Abstract

The dominance of technocratic”“cognitive approaches in modern education often neglects the spiritual dimension and exemplary conduct as essential elements in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the teaching methods of the Prophet Muhammad from the perspective of hadith tarbawi, highlighting the Prophet’s educational strategies as a model of Islamic pedagogy that is relevant to contemporary education. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research design. The data were obtained from hadith tarbawi that describe the educational practices of the Prophet Muhammad, as well as relevant literature on Islamic education, and were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results show that the teaching methods of the Prophet Muhammad possess integrative, humanistic, and contextual characteristics. These are reflected in several key strategies, namely exemplary conduct (uswah), interactive dialogue (hiwar), gradual learning (tadarruj), the use of stories and parables, strengthening spiritual motivation (targhib wa tarhib), and differentiated instruction according to students’ characteristics. These strategies shape a holistic educational process that balances cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study concludes that the teaching methods of the Prophet Muhammad hold epistemological and practical significance for contextualization within modern educational systems that emphasize character formation and the strengthening of spiritual values in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the process of constructing and interpreting social trust among PPKn students at Universitas PGRI Ronggolawe, as well as to analyze how the dimensions of social trust shape students' response patterns and evaluations of information received through social media. This study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design grounded in post-positivist philosophy. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving five purposively selected third-semester students and one lecturer as a supporting informant. Data were analyzed using Creswell's six-step phenomenological analysis, ranging from the extraction of significant statements to the construction of essence descriptions, with data credibility ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that students construct social trust through three mutually reinforcing dimensions: interpersonal trust that substitutes relational closeness for content verification, institutional trust that erodes through accumulated experiences of formal institutional inconsistency, and generalized trust that becomes distorted by algorithmic virality logic. This study concludes that students' vulnerability to disinformation is not merely a matter of insufficient digital literacy, but a structural problem rooted in the ways social trust is constructed and operationalized in everyday digital life.

Abstract

Students' ability to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) critically and productively in learning is largely determined by the quality of their digital literacy. This study aims to analyze the strength of the relationship between digital literacy in the use of AI and students' learning motivation, uncover the meaning students give to this relationship, and identify the reinforcing and inhibiting factors underlying it. The design used is a quantitative study with a correlational design. The questionnaire instrument is based on a Likert Scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Because the data did not meet the assumption of normality (Kolmogorov-Smirnov Sig. = 0.005), hypothesis testing used Spearman Rank correlation. The results showed a significant positive relationship (r = 0.479; p = 0.000) with a coefficient of determination R² = 0.181, meaning that digital literacy in the use of AI contributes 18.1% to learning motivation. Descriptively, 93.2% of students are classified as high–very high digital literacy, and 95.9% have high–very high learning motivation. These findings underscore the urgency of explicitly integrating AI digital literacy training into the mathematics education curriculum.

Abstract

This research stems from the growing phenomenon of social resistance expressed through digital media, particularly on Instagram. The “Tuntutan 17+8” post offers a compelling example of how language is used to voice ideology and negotiate power relations in virtual spaces. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of ideology represented in this resistance discourse and to explain how linguistic functions shape its ideological meaning. The study applies a Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) approach with a qualitative descriptive method. Data from posts and comments were analyzed using Halliday’s three metafunctions: ideational, interpersonal, and textual. The findings reveal that the ideational function represents social experiences through criticism of injustice and expressions of solidarity; the interpersonal function shows how attitudes, emotions, and empathy create a sense of closeness between writers and readers; and the textual function organizes the message to strengthen the meaning of resistance. These findings suggest that language in digital spaces functions not only as a means of communication but also as a medium for negotiating ideology and building collective social awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of presentation-based learning in developing students’ critical thinking skills. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of this study were five students who participated in presentation-based learning. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that presentation-based learning is the dominant method used in the classroom; however, it has not been fully effective in developing students’ critical thinking. This is indicated by low student participation, limited understanding of the material, and lack of interaction during the learning process. Therefore, more optimal learning management is needed to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study produces the final product of developing audiovisual-based learning media using the Plotagon application and identifies students' numeracy and self-efficacy. The study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the learning media. This research applies the Research and Development (R&D) method in the process of developing learning media. The study involves all ninth-grade classes of MTs Negeri 1 Bangka in the 2025/2026 academic year, totaling 153 students, with class IXC consisting of 32 students as the research sample. The research instruments used include observation, document review, media expert validation questionnaires, material experts, language experts, and student self-efficacy questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results indicate that the learning media using the Plotagon application meet the criteria for being valid, practical, and effective. Students carried out numeracy tests in the learning process using the Plotagon application, achieving a classical completeness of 78% in the sample class with the school’s KKM score of 70. Then, the self-efficacy result reached 3.6, meaning the students’ self-efficacy reached a high category. Overall, with the development of valid, practical, and effective learning media, the use of audiovisual-based learning media using the Plotagon application can improve students' numeracy skills and self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the crucial role of language in the learning process, particularly the use of directive speech acts by teachers in teaching biographical texts. The limited variation in the use of directive speech acts, which tend to be direct and instructional, may affect students’ engagement and motivation during learning activities. Therefore, this study aims to (1) identify and describe the forms of directive speech acts used by the teacher, and (2) examine the speaking strategies applied in teaching biographical texts in a tenth-grade class at SMAN 1 Kamang Magek. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data consist of the teacher’s utterances during the learning process, collected through recording and note-taking techniques. The findings reveal that there are five forms of directive speech acts used by the teacher, namely commanding, requesting, suggesting, demanding, and challenging, with commanding as the dominant form. In addition, several speaking strategies were identified, including bald on-record strategy, positive politeness, negative politeness, off-record strategy, and speaking in silence, with the bald on-record strategy being the most dominant. These findings indicate that the teacher’s speech practices are still predominantly oriented toward direct instruction. Therefore, it is necessary to develop more varied, communicative, and persuasive speaking strategies to enhance students’ active engagement and foster reflective thinking in learning biographical texts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the news writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMPN 15 Padang before and after using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media, and to analyze the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media on students' news writing skills. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental approach. The research design used a one-group pretest and posttest design, consisting of one sample class. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data obtained were news writing skill scores, which were then converted into grades. The results showed that the news writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMPN 15 Padang after implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media improved compared to before the treatment. The average score before the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media was 52.15, qualifying as Almost Sufficient (HC), while the average score after the treatment increased to 83.40, qualifying as Good (B). Based on the results of the statistical test, the calculated t value > t table (15.86 > 1.70) was obtained at a significance level of 0.05 with a 95% confidence level. Thus, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media has a significant effect on students' news text writing skills.

Abstract

Learning constitutes the core of the educational process aimed at developing students’ potential in a comprehensive manner. In the perspective of Islamic education, learning is not merely understood as a process of knowledge transmission, but also as a process of cultivating values, moral character, and spiritual awareness. This study aims to analyze the essence of learning from the perspective of Islamic education through a conceptual and pedagogical approach. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. The data were obtained from various academic sources, including books and scholarly journal articles relevant to the research topic. Data collection was conducted through documentation studies, while data analysis employed descriptive-analytical methods to systematically examine the concept of learning within Islamic education. The findings reveal that learning in Islamic education possesses an integrative character that combines cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions. Learning is not solely intended to develop students’ intellectual abilities, but also to instill moral and spiritual values as the foundation for character formation. Therefore, learning in the perspective of Islamic education emphasizes the balance between the development of knowledge and the cultivation of moral character, aiming to produce individuals who are knowledgeable, faithful, and possess noble character.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a valid, practical, and effective physics e-module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) integrated with TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) on work and energy material for grade XI high school students. The research employed a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) with a total of 45 participants consisting of 10 students in the small group trial and 35 students in the large group trial. The e-module was developed using Canva application and distributed through the Heyzine Flipbook platform. Research results demonstrated that the e-module received very valid rating from content experts with a score of 96.6% and valid rating from media experts with a score of 77.8%. Practicality testing revealed very practical results from physics teachers (96.6%), small group trial (99%), and large group trial (99.42%). Effectiveness testing using normalized N-Gain showed a learning outcome improvement of 0.68 in the medium category, with a change in mean score from 52.86 on the pre-test to 85 on the post-test. The physics e-module based on PBL integrated with TPACK was declared very valid, very practical, and effective as a teaching material for high school physics. It proved capable of significantly improving students' conceptual understanding and learning outcomes.
