Abstract

The text of Joko Widodo's speech when he was inaugurated as President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019-2024 represents a five-year work plan and at the same time building Indonesia's advanced discourse. Thus, this study aims to examine and deepen the discourse using the Norman Fairclough critical discourse analysis framework. This study found that at the level of text analysis, Joko Widodo chose to use figures of speech or imagery as well as the interpretation of certain parts as the guardians of his intentions or ideas. Then at the level of discourse practice analysis, researchers found that there was a link between Joko Widodo's life experience and the direction of his policy despite positive and negative reactions to the content of the speech. Finally, at the level of analysis of sociocultural practices, researchers found that the text of Joko Widodo's speech departed from the condition of the Indonesian people during 2014 to 2019

Abstract

This study begins with the researcher's assumption that besides facilities and systems effective learning, there are other factors that participate in influencing students of SMAN 1 Mataram to be favorite school to other schools, namely the influence of the internal factors of the students themselves, such as learning motivation of students. Therefore the researcher feels it is necessary to investigate further, to ensure that the achievement or intellectual intelligence of students at SMAN 1 Mataram is built from within the students' personal. This study uses quantitative research with a non-experimental approach. The population was students of SMAN 1 Mataram, the sample was taken using random class. Data analysis uses the product moment correlation statistical formula. The results obtained by the relation of variables between students' learning motivation (X) with intellectual intelligence of students (Y) obtained by Fcount of 17.41 with Ftable of 3.34 at a confidence level of 0.05, it can be said that there is a significant relations where Fcount > Ftable. In other words the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and (Ho) is rejected. This can be explained that in addition to facilities and adequate learning environment conditions, students of SMAN 1 Mataram have a good level of motivation, so that it can affect the intellectual intelligence of students who study in the environment.

Abstract

The use of textbooks as a media in teaching learning processes especially in English Language Teaching cannot be denied. That’s why this present study is intended to investigate types of speaking activities presented in buku Bahasa Inggris for Tourism Vocational High School. The content of an English text book was described and analyzed by using a descriptive qualitative method. Buku Bahasa Inggris kelas X had been chosen as the source of data. The collected data were analyzed through some steps such as (1) classifying the data into types of speaking activities (Acting from Script, Communication Games, Discussions, Paper Talk, Questionnaires, Simulation and Role Play) and (2) identifying the dominant type of speaking activities. The result indicates buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas X contains six types of speaking activities and it is dominated by speaking activity of prepared talk

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the academic self-concept on the independence of learning class VI students during the pandemic. Research in the background is a problem that many students lack self-reliance in learning at an elementary school education level, especially when online-based learning is enforced during the pandemic. In addition, when exams are many students who are unable to work on their own and ask a friend next to him when the exam is in progress. This research uses a quantitative-descriptive approach. This type of research is correlation research. The subject in this study amounted to 40 students. The variables studied are self-concept academic and self-learning independent students. Data is collected through the self-learning concept of academic and student self-reliance. From the analysis results using the correlation analysis of product-moment with the help of SPSS version 23.0, obtained R table results with N = 70 and ? = 5%, is 0.235. While the Rcount obtained the magnitude of 0.769, then Rcountdown > Rtabel (0,769 > 0,235), meaning there is a positive and significant influence, consequently Ho rejected and Ha accepted. So, in conclusion "there is a positive and significant influence of the self-academic concept of learning Independence-class VI students". That means the higher the academic self-concept of students, the higher the independence of learning and vice versa when the self-academic concept is low then the student independence is low. Based on the results of the study students are expected to learn with self-awareness without the compulsion of parents or teachers and in learning not dependent on others. Teachers are expected to observe the students ' academic self-concept and strive to improve it so that students can have high self-reliance learning and can complete their study tasks perfectly.

Abstract

Dialogue is a way of being in the Church in a world characterized by religious and cultural diversity. This study aims to explore the interreligious dialogue of the traders at the Inpres Ruteng market. This research is urgent because the Inpres Ruteng market is a miniature of religious pluralism. This research uses a qualitative approach. The main instruments in collecting data were in-depth interviews and observations. The findings of this study indicate that two types of dialogue have been practiced by traders in Ruteng Inpres market, namely the dialogue of life and dialogue of works. These two types of dialogue have become part of the way of life of Catholic and Muslim traders in the Ruteng Inpres market. Two types of dialogue that have not yet appeared are the dialogue of faith experience and the theological dialogue. It is hoped that the strength of the dialogue on life and the dialogue of work is expected to be the strength to create a holistic and integral transformation in the lives of traders in the Ruteng Inpres market. Based on the findings of this study, the following two recommendations should be made. First, faith dialogue and theological dialogue need to be developed in order to build an adequate understanding of the uniques of the teachings of other religions. Developing a dialogue of faith and theological dialogue needs to be facilitated by the leaders of each religion. Second, further research is expected to focus on efforts to portray potential conflicts in the relationship between Catholic traders and Muslims in the Inpres Ruteng market. This is important so that the planning of preventive steps to prevent conflict can be done properly and measured.

Abstract

Learning achievement is very important to summarize the results of the learning process that has been done so far. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence of learning achievement. Quantitative design study with cross sectional approach. 125 students of the Midwifery Study Program at STIKes Maranatha Kupang were selected as the randomly selected sample of the 278 female student population. The study was conducted in August 2020. Data was collected using questionnaires, attendance records, and student KHS (Study Result Cards). Data analysis used ordinal regression with the SPPS 22 application with a significance of p?0.05. The results showed that the factors that affecting of student learning achievement were the student attendance rate in class (0.002), the role of the academic supervisor (p = 0.001), and student learning motivation (0.000). Achievement of good student learning achievement is not only determined by intrinsic factors such as motivation, but can also be influenced by extrinsic factors such as attendance levels and the role of supervisors.

Abstract

Science process skills (SPS) are important for students to have because they are part of psychomotor competencies, which support students in the process of gaining knowledge. This research was conducted to provide an overview of the psychomotor abilities in the form of student SPS. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. There are two types of data collected in the study. The first data on SPS were collected by providing 20 multiple-choice questions that deal with the eight types of process skills. The second data is in the form of interviews relating to teachers' knowledge of SPS and learning approaches in teaching biology. The data sources came from 287 grade XI students with a specialization in mathematics and natural sciences and four teachers who teach biology from four different schools. The SPS data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that the students' SPS is at a moderate level. Of the eight SPS tested on students, communication skills were the skills that got the highest score where 73.9% of students had these skills while concluding skills were the lowest skills where only 36.4% of students could have these skills. The results of the interview with the teacher show the fact that the lecture method is a method that is often applied by teachers when teaching biology. Practicum is rarely done by teachers for various reasons. Practicum in biology learning is important because with it students interact directly with objects of observation and can empower various competencies to answer problems in biology, including SPS.

Abstract

This study (1) determine whether the application of inquiry method based on audio visual in Bali museum can foster student motivation to learn, (2) Determine whether the application of inquiry method based on audio visual museum Bali can raise awareness of student history. This research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles with the research subjects of all third semester students of the Department of History Education at Mahasaraswati Denpasar University in the 2017-2018 academic year as many as 26 people. The method used in this research is the inquiry method. The results of the discussion show that the learning motivation of students has increased which is indicated by the indicator of student curiosity increasing after being tracked using a motivation questionnaire in the learning process. Meanwhile, if it is calculated into numbers, in the first cycle, 16 students have not yet achieved completeness and 10 students have reached completeness. In the second cycle, there was an increase of 17 students whose score was 90, 3 students got a score of 110 while 6 students got a score of 100, thus it could be said that there had been a significant change in student learning motivation. The aspect of historical awareness refers to the score range (100-120 Very good) (90-99 Good) (80-89 Enough) (70-79 Poor) (60-69 Very poor). The results show that the data analysis of the historical awareness questionnaire test of history learning in the first cycle, there are 13 students who get the lowest score. 1 person gets a score of 77, 1 person gets a score of 78.2 people get a score of 79 and 2 people get a score of 80, 1 student gets a score of 86, 3 students get a score of 88, and 3 students get a score of 89. Based on the scoring guidelines found on the observation sheet, the classification is at a sufficient level. In cycle II, 19 students got a score above 90. 1 person got a score of 112, 3 people got a score of 103. 3 people got a score of 120. Based on the scoring guidelines contained in the observation sheet, the classification is at a very good level.

Abstract

The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic has made learning that was originally face-to-face turning online, of course, brings new problems in learning, especially in practical learning. One of the efforts was to fulfill needs learning is through the use of media who had played a role as a tool or an intermediary that support the teaching process .In relation to this matter one of the media learning that can be used is a video. This study aims to develop PNPR 2 learning videos to facilitate learning by producing various independent learning resources in the form of instructional videos that can be used according to learning needs. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D) using the Derek Rowntree product development model with three stages, namely: a) the planning stage; b) the development stage (development); c) the evaluation stage (formative evaluation). Product effectiveness testing is carried out by providing advice and input from colleagues (one to one person). The results of this study indicate that (1) the development of instructional videos that was much as 87% is considered clear and effective for use in the learning process more broadly. Meanwhile, to measure the effectiveness of using PNPR 2 learning videos is to conduct performance tests on full stop, as such it was found that the percentage of student learning outcomes after using PNPR 2 learning videos was that 89% of students to display good performance, 11 % poor practice well or said wrong. Thus the PNPR 2 learning video is considered effective to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VII.5 SMP Widiatmika. The main topic of the linear equations and inequalities of one variable during mathematics learning through the application of blended learning assisted by instructional videos. There are several factors that affect the learning outcomes of students in grade VII.5 SMP Widiatmika. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle is carried out for 3 meetings, namely 2 meetings for action parts and 1 meeting to conduct the final cycle test. The test used to collect student learning outcomes is in the form of multiple choice questions consisting of 30 questions. The application of blended learning based on video learning is proven to be successful in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII.5 students of SMP Widiatmika. It can be seen from the average student learning outcomes which have increased from first cycle to the next cycle, the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle is 62,67 with the percentage of completeness is 56%; The average student learning outcomes in cycle II was 80,20 with the percentage of student completeness was 80%
