Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of human resource (HR) strategies on organizational performance at universities in Balikpapan. Utilizing a qualitative approach, data was gathered from 12 universities to examine how HR practices influence teaching quality, research, services, and institutional competitiveness. The findings indicate that universities with rigorous recruitment and selection processes tend to have more qualified staff, enhancing the quality of education and services. Regular training and development programs lead to increased competency and productivity among employees, fostering innovation and adaptability. Comprehensive performance management systems, including feedback and rewards, boost employee motivation and accountability, further improving institutional outputs. Competitive compensation and benefits packages attract and retain high-quality staff, resulting in greater employee satisfaction and loyalty. Lastly, a positive organizational culture and high employee engagement correlate with increased job satisfaction, productivity, and innovation. Overall, effective HR strategies are crucial for enhancing the performance and competitiveness of universities in Balikpapan.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the Analysis of the Use of Online Personnel Applications (KEPO) on Personnel Data Management, Personnel Agency and Human Resources Development (BKPSDM) in Solok City, in making a breakthrough in the digital world of employees throughout Solok City. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation and documentation. The type of data used is qualitative and the data source uses primary data sources. The data analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The employee data used in this research was 41 people, consisting of Head of Section, Head of Subdivision and General Functional Staff (BKPSDM). The research results show that a comparative analysis of employee absence management, before and after using the Kepo application to make a breakthrough in the digital world of employees throughout Solok City, can make data management easier. Most application processing systems initially followed a manual processing system design using a fingerprint machine so that the processing of personnel data was slow which could result in slow delivery of information. The use of the KEPO (Online Personnel) application, which is an application that will make it easier to carry out personnel administration, store personnel data digitally, and make the process of managing personnel administration easier compared to previously using a fingerprint machine for attendance is the right choice compared to others.

Abstract

Kwartir Cabang Gerakan Pramuka Kota Pekalongan dihadapkan pada tantangan untuk beradaptasi dan berinovasi dalam pengelolaan manajemen organisasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses inovasi manajemen organisasi pada Kwartir Cabang Gerakan Pramuka Kota Pekalongan melalui tagline #pramukakotapekalonganbergerak. Metode penelitian yang dipakai ialah kuantitatif disertai teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, wawancara beserta study dokumen. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa tagline #pramukakotapekalonganbergerak sebagai perubahan mindset dalam inovasi organisasi telah berpengaruh pada perubahan inovasi manajemen organisasi pada Kwartir Cabang Gerakan Pramuka Kota Pekalongan, yaitu pada inovasi administrasi (administrative innovation), inovasi teknologi (technology innovation), inovasi proses/operasional (process innovation).

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of Social Media Marketing (SMM) and Destination Image on Tourist Satisfaction, with Visiting Decision serving as a mediating variable. Utilizing a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with Warp PLS 8.0 software, the research encompasses a population of both international and local tourists visiting Jember Regency. Data collection involved incidental sampling and a structured questionnaire, with a sample size of 150 respondents. The findings reveal that SMM and Destination Image significantly influence both Visiting Decision and Tourist Satisfaction. SMM directly enhances tourist satisfaction (β = 0.24, P < 0.01) and affects visiting decisions (β = 0.42, P < 0.01), while Destination Image also positively impacts tourist satisfaction (β = 0.15, P = 0.03) and visiting decisions (β = 0.43, P < 0.01). Moreover, Visiting Decision significantly mediates the relationship between SMM (β = 0.20, P < 0.01), Destination Image (β = 0.21, P < 0.01), and Tourist Satisfaction. These results underscore the need for optimized SMM strategies and a positive destination image to improve tourist satisfaction and visiting decisions in Jember Regency. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders to enhance tourism strategies, ensuring a satisfying and memorable tourist experience.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of employee engagement and work behavior on the performance of employees at the Department of Education in Jember Regency, with work-life balance serving as a mediating variable. The research population includes all employees of the Department of Education in Jember Regency, with a sample size of 115 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Warp PLS software. The findings indicate that both employee engagement and work behavior positively and significantly influence work-life balance. In turn, work-life balance positively and significantly affects employee performance. Additionally, work-life balance serves as a significant mediating variable in the relationship between employee engagement, work behavior, and employee performance. These results underscore the importance of employee engagement and work behavior in fostering a balance between work and personal life, which ultimately enhances employee performance. The practical implications of this study highlight the need for programs that support employee engagement and positive work behavior to strengthen work-life balance, thereby contributing to improved employee performance at the Department of Education in Jember Regency.

Abstract

This research is categorized into hypothesis testing. The type of this research is quantitative. This research aims to analyze the influence of product quality on customer satisfaction, service quality influences customer satisfaction, brand image influences customer satisfaction, and price appropriateness influences customer satisfaction with Scarlett Whitening products. The samples taken were 100 respondents who were consumers of Scarlett Whitening products who bought the product twice. This research uses the Purposive Sampling method with the technique used in this research using a questionnaire. Based on the results of this research, it was found that product quality does not have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, this is proven by the t-count value of -0.432 and a significant value of 0.66 > 0.05. Service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction as evidenced by the t-count value of 4.223 and a significant value of 0.00 <0.05. Brand image has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction as evidenced by the t-value of 5.669 and a significant value of 0.00 <0.05. Price feasibility does not have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction as evidenced by the t-value of -0.361 and a significant value of 0.71>0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and evaluate the leadership strategies applied by the leadership of the Bi Ashokal Hajar Foundation in improving the quality of education at various levels of education. The research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, involving observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results show that the strategic leadership applied by the foundation leaders has a positive impact on the quality of education. Foundation leaders are able to direct, motivate and create a conducive working environment, which contributes to improving staff performance and loyalty as well as education quality. Support for educators' innovation and professional development is also a key factor in achieving higher educational goals. Recommendations provided by respondents highlighted the importance of improving learning facilities, developing training programs and effective communication between leaders and staff. This research provides valuable insights for other educational institutions in optimizing the role of strategic leadership to improve education quality. The findings are in line with previous research that emphasizes the importance of effective leadership styles and a supportive work environment in improving educational performance and quality

Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of the work environment and professionalism on teacher performance at SMP N 3 Gunung Talang, Solok Regency. The type of research used is descriptive correlative research. Correlative descriptive is a research method that aims to see the relationship between two or more variables. The variable that influences is the independent variable (X), while the variable that is affected by the independent variable is called the dependent variable (Y). Based on the research results, the multiple linear regression equation is Y = 17.868 -0.063X1 +0.603X2 +e The constant value is 17.868. The research results determined the determination value with an Rsquare of 0.605 or 60.5%. H1 is accepted with a tcount value of -0.554 < ttable 2.051 and a significance value greater than α 0.05 (0.584 > 0.05), H2 is accepted with a tcount value of 6.394 < ttable 2.051 and a significance value smaller than α 0.05 ( 0.000 > 0.05). H3 does not have a significant and simultaneous influence on teacher performance with an Fcount value of 20.642 < Ftable 3.34 and a significance value of 0.000 > 0.05.

Abstract

In the Broiler Chicken farming industry, Food loss and Waste (FLW) is a big challenge that affects production efficiency and environmental sustainability. The use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is expected to improve control and monitoring of various aspects of production, from environmental conditions to chicken health, which can ultimately minimize food losses and waste. The method used in this research is a quantitative method, which involves collecting data through direct observation, interviews and distributing questionnaires. Observations were made on broiler chicken farms that had implemented IoT technology. The data collected is then analyzed to understand the impact of using IoT on production efficiency and reducing food loss and waste. The research results show that implementing an IoT technology can significantly increase the operational efficiency of broiler chicken farms. IoT sensors installed at various critical points of the farm help monitor temperature, humidity and air quality conditions, as well as provide real-time information about the health of chickens. With accurate and real-time data, farmers can take preventative action more quickly, thereby reducing the risk of chicken death and food waste. The aim of this research shows that broiler chicken farms that use IoT technology experience improvements in environmental management and chicken health, which contribute to reducing food loss and waste. Broiler chicken productivity also increases due to a more controlled environment and more effective management. In conclusion, the integration of IoT technology in broiler chicken farming production is an effective solution to reduce FLW and increase the sustainability and efficiency of the Broiler Chicken farming industry
