Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven changes in consumer behavior in accessing internet services and making purchase decisions. In the fixed internet service industry in Indonesia, there are indications of a mismatch between brand image and consumer purchase decisions, especially in First Media. This study aims to analyze the influence of Social Media Marketing on Purchase Decisions with Brand Image as a mediating variable. This study used a quantitative approach with 125 respondents selected through purposive sampling techniques and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The results of the study show that Social Media Marketing has a significant effect on Brand Image (T-Statistic = 8,936; P-Value = 0.000) and Purchase Decision (T-Statistic = 2.283; P-Value = 0.022). Brand Image also has a significant effect on Purchase Decisions (T-Statistic = 5.275; P-Value = 0.000). In addition, Brand Image has been shown to mediate the influence of Social Media Marketing on Purchase Decisions (T-Statistic = 4,203; P-Value = 0.000), which indicates the presence of partial mediation. These findings indicate that effective social media marketing not only directly affects purchasing decisions, but also indirectly through strengthening brand image.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a critical role in contributing to national economic growth. This study aims to examine the influence of financial knowledge and internal locus of control on MSMEs performance through the QRIS Adoption as a mediating variable among MSMEs in Sentra IKM, Gresik Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach, utilizing purposive sampling with a sample size of 89 respondents. Data analysis and hypothesis testing were conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that financial knowledge significantly enhances both MSMEs performance and QRIS adoption. However, internal locus of control does not directly affect MSMEs performance, though it positively influences QRIS adoption. While QRIS adoption significantly impacts MSMEs performance, it fails to mediate the relationship between financial knowledge and MSMEs performance. Conversely, QRIS adoption successfully mediates the effect of internal locus of control on MSMEs performance.

Abstract

Teacher performance at Public Junior High Schools in Central Bogor District was indicated to be suboptimal, particularly in technology adaptation, innovative teaching methods, and intrinsic motivation. This study aimed to empirically analyze the direct and indirect relationships and influences of Digital Technology Utilization, Learning Innovation, and Work Motivation on improving Teacher Performance. This quantitative study employed the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) method to test the constructed constellation model. The research population consisted of all Public Junior High School teachers in Central Bogor District, Bogor City. The total number of respondents in this study was 173. The results of the structural model test showed that the constructed model has a good fit. This is confirmed by the Goodness of Fit values, namely SRMR =0.029 and NFI = 0.936. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R2) for the Teacher Performance variable was 0.538. An R2 value above 0.500 indicates that the model is adequately explaining how much the independent variables are able to explain the dependent variable in the structural model, which is 53.8%. Teacher performance is directly and significantly influenced by the Digital Technology Utilization (X1) variable with a value of 0.447, and by work motivation (X2) with a value of 0.265. These findings provide theoretical contributions in enriching the foundation of education and technology theory, as well as practical benefits for schools and the government in formulating strategies to enhance teacher competence and professionalism in the digital era.

Abstract

Vocabulary is a foundational component of second-language acquisition, yet the rich Digital Authentic Materials (DAM) that senior high school students consume daily remain pedagogically underused. This study investigated the process, challenges, and outcomes of English vocabulary learning through DAM—YouTube, podcasts, and social media—among students of SMA Negeri 3 Bogor, Indonesia. Adopting a qualitative instrumental case-study design with an embedded quantitative component, data were gathered from 28 tenth-grade students through a structured questionnaire combining Likert scales and open-ended items, and from an in-depth interview with an English teacher serving as a supporting informant. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively (means, standard deviations, internal-consistency reliability), while qualitative data were analyzed thematically following Braun and Clarke. Findings show that YouTube and TikTok were the dominant platforms and that students engaged actively with DAM (composite M = 3.95), most often inferring meaning from multimodal context or consulting online dictionaries. Students perceived DAM as markedly different from textbooks (M = 4.14), valuing its engaging and audio visual nature. The most frequently reported challenges were rapid speech and unfamiliar slang, while affective and access barriers were comparatively minor. Reported vocabulary growth (M = 3.59) and confidence gains (M = 3.68) were moderately positive, with slang and informal conversational vocabulary acquired most. The teacher corroborated the contextual richness of authentic materials while emphasizing difficulty calibration and the need for digital infrastructure and training. The study contributes context-specific evidence for DAM-based vocabulary pedagogy and offers practical guidance for teachers, schools, and teacher-education programs in the Indonesian context.
