Abstract

Effective learning necessitates creative media that can present content in a captivating and comprehensible way. This study was conducted to determine 1) the appropriateness of the educational media, 2) the cognitive achievements of the students, and 3) the feedback from students in class XI TKKR at SMKN 1 Pacitan. The method chosen is Research and Development (R&D) utilizing the ADDIE model, which includes five essential phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The flipbook was designed using Canva and then uploaded to the Heyzine platform, which resulted in an appealing and user-friendly digital book format. The validation process involves six evaluators, consisting of experts in content, media, and language. Data was gathered via observations, assessments of learning outcomes, and surveys regarding student responses. The evaluation of the flipbook-based interactive learning media resulted in an overall average rating of 4.64, classifying it as "very good." The analysis of learning performance indicated excellent criteria, yielding an average score of 82.5, with 87% of the students achieving completion. Furthermore, the students' feedback regarding the learning media was highly favorable, with an average score of 4.42, categorized as "Very Good." Through this research, it was concluded that Flipbook is effective in fostering students' understanding and learning motivation, while also serving as an innovation to overcome the limitations of traditional learning media in vocational schools.

Abstract

Laboratorium sebagai tempat kerja juga harus memperhatikan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) terutama laboratorium pendidikan. Penelitian ini bermaksud guna menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) dengan penerapan K3 pada siswa jurusan Tata Kecantikan di Laboratorium Kulit dan Rambut SMKN 6 Surabaya. Metode yang dipergunakan di penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas X jurusan Tata Kecantikan, dengan sampel sebanyak 32 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang dipergunakan di penelitian ini ialah soal pilihan ganda dan lembar observasi. Analisis data mempergunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan Uji Koefisien Determinasi. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwasannya pengetahuan siswa tentang K3 terkategori sangat baik dengan persentase 90%. Implementasi K3 juga menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik dengan persentase 94%. Analisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson memperlihatkan didapatinya korelasi yang signifikan diantara pengetahuan K3 dan penerapan K3, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,838, yang mengindikasikan hubungan yang sangat kuat. Koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa 70,2% variasi dalam penerapan K3 dapat dijelaskan oleh pengetahuan K3. Berdasar temuan penelitian ini, bisa diambil kesimpulan bahwasannya pengetahuan K3 yang baik berkontribusi positif terhadap penerapan K3 di laboratorium. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi siswa agar terus meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran akan K3 guna menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang sehat dan aman, menciptakan lingkungan laboratorium yang aman bagi siswa di jurusan Tata Kecantikan SMKN 6 Surabaya. Abstract

Palembang people's interest in the selection of bridal makeup in the implementation of marriage. The purpose of this study was to determine the public interest in Siger Sunda bridal makeup in Palembang and the factors that influence the interest of Palembang people related to the cultural customs of Palembang society. This research method is observation, interview and questionnaire method conducted in Palembang city, Seberang Ulu I and II sub-districts. Data analysis techniques using descriptive with quantitative methods, which are intended to describe the accurate state or facts of the observed object as many as 50 brides-to-be with Total Sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the interest of prospective brides in the selection of Sundanese Siger makeup in Seberang Ulu I and II Districts is the most dominant indicator of internal factors with high criteria as much as 0.2%. Based on these results, the average interest in internal factors of prospective brides in choosing Sundanese Siger makeup is 79% with high criteria. Prospective brides choose makeup that is attractive and suits their personality such as Sundanese Siger, which reflects beauty. However, cost is also an important consideration for choosing Siger Sunda makeup because it is simpler and more economical. Keywords: Palembang Community Interest, Culture, Aesan Gede Bridal Makeup.

Abstract

Practical learning of stage makeup for deaf students often faces obstacles due to the lack of accessible media that supports visual communication, particularly those utilizing the Indonesian Sign System (SIBI). Therefore, this study aimed to: (1) develop a SIBI-based video tutorial as an instructional medium for stage makeup competence; (2) assess the feasibility of the developed media; (3) measure students’ psychomotor learning outcomes after using the media; and (4) evaluate student responses to the SIBI-based video tutorial at SMALB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya. This research employed the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The results showed that: (1) the media was successfully developed in the form of a ±7-minute video tutorial that integrated practical demonstrations, text, audio, and SIBI in a systematic manner; (2) the feasibility validation reached an average score of 88%, with media experts rating it at 92% (highly feasible), and both material and language experts giving 86% (feasible); (3) students' psychomotor learning outcomes improved, with the average knowledge test score increasing from 44.29 (pre-test) to 79.29 (post-test), and all students achieving psychomotor scores above the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP), with an average of 83.8; and (4) student responses to the media were highly positive, with an average score of 4.35. These findings indicate that the SIBI-based video tutorial is both effective and feasible for use in practical learning among deaf students. Abstract

Effective learning models have an important role in supporting the success of the learning process, so that it can improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) The syntax implementation of the quantum teaching learning model; 2) Student activiity; 3) Learning outcomes; and 4) Student responses. The research method used was quantitative, with a pre-experimental approach using one group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of this study were 30 class X TKKR students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collectiion technique consisted 1) Observation, 2) Test; 3) Questionnaire. The data analysis technique for syntax implementation, student activity, affective learning outcomes, psychomotor and student responses used the average, while the analysis of cognitive learning outcomes improvement used the Wilcoxon signed ranks test assisted by SPSS version 22. The results showed: 1) Analysis of syntax implementation was 100%; 2) Analysis of activiity obtained an average 3.76; 3) Analysis of cognitive learning outcomes obtained an average pre-test score of 65.1 and a post-test score of 85.8, the results of the hypothesis test obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05, it was concluded that there was a significant difference in cognitive learning outcomes between before and after the quantum teaching learning model was implemented. Affective learning outcomes obtained an average of 3.70, psychomotor learning outcomes obtained an average of 3.74 which means that affective and psychomotor learning outcomes are very good; and 4) studentt responses obtained an average of 4.59 which means very good. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes between before and after the implementation of the quantum teaching learning model with a very good response. Abstract

The low understanding of beauty students at SMKN 3 Kota Kediri regarding knowledge of hair anatomy and phishyology which is the basic of knowledge for practicing hair curling This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge of hair anatomy and physiology and the ability to practice hair curling in grade XI students majoring in Beauty at SMKN 3 Kota Kediri. The research methot used is quantitative deskriptive with a correlational approach. The subjects of the study consisted of 30 students, with data collection through knowledge tests and performance/practice observation sheets. The result showed that the average knowledge of student was included in the very good category(87.33%), and the ability to practice was also classified as good with an avarage value of 83.5. The pearson correlation the showed significant relationship between knowledge of hair anatomy and physiology and the ability to practice curling with a correlation value of 0.685 (p < 0,05), Which indicates a strong level of relationship. In conclusion, the higher the students' knowledge of hair anatomy and physiology, the better their curling practice skills.

Abstract

Flip PDF Professional as a learning media that can create a more interesting learning atmosphere. The purpose of the study was to determine the results of the development of learning media, the feasibility of learning media, learning outcomes, and student responses. The research method used was Research & Development (R&D). The results of the study showed that e-books were developed with limited define, design, develop, and dissaminate stages, e-book media can be accessed via links and barcodes, the result of the media feasibility test got an average percentage of 88% in the very feasible category, psychomotor learning outcomes got an average of 86> KKTP 80 which means complete, and student responses got an average percentage of 93% in the very good category. The results of the study showed that e-books based professional flip PDF were effective for learning.

Abstract

Bridal makeup plays an important role in supporting the appearance of the bride, especially for brides who have acne-prone skin. The selection of the right foundation and application tools greatly affects the final result of the makeup. This study aims to analyze the differences in the results of foundation application using a beauty blender, brush, and a combination of both on acne-prone skin in International bridal makeup. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The subjects consisted of three models with similar acne-prone skin characteristics, and involved 30 panelists. Data were collected through observation using research instruments and analyzed descriptively and through a one-way ANOVA test. The results showed a significance value of 0.00 (p <0.05), which indicated a significant difference between the three foundation application methods. The average assessment score showed that the application using a beauty blender scored 22.1 (fairly good category), a brush scored 23.3 (good category), and a combination of both scored the highest, namely 24.4 (very good category). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of a combination of a brush and a beauty blender provides the most optimal results in applying foundation to acne-prone skin in International bridal makeup. Abstract

This research is motivated bythe students need to enhance their interest and learning outcomes in skills aspects. The aim of this research is to develop effective learning media for the learning process in the competency of geriatric facial makeup.Therealityat SMKN 1 Buduran shows a lack of learningmedia facilities toimprove the skills required by the students and that these are not suitable for the characteristics of the students at SMKN 1 Buduran. The main objectives of this research specifically consist of four points: 1) To develop video-based learning media, 2) To assess the feasibility of the developed video learning media, 3) To know the students' responses to the developed learning media, 4) To measure students' learning outcomes in the skills aspect. This research employs the R&D method byBorg and Gall.Theresearch sample consists of 36 students from class XI HD MUA at SMKN 1 Buduran. Data collection was carried out through interviews, feasibility validation tests, student response questionnaires, and performance tests based on performance assessmentrubrics. The feasibility validation score from 3 expertsreceived an average total score of 4.60, which falls into the 'verygood' category. The results from 36 students received positive feedback, resulting in an average total score of 4.65, also falling into the 'very good' category. Student learning outcomes in the skill aspect showed the effectiveness of this media, achieving an average total score of 87.3. Therefore, the development of learning media in this research can be said to be successful in enhancing students' interest and learning outcomes both in a classical and individual manner in the material of geriatric facial makeup competency. Abstract

Current technological developments have a great influence on the creation of learning media that support learning outcomes. One of the influences of technological developments is the existence of learning media in the form of powtoon videos. This powtoon video is an IT-based web application that has image and audio features. This powtoon video learning media is very easy to access by teachers so that it can help create interesting learning for students. This study aims to determine 1) the feasibility of powtoon video media, 2) student learning outcomes and 3) student responses to the application of powtoon videos to medium hush cut hair cutting material at SMK Negeri Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one shoot case study design, involving 31 grade XI Beauty students. Data were obtained through media validation, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires. The validation results showed that powtoon media was very feasible to use with an average of 90.33%. The average student learning outcomes reached 86.38 with 58% in the very good category and 42% in the good category. The students' response to this media was also very positive with a percentage of 97.86%. Thus, the powtoon video media is effective in improving students' understanding and skills in learning hair cutting.
