Abstract

Many countries already have laws to regulate consumer protection, but in reality there are still many companies that do not comply with legal obligations related to product safety and quality standards. This study aims to explore the extent of corporate legal responsibility in dealing with claims for losses due to defective products. The method used in writing this scientific paper uses a literature study research method with a qualitative approach. In Indonesia, consumer protection is regulated in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (Consumer Protection Law). This law provides a strong legal basis for consumers to get compensation if they are harmed due to defective products. Consumers who feel disadvantaged due to defective products can submit a claim for compensation to business actors. In addition, the company is also expected to take preventive measures so that similar incidents do not recur.

Abstract

The use of electronic cigarettes among teenagers and young adults is increasing, raising concerns about health risks and potential addiction. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of social media campaigns in shaping perceptions and influencing the behavior of e-cigarette users. The research employs a literature review method, examining relevant studies published in the last five years. The findings indicate that social media plays a significant role in raising awareness about the dangers of e-cigarettes. Social factors, such as peer influence and family environment, are key determinants in an individual's decision to use e-cigarettes. Additionally, the low level of user awareness regarding health risks highlights the need for stronger education-based campaign strategies. Optimally utilizing social media with evidence-based content and targeted approaches can help reduce the prevalence of e-cigarette use. Government regulations and community-based interventions are also necessary to enhance the effectiveness of these campaigns. With a comprehensive approach, social media campaigns have great potential to change perceptions and behaviors related to e-cigarette use, thereby contributing to improved public health awareness.

Abstract

This study analyzes the physiological workload of employees in the production floor of PT. XYZ, a company specializing in tuna export. The manual production process requires workers to stand for four hours without rest, potentially leading to physical and mental fatigue. The research methodology includes heart rate measurement, energy consumption analysis, and Cardiovascular Load (CVL) calculation to assess worker fatigue levels. The findings indicate that most employees experience a light workload, with CVL values below 30%, meaning no excessive fatigue. However, the fish-cutting activity presents the highest workload compared to other workstations. Based on these results, task rotation and work system improvements are recommended to enhance employee well-being and productivity.
