Abstract

Major changes in education in the digital age have encouraged non-formal institutions to innovate, including the KUBA program in Malang. Limited space, time, and resources have made digital technology a key strategy for expanding access and supporting contextual learning. This study analyzes the use of digital technology in Arabic language learning at KUBA Malang, focusing on teacher strategies, participant engagement, and challenges encountered. A qualitative case study was applied, with data collected through semi-structured interviews and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model with triangulation of sources. The results show that KUBA integrates Google Meet for online classes, WhatsApp for coordination, and Quizizz for assessment. Innovations are seen in digital comics, animated videos, and native speaker audio, which facilitate vocabulary learning and improve speaking skills. The main challenge is unstable internet connection, which is overcome by providing class recordings for students who cannot attend or experience technical problems. KUBA also offers guidance in routine speaking activities to support material and mental readiness. This study concludes that creative digital media at KUBA Malang not only expands access but also offers an innovative approach that is relevant to non-formal education in the digital era.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in secondary schools still faces challenges related to low student motivation and learning outcomes due to the use of traditional teaching methods. This study aims to determine the effect of using Lumi Education on students’ motivation and Arabic language learning outcomes at a public senior high school in Batu. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest model involving experimental and control groups, consisting of 60 seventh-grade students. Data were collected through observation, motivation questionnaires, and achievement tests covering vocabulary, grammar, and phonetics. The data were analyzed using SPSS 26 through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. The results showed that the use of Lumi Education significantly increased students’ learning motivation (80.13%) compared to the control group (62.6%) and improved learning outcomes, with a posttest mean score of 79.2 in the experimental group and 72.13 in the control group. This study contributes to the development of effective and innovative Arabic language learning based on digital media.

Abstract

The rapid development of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for interactive and adaptive learning media in Arabic language education. Tools such as ChatGPT and Chatbot AI enable dialogic interaction, immediate feedback, and personalized learning experiences that support students in practicing language skills and accessing learning resources. However, existing studies on generative AI in Arabic language learning often focus primarily on learning outcomes, while the role of these technologies in supporting students’ learning strategies has received limited systematic attention. This study aims to systematically examine the forms and pedagogical characteristics of generative AI-based learning media, analyze their association with the development of students’ learning strategies, and identify pedagogical and contextual challenges in implementation. This research employs a qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by the PRISMA framework, with interpretation supported by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Fifteen studies published between 2021 and 2025 were selected from Google Scholar and Crossref databases based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that ChatGPT and Chatbot AI are widely used to support speaking, writing, translation practice, adaptive feedback, and independent learning in Arabic language learning. These technologies function as external scaffolds that facilitate learning planning, resource management, and learning process monitoring. The study concludes that generative AI has significant potential to support strategic learning development in Arabic language education, although its implementation still faces challenges related to linguistic accuracy, ethical considerations, and disparities in digital literacy and technological infrastructure.

Abstract

his study analyzes the rhythm (wazan) and moral messages in the qasīdah “ʾA min ʾUmmī ʾAwfā Dimnatun Lam Takallamī” by Zuhayr Ibn Abī Sulmā using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were taken from the poetic text published on the website aldiwan.net, while the data collection technique was conducted through library research and analyzed using the study of ʿarūḍ to determine the type of baḥr and rhythmic variations, namely ziḥāf and ‘illat. The moral messages were then interpreted based on their types and forms. The results show that this qasīdah employs baḥr ṭawīl with a consistent basic pattern, although it frequently undergoes modifications due to the ziḥāf qabḍ. In verse 30, there is also an occurrence of the ‘illat ḥażf. In terms of morality, the most dominant message concerns human relationships with others 30 verses, followed by relationships with oneself 26 verses, and lastly relationships with God 3 verses. Regarding the forms of moral expression, exemplary conduct is the most dominant 30 verses, followed by warnings 21 verses and advice 8 verses, affirming the qasīdah’s character as an ethical reflection on peace, social responsibility, and wisdom in confronting conflict. These findings confirm that the qaṣīdah not only presents the beauty of rhythmic structure within the tradition of ʿarūḍ, but also conveys profound moral messages concerning social relationships, self-control, and human values. This study demonstrates that ʿarūḍ analysis is effective in revealing the relationship between rhythmic patterns and moral meaning in classical Arabic poetry, particularly in identifying the function of zihāf and ʿillat variations as part of both aesthetic and ethical expression in literary texts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the main challenges and strategies in improving financial management accountability at Muslimeen Suksa Islamic Private School in Thailand. The research employs a qualitative case study approach. Primary data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with the principal as the person in charge of financial management and classroom teachers involved in budget implementation, supported by observation and document analysis. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that although financial management functions such as planning, implementation, recording, and reporting have been carried out, accountability has not been fully optimized due to limited human resource competence, weak internal control mechanisms, dependence on government funding, and limited digital financial systems. Accountability is reflected in documented financial reports and conformity between budget plans and realization; however, transparency and digital documentation still require strengthening. Therefore, integrated strategies including digitalization, capacity building, internal supervision, and standardized reporting are needed to enhance sustainable financial accountability. These findings affirm that strengthening institutional accountability is essential to ensure transparency, efficiency, and long-term sustainability of Islamic educational institutions.
