong intentions to marry early; moderate-risk (47%), showing average knowledge, mixed attitudes and behaviors, and situational intentions; and low-risk (23%), marked by better knowledge, rejecting attitudes toward early marriage, education-supportive behaviors, and minimal intentions. These findings show that cluster analysis offers a systematic approach to identifying adolescent vulnerability profiles. Such evidence is essential for guiding targeted, context-specific interventions to reduce early marriage and mitigate its health and social consequences.

Abstract

The development of TEFA Kebun Inovasi has the potential to serve as a model for agrotechnotropical-based tourism, providing an educational platform for visitors and the community about the application of agricultural technology and its practical benefits in daily life. However, a comprehensive analysis of the current conditions is necessary to ensure that strategic actions are aligned with the appropriate stages of development. This study aims to analyze the development phase of TEFA Kebun Inovasi Polije through the lens of the Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) framework, which encompasses seven phases: exploration, involvement, development, consolidation, stagnation, decline, and rejuvenation. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that TEFA Kebun Inovasi is currently in the development phase that characterize with initiating facility investments, introducing additional attractions, enhancing promotional efforts, and planning for product diversification. Nevertheless, several characteristics of involvement phase still appear including few tourists’ arrival, basic promotional activities, and a reliance on the limited primary attraction mark the involvement phase. The results of this research are intended to inform the ongoing development of TEFA Kebun Inovasi and contribute to the study of agrotourism destinations on campus.

Abstract

Education development is one of United Nation (UN) sustainable development goals (SDGs) number 4 program, where Indonesian ministry of education designed new education curriculum in 2019. Merdeka Belajar program is comprised of certified internship and independent study, which often became a graduation requirement especially for engineering major. However, rapid change in curriculum frequently caused disruption on student concentration that leads into decline in learning motivation and raising anxiety symptom. This research aims to monitor engineering students’ anxiety during courses. Anxiety-ridden students perform poorly on assignments and have a mediocre interest in studying. The eye gaze can be linked with stress level. Its pattern reflects the anxious state that befalls engineering students. Our paper's primary contribution is offering an observational result on how to use eye gazing to address the anxiety that engineering students experience by observing students' eye movements. The 16 zones (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) make up the eye gazing pattern. 53.8% of the student experience moderate anxiety, while 26.1% of respondent suffers severe anxiety. The research's accuracy rate is 85.5%. These findings offer recommendations for how teachers might quickly assess students' anxiety levels and take specific action to support students in achieving their best learning outcomes.

Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) have a strategic role in managing food security funds sourced from the Village Fund, particularly in supporting agricultural inputs, local farming, and community food resilience programs. Despite this potential, financial management in many BUMDes remains manual, making it vulnerable to errors and a lack of transparency. This study investigates how the use of Excel-based accounting, as a simple and low-cost digital tool, enhances the accountability of BUMDes in managing food security program funds. The research employs a qualitative case study design focused on BUMDes Mandiri in Suci Village, Panti Subdistrict, Jember Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with BUMDes managers, review of financial documents, and field observations. The findings indicate that Excel-based accounting improves the standardization of financial records and increases transparency by producing reports that stakeholders, including village officials and local communities, can more easily understand. However, challenges remain, particularly limited human resources and insufficient skills in operating advanced Excel functions. This study contributes to the literature on public sector accounting by highlighting the role of simple digital solutions in strengthening accountability at the village level. Practically, the results emphasize the importance of capacity building and digital literacy programs to support sustainable financial governance in BUMDes. Moreover, the study provides policy implications for enhancing the governance of Village Fund in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of the Teaching Factory (TeFa) concept at Jember State Polytechnic as an educational tourism attraction that can provide added value for educational institutions, students, and the community. TeFa, which initially functioned as a production and service-based learning model, has the potential to be developed into an educational tourism destination through the integration of vocational practices with knowledge-based tourism experiences. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving field observations, interviews with lecturers, students, and TeFa managers, as well as documentation of production and service activities. The results show that the transformation of TeFa into an educational tourism destination has a positive impact on improving student competencies, expanding partnership networks with industry, and opening opportunities for an education-based creative economy. Furthermore, the involvement of the surrounding community has also increased through participation in the provision of tourism support services. In conclusion, the Teaching Factory is not only effective as a vocational learning facility but also has strategic potential as a sustainable educational tourism destination within Jember State Polytechnic.
