Jurnal Riset dan Pengabdian Interdisipliner (JRPI, E-ISSN: 3064-6111) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Department of Earth Science and Technology, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. JRPI provides open access to the principle that research published in this journal is freely available to the public to support the exchange of knowledge globally. JRPI published four-issue articles per year namely October, January, April and July. JPRI provides a place for academics, researchers, and practitioners to publish scientific articles. Each text sent to JRPI editor is reviewed by peer review. Starting from Vol. 1 No. 1 (October 2024), all manuscripts sent to the JRPI editor are accepted in Bahasa Indonesia or English. Abstract

The abacus arithmetic training aims to enhance the mathematics skills of students at SDN Gunggung through an interactive approach. This activity successfully created a fun learning environment and motivated students to develop a greater interest in mathematics. By using the abacus as a learning tool, students more easily understood basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. In addition to improving mathematical skills, this training also boosted students' confidence and improved their perception of mathematics. Teachers were actively involved by receiving special training so they could independently continue using this method. Support from parents further strengthened the success of the program, with reports indicating that children were more enthusiastic about learning mathematics at home. Challenges such as differences in students' abilities and the limited training time were addressed through a flexible approach and additional tutoring sessions. The impact of this activity was felt not only within the school but also opened up opportunities for further development. Future plans include expanding the training scope to higher grade levels, introducing more complex materials, and organizing abacus arithmetic competitions. This program shows great potential to sustainably improve the quality of mathematics education through close collaboration among teachers, students, and parents.

Abstract

Prisons have many problems, raising curiosity to explore further the ways of inmates in adapting and socializing. Inmates who are in prisons tend to be able to experience psychological pressure where they are separated from their families, have difficulty taking control of themselves, lose their models, which makes these psychological problems arise. The inmates hope to be accepted by the community. The problem of Lapas Kelas II prison partners is the lack of educators who have the competence to provide education and training to inmates whose prison sentences are almost complete in order to reduce their anxiety when they re-enter the community. The coaching results showed that the behavior change and the improvement of the participants' communication asertive behavior varied greatly. This can be seen in succession of the highest to low scores related to the level of communication skills. Andikpas experienced the most significant behavioral changes in treatment using coaching techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to explore fun learning strategies based on the environment to enhance students' motivation in elementary schools. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation in several elementary schools. The findings indicate that utilizing the environment as a learning resource can create more interactive, contextual, and meaningful learning experiences for students. Various strategies, such as direct exploration, educational games, and project-based activities, have been proven to increase students' interest, engagement, and motivation in the learning process. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the crucial role of teachers in designing and implementing enjoyable learning strategies by leveraging the surrounding environment. Support from schools and parents also plays a vital role in the success of these strategies. Therefore, implementing environment-based learning should continue to be developed to create more engaging and effective learning experiences for elementary school students.

Abstract

Islamic education holds a strategic position in shaping individuals' mindsets and character within an increasingly diverse society. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in addressing multiculturalism, particularly in the context of cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative approach through an in-depth literature review of relevant studies on Islamic education and multiculturalism. The findings indicate that Islamic education, with its principles of universality and inclusivity, serves as an effective instrument in instilling values of tolerance, respect for differences, and social harmony. However, its implementation still faces challenges, such as exclusivism and interpretative bias. In conclusion, Islamic education must continue to adapt to play a significant role in building a multicultural, inclusive, and harmonious society. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening the integration of multicultural values into the Islamic education curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of SQRW (Survey, Question, Read, Write) strategy in maximizing the reading comprehension of the Indonesian vocational students. 17 students from Culinary Art as the experimental group and 17 students from Hospitality Management as the control group at the population of SMKN 3 Parepare. The quasi-experimental design was used in this research. The pretest and posttest result revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group reading comprehension, where the mean score increase from 48.23 to 68.17. The t-test value for the posttest was 3.06, exceeding the t-table value 2.037 (df=32, α=0.05). It is indicated that SQRW is significantly improve the students reading comprehension. Consequently, SQRW strategy can be recommended as viable strategy to enhance the reading comprehension among the vocational students.

Abstract

Interactive regional maps are one solution for visualizing geographic information accurately, practically, and easily accessible to the public. This activity aims to compile an interactive regional map in Padukuhan Sambilegi Lor, Maguwoharjo. Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, to support development planning, identification of local potential, disaster mitigation, and promotion of local resource-based tourism. Mapmaking is carried out through several stages, namely preparation, field data collection, data processing with GIS software, validation with the community, and publication of the final results. This map is able to identify potential areas, such as rivers and springs, that can be developed as tourist destinations, as well as displaying important data such as area boundaries, evacuation routes, and public facilities. By involving the community at every stage, this map is expected to increase community participation in village management and support information transparency. The results of this activity are not only useful as a geographic documentation tool but also as a catalyst for inclusive, sustainable, and data-based community development.Keywords: Interactive regional map, sustainable development, Sambilegi Lor, Maguwoharjo.

Abstract

The Indonesian election presents significant technical and non-technical challenges for Polling Station Working Groups (KPPS), such as lack of regulatory understanding, conflicts at polling stations, and inefficient time management. This study aims to enhance KPPS competence through technical guidance, including training on electoral regulations, technical procedures, conflict resolution, and result reporting. Evaluation revealed a significant improvement in participants' understanding, with average pre-test scores rising from 64.2 to 88.5 in the post-test. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of technical guidance in preparing KPPS to address electoral challenges.

Abstract

In the food and beverage sales sector, these challenges become increasingly complex due to the high dynamics of transactions, such as purchasing raw materials, recording daily income, and managing profits. Based on previous research, many food and beverage SME's still rely on manual record-keeping or do not record their transactions at all. The lack of understanding and skills in using modern financial recording systems is one of the main factors. In today's digital era, the use of information technology, such as simple and user-friendly financial recording applications, can be a solution. However, adopting such technology requires education and guidance for SME's practitioners to enable them to utilize it optimally. The method applied in this community service was implemented at one of the SME's in Surabaya, namely Mama Mili SME's, which sells food and beverages offline. Training on the application of the system was conducted through the SiAPik application. Mama Mili SME's greatly benefited from recording its sales transactions, with the simplest advantage being the calculation of profits from product sales.

Abstract

With developments in automotive technology, headlamps also continue to experience innovation. Retrofit modification is a modification made to the lighting sector, whether motorbike or car, which is felt to be less bright by adding a projector (projie) or BiLED which is installed in the car's headlamp or foglamp, while the mini projector will generally be installed in the car grill. The purpose of this writing is to determine whether the sales accounting system and installation of the mini project on the grill are in accordance with the elements of the sales accounting system. The limitation of writing is that the author only examines the suitability of sales accounting elements and the installation of mini projects in car grills on Turbo LEDs in Mojokerto City, East Java. Implementation of mentoring activities is carried out in several stages. These stages are conducting a survey of the existing system, identifying the information needed, identifying system requirements and compiling a system analysis report. In conclusion, LED Turbo still uses a manual system, namely the transaction process still uses a manual system, daily recording is carried out in the cash sales accounting system in the shop it is still not optimal and simple, and there are no recordings in general journals and in terms of accounting records related to the sales accounting system, the accounting records are incomplete

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of Rondo training on futsal attacking skills. The research employs an experimental method with a sample of 10 players from MAN 1 Kota Gorontalo. Data collection was conducted using Game Situation tests, analyzed through both descriptive and inferential statistical methods to test the research hypotheses. Based on the t-test data analysis for attacking skills, the observed value (-4.177) with a significance level of 0.002 0.05 indicates that Rondo training has an effect on futsal attacking skills. These results show a significant influence of Rondo training on the attacking skills of the MAN 1 Kota Gorontalo futsal team.
