Abstract

Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) refers to soft tissue pain resulting from irritation of local points within the skeletal muscle and myotendinous junctions. MTP produces pain with any activating stimulus (direct or indirect trauma), causing local and referred pain, tenderness, motor dysfunction, autonomic phenomena, and hyperexcitability of the central nervous system. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Neuromuscular Taping (NMT) and Myofascial Release (MR) intervention in reducing pain in patients with Myofascial Pain Syndrome of the Upper Trapezius Muscle. Methods: Case study with pre and post-test research design that compares the pain values before and after being measured with a measuring instrument Visual Analog Scale (VAS)  to determine the effect of Myofascial Release (MR) and Neuromuscular Taping (NMT) on the condition of Myofascial Pain Syndrome in the Upper Trapezius Muscle for 4 weeks Result: the results of the Wilcoxon test analysis indicated that P<0.05, with a P value of 0.000. Therefore, it was determined that in patients with Upper Trapezius Muscle Myofascial Pain Syndrome, there was a difference in pain levels before and after receiving physiotherapy techniques such as Neuromuscular Taping (NMT) and Myofascial Release (MR).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of hoop media on chest pass accuracy in basketball. Where students still make a lot of mistakes when passing, especially when doing the chest pass technique, so that the accuracy in passing the ball is not on target to teammates. Given these problems, this research attempts to create a training program to make it easier for students to do chest passes in the game of basketball using hoops. The method used is Quasi-Experimental. The population of this study were students who took part in basketball extracurricular activities at SDN Jatiendah Kab. Bandung. Data was collected through the pretest and posttest stages using the AHHPERD test research instrument. The final result of this research was Sig. 0.000 because a = <0.05, which means there is an influence of hoop media on the accuracy of chest pass targets in basketball. The magnitude of the influence of the hoop media on the accuracy of the chest pass target was obtained by correlation results, namely 0.598, which if entered in percent form becomes 59.8%. With these findings, it can be concluded that the application of training using hoops has a positive influence, and makes a strong contribution to students' ability to do chest passes on target using hoops.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there is an increase in the endurance of futsal athletes through feeding green bean porridge. Experimental type of research. Experimental research is research that seeks to find the influence of certain variables on other variables under strictly controlled conditions. So the population of this study was all futsal athletes at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. A sample of 10 people was obtained based on the criteria, namely males aged 15-17 years using a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive tests, normality tests, and T-tests (hypothesis tests) using a computer via SPSS 16.0 with a sig level of 0.05. Based on data analysis, the results of descriptive tests with the group given green bean porridge obtained an average value (mean) of 37.61 with a standard deviation of 2.99 a minimum value of 32.90, a maximum of 41.10. The group without giving green bean porridge obtained an average value (mean) of 34.64 with a standard deviation of 3.49 a minimum value of 29.50 and a maximum of 39.90. The results of the data normality test were with a total of Asymp= 0.99 (pretest) and with a total of Asymp= 0.65 (posttest) where the value of sig0.00 <0.05. Hypothesis test results (T-test) data between the pretest and post-test have a mean difference of 92.97) so it can be concluded that there is an increase in giving 100 grams of green bean porridge to vo2Max in futsal athletes at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar.
