Abstract

The condition of the land, as the main capital for farmers in their efforts to produce food, is greatly influenced by climate factors, namely rainfall, temperature, and humidity, which can be beneficial or detrimental. The purpose of this study was to determine the daily pattern of soil temperature and humidity at different depths under sengon-peanut stands. The importance of soil temperature and humidity data is that they can be used as input for agroforestry management. The study used a survey method, a specific location, and a specific time. This study was conducted in the KPH Blitar Forest, East Java. The study was conducted for three (3) months, starting from November 2022 to January 2023. The average soil humidity was 78.39% at a depth of 10 cm, 78.76% at a depth of 15 cm, 78.77% at a depth of 20 cm, and 79.28% at a depth of 25 cm. The average soil temperature at 25 cm is 28.89°C, at 10 cm it is 29.04°C, at 20 cm it is 28.94°C, and at 15 cm it is 29.01°C. Conversely, the deeper the soil, the higher the soil moisture tends to be.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the regional economic potential in increasing Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) in the proposed expansion of Malamoi Regency from Sorong Regency. A mixed-methods descriptive approach was employed, incorporating qualitative descriptive analysis, Location Quotient (LQ), and sectoral contribution analysis. The findings reveal that the Malamoi region has six main economic potentials: agriculture, livestock, forestry, fisheries and marine, mining, and tourism. Based on LQ analysis, the broad agricultural sector is a base sector (LQ = 1.42 > 1) with potential as the primary economic driver, while the mining and tourism sectors are classified as non-base sectors (LQ < 1). In terms of contribution, the mining sector contributes the most (15.68%), the broad agricultural sector contributes moderately (9.57%), and tourism contributes minimally (0.33%). The study concludes that the economic potential of Malamoi can support PAD growth and strengthen regional fiscal independence when managed optimally with adequate infrastructure support.

Abstract

Waste management remains a critical challenge in developing regions of Eastern Indonesia, particularly in Kalibobo Urban Village, Nabire District, Central Papua Province. This study analyzes the availability of waste management facilities and the implementation of environment-based waste management policy in Kalibobo. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through field observations, interviews, and secondary data from BPS and the Environmental Agency (DLH) of Nabire Regency. Findings reveal that Kalibobo serves a population of 15,185 residents (3,796 households) with only one waste container far below the SNI 3242:2008 standard requiring 8–19 units. Service coverage is estimated at less than 20% of the village area. The 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) implementation rate is critically low at approximately 6%, and no TPS3R or waste bank exists. A significant policy-implementation gap is identified between national targets (30% waste reduction, 70% waste handling by 2025) and on-the-ground realities. The study recommends urgent infrastructure expansion, institutionalization of community-based 3R programs, and acceleration of the 2025–2026 DLH Roadmap to achieve sustainable and environment-based waste management.

Abstract

The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. This method is used to describe the analysis of the application of appropriate technology to support community business productivity in Seputih Agung Village, Seputih Agung District, Central Lampung Regency. All data were obtained directly from informants in the field using interviews and document studies. The research results show that (1) the implementation of Appropriate Technology in Simpang Agung Village, Seputih Agung District, Central Lampung Regency, according to the dimensions of (a) Compatibility, (b) Ease of Use (Simplicity/Complexity), (c) Efficiency and Productivity, (d) Affordability/ Accessibility, (e) Sustainability, and (f) Empowerment, has generally made a positive contribution to supporting community business productivity. The use of TTG can help business actors improve work efficiency, accelerate production processes, and improve product yields and quality compared to traditional methods. Furthermore, appropriate technology also plays a role in encouraging business independence, improving community skills, and opening up opportunities for increasing income based on local potential. (2) Aspects inhibiting the effectiveness of appropriate technology implementation have not been fully optimized because several obstacles still affect the sustainability and expansion of its use. These obstacles relate to the suitability of the technology to local needs, limited technical capabilities of users, affordability, and minimal ongoing mentoring.

Abstract

This study examines the leadership values of the Prophet Muhammad as a religious leader as well as the state in the perspective of Tafsir al-Munir by Wahbah al-Zuhaili. The background of this research is the phenomenon of contemporary leadership crises characterized by corrupt practices, abuse of power, and weak moral integrity of leaders, so that there is a gap between the ideal concept of leadership and the existing reality. This research is a library research with a qualitative approach. Primary data were obtained from verses of the Qur'an that narrated the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad, namely Surah Ali 'Imran verses 121–129 and 159–164, al-Ahzab verses 9–11 and 26–27, al-Fath verses 4–7, and al-Hasyr verses 1–5 which were analyzed based on the interpretation of Wahbah al-Zuhaili in al-Tafsir al-Munir. Data analysis uses a narrative analysis method. The results of the study found five main leadership values: (1) the ability to maintain religion while managing world affairs in an integrated manner; (2) the enforcement of justice in each policy; (3) divine legitimacy as the foundation of state security; (4) wise decision-making in confusing situations with long-term orientation; (5) spirituality as a support for power. This study concludes that the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad offers an ideal leadership model that integrates spiritual and socio-political dimensions, which is relevant to addressing contemporary leadership crises.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze local wisdom as a pedagogical foundation in elementary school teacher education in North Maluku and its implications for the competencies and professional identity of prospective teachers. The research is motivated by the dominance of formal pedagogy that tends to neglect local socio-cultural contexts, resulting in learning processes that are less contextual and less relevant to the realities of students’ lives. In fact, the people of North Maluku possess a rich body of local cultural values that have the potential to serve as epistemological sources in education and learning. This study employed a qualitative approach with an ethnopedagogical design. The research was conducted in teacher education institutions (LPTK) and elementary schools in North Maluku. The research subjects included PGSD lecturers, PGSD students, elementary school teachers, and community leaders selected purposively. Data collection techniques consisted of in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis used thematic analysis combined with a grounded theory approach through the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings reveal that local wisdom in North Maluku embodies values of collectivity, morality, social solidarity, and contextual learning that are strongly relevant to modern pedagogical practices. The transformation of local wisdom into a pedagogical foundation occurs through processes of cultural value identification, pedagogical reinterpretation, and integration into learning design. Such integration positively contributes to strengthening pedagogical competence, reflective abilities, cultural sensitivity, and the formation of the professional identity of prospective teachers as cultural agents. However, the implementation of local wisdom-based pedagogy still faces challenges, including curriculum limitations and the limited academic capacity of lecturers to systematically integrate local cultural values. This study confirms that local wisdom can serve as an epistemological foundation for teacher education that is contextual, inclusive, and relevant to the needs of local communities.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the Society 5.0 era demands a paradigm shift in the teacher’s role, evolving from a mere transmitter of cognitive content to a skilled facilitator with mature Social-Emotional Competencies (SEC). Although Game-Based Learning (GBL) has been widely acknowledged as effective for developing general pedagogical competencies, this study identifies a critical gap in SEC training for pre-service teachers. Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by PRISMA protocols, 32 articles were selected from five academic databases, enabling a thorough analysis of the limitations inherent in the solitary learning paradigm and the transformative potential of collaborative multiplayer approaches. Synthesis findings reveal that solitary learning simulations, which predominantly rely on interactions with Non-Player Characters (NPCs), significantly hinder the formation of SEC due to deterministic NPC responses, off-context dialogues, and a failure to elicit dynamic empathy and emotional regulation. In contrast, the collaborative multiplayer approach offers innovative solutions by facilitating authentic peer-to-peer interactions, dynamic scaffolding, and multimodal communication tools that enhance emotion recognition and regulation. These findings provide theoretical and architectural justification for the development of next-generation pre-service teacher simulation platforms that prioritize social learning for CASEL-grounded SEC development

Abstract

Tourism development increasingly faces various challenges, including environmental changes, economic uncertainty, natural disasters, and socio-cultural transformations that affect destination sustainability. Community-based tourism has emerged as an important approach for strengthening destination resilience through active local participation and utilization of local resources. This study aims to analyze community-based tourism resilience in Peringgasela Village, East Lombok Regency, using the perspective of Social–Ecological Resilience Theory. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving village government representatives, tourism awareness groups, weaving communities, local business actors, and local residents. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that tourism resilience in Peringgasela Village is built through four interconnected dimensions: social resilience, economic resilience, cultural resilience, and institutional resilience. Strong social capital, community participation, local economic diversification, preservation of traditional weaving culture, and stakeholder collaboration contribute significantly to strengthening the destination's adaptive capacity. The study concludes that strengthening community participation and local resources can create a resilient and sustainable tourism system at the village level.
