Abstract

Local wisdom has noble values that apply to community life, such as protecting and managing theenvironment in a sustainable manner. Human efforts in adapting, managing, and living in harmony withtheir environment are known as ethnoecology. The study aimed to analyze the conservation values of theKasboyo lake ecosystem in Kampar district, Riau. This study used a case study design with a qualitativeapproach. Data collection was carried out in the Simpang Petai Village, Rumbio Jaya District, KamparRegency, Riau Province. The research subjects consisted of six people consisting of traditional leaders,village officials, and local communities with snowball sampling. Data collection techniques using interviews,observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles-Huberman model, including data reduction,display, and concluding. The results showed that the local community had an agreement with the prohibitionof fishing, waste disposal, and environmental destruction. The local communities around the Kasboyo Lakearea have applied conservation principles. Local community knowledge contains conservation values,including environmental care, creativity, and humanism. So it is hoped that this local wisdom can be usedas a source of science learning to foster students' conservation character

Abstract

This research aims to validate the feasibility of VLog media with a science-edutaiment approach. Thisdevelopment research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, andEvaluation). This research was conducted at Bangkalan Public High School 5, a class VII student populationin the Solar System material. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a sample of one classVII G. The results showed that the developed profuk could be declared suitable for use with a percentageof media feasibility of 78.6%, feasibility of 92% and an average of 85.3% with very valid category. Based onthese results it can be stated that VLog media is feasible to use

Abstract

In the education quality survey issued by the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment),Indonesia is ranked 72nd out of 77 countries. The Teacher Competency Test (UKG) results in Indonesiaare still low and still far from being targeted by the government, especially in Aceh province Aceh at thenational level is still heartbreaking by being the second lowest in Indonesia. Seeing the problems faced byeducation in Indonesia, to improve the quality of education, the quality of teachers must be improvedfirst, one of which is by increasing the pedagogical competence of teachers. This study aims to know thepedagogical knowledge of physics teachers in SMA Negeri Lhokseumawe which includes aspects oflearning planning, aspects of learning methods and aspects of learning evaluation. The research wasconducted in the form of a survey with the population of this study was to take the entire physics subjectteachers at SMA Negeri Lhokseumawe, totaling 7 (seven) schools with 28 physics teachers. The samples inthis study were 3 schools that were taken by simple random sampling, namely 8 physics teachers at SMANegeri 2 Lhokseumawe, 3 physics teachers at SMA Negeri 5 Lhokseumawe, and SMA Negeri 7Lhokseumawe with 2 physics teachers. The results showed that the physics teacher's knowledge on thelearning planning aspect was in the category of having good knowledge, meanwhile the physics teacher'sknowledge on the learning method aspect already had a fairly good knowledge, while the physics teacher'sknowledge on the learning evaluation aspect also had fairly good knowledge. So it can be concluded thatphysics teachers in the pedagogical aspect are in a fairly good category, meaning that most physics teachersalready have a pretty good knowledge of pedagogical aspects.

Abstract

Protista are one of the the subject is quite broad and there are many Latin terms and objects, most of whichare micro organisms or living things that cannot be found and observed directly in everyday life, studentsare not enough to only have the ability to memorize but also need a complete understanding of the materialsuch as can classify and classify protista through morphological observations. So that students need a mediathat is interesting to them and easy to understand. The purpose of this research to see the effectiveness ofusing scrapbook media on student learning outcomes in class X protista material at SMA Negeri 6Pontianak. The form of the research is Quasi Experimental Design with the research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample of this research is class X MIA 2 (control class) and X MIA3 (experimental class). Intact Group sampling technique. The instrument used is a multiple choice test with20 questions. The average score of the experimental class students' learning outcomes was 15.40 while thecontrol class's average score was 14.39. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U test, Z count . isobtained < Z table with a value of -2.74 < -1.96 so that it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha isaccepted, where there are differences in the learning outcomes of students who are taught using scrapbookmedia and students who are taught using image media. Based on the results of the Effect Size learning usingscrapbook media, it got a value of 0.73 with the medium category meaning that the effectiveness of learningusing scrapbook media on protista material was classified as moderate in improving the learning outcomesof class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak by 26.73%.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the potential of intelligence and learning styles of learners usingdermatoglyphics analysis. This analysis very important to identify learners' characteristics as a basis forselecting a learning media. This research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research werelearners in grade 7th junior high school in Bandar Lampung. The research instrument was a recorderfingerprint reader tool for the pattern. The results shows, learners have the potential intelligence: visual-spatial (42%), logical-mathematical (31%), naturalist (17%), interpersonal (10%); the learning styles: visual(92%), kinesthetic (2%), and audio (0%). Based on the results and it’s associated with characteristics of theconcept structure and function of plants concepts, learning media which recommended: learners withvisual-spatial potential intelligence and visual learning style (V S+V) should use pictures, posters, flipcharts, magazines, modules, and pictorial worksheets; learners type of visual-spatial and kinesthetic (V-S+K) is more appropriate to use original media, torso, image; and learners type of naturalist andkinesthetic (N+K) can be stimulated through direct observation with cruising the nature around approach.In conclusion, dermatoglyphics analysis more accurate and faster than the survey method is often used.Also, by understanding various learners characteristics, teachers can choose the learning media inaccordance with learners needs.

Abstract

Practicum was a subject that was applicable to theory. In inorganic chemistry practicum, students weretrained to apply concepts through independent experiments. This experiment was motivated by severalobstacles, including: difficulty in materials and practicum tools, practicum waste management, and facilitiesavailability. This obstacle was challenged by opportunities in the form of using tools and materials, the usedof digital technology, and the space for student creativity. Therefore, the design of an inorganic practicumwas an independent practicum that starts with preparing a project, did the experiments to communicatingthe output. The research method was objective-oriented evaluative. The research sample was the fifthsemester students of the chemistry education study program, FKIP, Nusa Nipa University. Data collectingwas by interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data was analysed in descriptively and quantitatively.The results showed that the average ability of students in preparing projects, implementing, andcommunicating practicum results was 87.50%; 83.77% and 89.58%. The average ability was classified asgood, which was indicated by the creativity in creating practicum, using materials in everyday life andutilizing digital technology in creating practical outputs.

Abstract

Talking about the philosophy of science, it is necessary to ask yourself a question, the extent to which thisbranch of philosophy has meaning and relevance to urgent and urgent practical problems, which requirepractical solutions, such as the problem of employment opportunities for college graduates, which isincreasingly limited. educational funds and facilities, etc. Along with that, there is an assumption that thepresence of this philosophy of science is too early on the one hand, but it is also considered too late on theother hand. This research uses a literature study method by collecting data from various articles. The resultsillustrate that the development of the Philosophy of Science undergoes changes over time. the changes thatstarted from the prophetic era to the contemporary era in the Middle East experienced struggles in variouscircles and became one bright spot for a better future.

This study aims to determine the effect of the application ofthe guided inquiry learning model assisted by the Virtual Laboratory on the understanding of the conceptof light material and optical instruments for class VIII SMPN 24 Bekasi. To identify these problems,researchers using a quasi-experimental method (quasi-experimental), with a nonequivalent control groupdesign. This study obtained the result that the guided inquiry learning model with the help of virtuallaboratory media had an effect on increasing the ability to understand the concept of light and opticalinstruments. This is indicated by a significant increase in students' ability to understand science concepts,oral communication, collaboration, and problem-solving after following the guided inquiry learningprocess with the help of virtual laboratory media with an average of 8.49 in the experimental class while inthe control class 7.91

Abstract

Practicum and laboratory activities cannot be taken from biology learning. Activities require LaboratoryActivity Designs and Student Worksheets as instructions for their implementation. Based on the results ofa field study) that student worksheet measured in the field has several problems. Therefore, to overcomethis, an in-depth analysis and reconstruction of student worksheet is needed. This study aims to describethe results of the analysis, trials and reconstruction of student worksheet osmosis to meet the requirementsof the 2013 curriculum. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a sample of 8 studentworksheet from the 2004 curriculum, school based curriculum and 2013 curriculum. The selected studentworksheet uses purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was in the form of practicalanalysis, knowledge construction, and the relevance of the curriculum and content. Based on the results ofthe relevance analysis, most of the student worksheet are relevant to the curriculum. From the aspect ofknowledge construction, student worksheet cannot yet describe the development of student skills. Theresults of the reconstruction that have been made have been assessed by experts. The research method usedis descriptive qualitative with a sample of 8 student worksheet from the 2004 curriculum, school basedcurriculum and 2013 curriculum. Based on the results of the relevance analysis, most of the studentworksheet are relevant to the curriculum. Abstract

Earth Science System in the Community is a learning model relevant to the 2013 curriculum and canimprove students' critical thinking ability. The research aims to determine the effect of EarthComm learningmodels assisted by Avenza Maps application on students critical thinking ability. This type of research is aquasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research was held at High School 2Mojokerto in the even semester 2019/2020. Data analysis using Independent Sample T-Test with IBM SPSSStatistics 22 for Windows. The results showed there was quite a significant difference between the criticalthinking ability of the experimental class and the control class, evidenced by the value gain a score of theexperiment class (28.11) more significant than the control class (19.89). EarthComm learning model assistedby Avenza Maps application affecting the students critical thinking ability because the syntax of EarthComminvites students to observe directly in the field. Through direct observation, students can feel and understandwhat is happening in the field to improve students' critical thinking ability. Suggestions are given to (1) theteacher of Geography subjects, hopefully, able to implement EarthComm learning model assisted by AvanzaMaps application about the Earth system material that demands critical thinking capabilities in it; (2) furtherresearchers, it is advisable to replace or add other bonded variables.
